  1. Could you quantify / back that up in any way? Echo's email address is on their website for feedback, too
  2. Haha, I don't know! Why will you be looking forward to those dates?! Edit: Found out, and we fixed that :$
  3. Here's a vid from Saturday at Oulton. Was freezing cold all day, and rain overnight meant the track was pretty dodgy early on! It dried throughout the day to end up with an almost fully dry line. The vid is pretty long... The first bits are most entertaining I think, then maybe the last few minutes to show the contrast between morning and afternoon conditions! 0:05 - Bessell going sideways a lot 1:05 - Me going sideways a lot 1:54 - Me chasing Dave with Stan as passenger 6:05 - A lap on my own hunting down a Porsche 8:20 - Me driving with Adam in the passenger seat, following Stan 11:40 - Clear lap with a dry track (turns out my quickest at Oulton in that car) 14:00 - Me doing it wrong!
  4. This year, SanTart and his Elves have made a re-appearance! We have created an advent calendar with a new and different special offer for each day through December, up to and including Boxing Day. These discounts are spread across a wide range of products, and are up to 40%! Please note the offers are not redeemable against orders already placed or after the day they have been run, so make sure you keep checking back. Click here to see our advent calendar!
  5. Our Facebook - the estimated price, at the moment, is likely to be around£45, but this is NOT confirmed!
  6. Didn't they build the car in the first place? That's a pretty serious case of 'doing it wrong' if some of the bolts had dropped out!? You would have noticed the low oil pressure anyway, but still, good job they found it!
  7. Put one on my Fiesta (a DTUK one) - made a small difference, but that also completely shat itself causing huge engine damage about a year later.

To a point - the bedding in process relies on having the mechanism being repeatedly fully engaged, fully disengaged and fully re-engaged too.
  9. You will have to fit them back on and give it a try.
  10. They are M12 - but you have most likely damaged the crank
  11. Take a case of beers down to your local engineering place and bribe someone to knock one up at lunchtime

Yep, that's normal, and you don't need to bother bedding those in.
  13. Goldtec make all the hubs in house - if they don't have them in stock, nowhere will, but they should be able to make one!
  14. It's cool innit. Nah, I agree, they look totally shit! That MX-5 is so ruined.
  15. We would look at each case upon it's own merit, but most likely it would be replaced.
  16. They have - but manufacturing and materials defects can happen (like with anything), which is what the warranty is for.
  17. I'm on +75, 180 x 35 stem, 20mm spacers, Try-All Carbon bars. But I am weird
  18. Haha, yeah no ABS, the only electronics run the spark plugs, rad fan and the lights! Yeah, I was taking it pretty easy on the brakes. A few reasons... the front discs are cross drilled (I didn't spec them!) and have small cracks, the lockup at 40s put me off a bit (they were being very strict with cars causing red flags, as in, cause more than one and you go home), with the car being so light and stiff (and 55% rear weighted) you have very little weight transfer to the front wheels under braking and it's very easy to lock them up, so only when you get some tyre temperature can you start to lean on the brakes (22.15 in the vid). The was the first time all day I could feel the tyres start working - there was too much traffic the rest of the day to build any heat in those conditions. Haha, I plan to Won't tell you about it or invite you along though It was a Caterham owner's website, don't suppose you know anywhere that has reliable data / info please? If not no worries!
  19. You have a lot more torque though (like... double). Which is arguably more useful... I want more torque! (Hence the intake system re-working).
  20. About 390bhp/ton (589kg). However, doing some calcs, it shoudn't be able to do 125mph and still going (speedo showed 130 and I set it a bit over for road driving) if it has that amount of bhp, due to the drag and frontal area. So it might have a bit more. I'm going to do a bit of work on the intake system that will mean a RR session, so we will see...
  21. Haha. Heavy footed And used to 4wd...
  22. Cheers dude - yeah I think so. Was a bit nervous taking it all the way to Silverstone without a prior 'smaller' track day, but it ran perfect all day. Did a full cooling system re-hose and changed all the routings, temp was rock solid. Winter trackdays are where its at! Cheap as chips (relatively), Oulton this Saturday too...
  23. With difficulty! Haha, you need to diss Bessell about that next time you see him :wink2: I nearly cried when I saw the video, haha.
