  1. It is when you try stuff that pushes you, rather than just doing stuff you know you can do :$
  2. Yeah, therefore brakes have little significance to flange damage. I think? I'm getting confused now Back to work...
  3. I know what you mean In my mind, the torque created by pedalling is insignificant compared with landing a failed 360 down an 8-set though...
  4. Well, the force ends up at the flange via the spoke whether you have a disc brake or not And at least with a disc brake the torque is equally (pretty much) spread between all 16 trailing spokes, whereas a harsh landing only transfers into the few spokes opposite the impact.
  5. To you Dave - Flipp is HARSH on wheels!
  6. That's the one! I couldn't find a pic. Same idea.
  7. Wondered how many people would watch that far I managed to twat my head while getting out, haha.
  8. Seen him ride in the flesh? Shimano did something similar a few years back, the spokes broke fairly quickly which is why they don't do them any more...
  9. Maybe for a round or two Van graphics - why not?
  10. Hello all, Here's some clips from Sunday bashed into a vid. We were trying to do '3 strikes' for most of the clips as we didn't want to be stood around too long in the cold... Cheers, Adam
  11. Well the forks in that video must be pretty old, the cable guide hasn't been on the disc forks for a long time. "Less flex? Stronger build? Are the 2013 better than the 09/12?" Yes, yes and that's subjective depending on what you mean by best.
  12. Agreed Yeah, that's what we do.
  13. Try-All don't quote ERDs for their rims unfortunately.
  14. Good idea! Heating the hose isn't necessary though, plus it makes is weaker.
  15. That's true. And it will also allow crud to get into the system, as the lip seal won't be sealing any more... Just woke up and posting on your phone for the lose
  16. Horizontal dropouts, normal 'round hole' disc mounts, that's all you need.
  17. It'll be 356 I think, then nearer 358 with the chain stretch. You can't put 'proper' geo sometimes or it blows people's minds not seeing round numbers If you have vertical dropouts, you will need some sort of tensioner, because of the chain stretch. 2mm extra length makes a chain VERY flappy.
  18. LOL. Right click, view image info, dimensions... 500 x 476.
  19. 1% chain stretch = time to change it. So that's... about 2mm for a 400mm chainstay.
