Weellll... There sort of is. The weight transfer is always rearward under acceleration, so FWD will always lose out there. In related news, had an awesome day at Oulton Park in my real ( ) wheel drive car today, will bosh a vid or two up later. Edit: Brum brum video #1

Tartybikes Website Update (Latest 29th Nov 2013)
AdamR28 replied to AdamR28's topic in Website Updates
When I've done the voiceovers (not easy) and Mark's edited them (time consuming)... so, probably a couple of weeks. -
Anyone wanting a cheap track day car, these are bargains! http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=18&t=1256088&mid=309169&nmt=Anyone+looking+for+a+trackday+ready+MX-5+for+800+quid%3F%3F%3F

Indeed. Yeah, tailpipe probe. I have a boss in the exhaust to fit the LC-1 they were using but they didn't use it... The guy managed to wedge his knee against the dash trying to get in, CRRAAACKK! I pointed it out and he didn't even apologise!
-
It will get stuck. There's no other way to describe it really! Did you leave the seal on when you sanded the piston?
-
Indeed! Yeah, but it's clearly bollocks... Just some 'evidence' to show how crap that company is. They also managed to crack my dash and told me the AFR was safe at 16.5:1...
-
You just need to get a real engine with a steel wire from pedal to throttle bodies In related news, here's a seemingly fictional graph (apart from the AFR) I paid £60 for at CRD Performance (also call themselves F1 Automotive) in Bolton. I suggest steering clear of these idioits! On the flip side, Brakes International are winners and replaced my leaky MX-5 front calipers without question (I neglected to tell you about those on Sunday, Nick (A) ).

Need to crack on with work, but, video now, chat later... Start: Doing it wrong Middle: Single lap trying pretty hard End: 3 laps following Clive / Stig PS: I'm only kidding about the scene cars, each to their own of course

Yeah, quality day today! Good to see you again dude. Glad the car went well. Didn't seem to have any issues at all? You need to make Oulton a reality sometime And then I can drive your car on a circuit I know It was pretty manly by the way, felt very chunky and the torque was awesome! Haha, it's absolutely fine, she's not bothered at all, and those tyres are f**ked anyway Currently exporting a vid... Will bang it up when done. Have one following your dad if you wanna see that too? It's a Trafic van, seems to 'slipstream' fairly well, no problems with MPG today Prawn can tell you how good they are Haha, I getcha, that's ok then They are great fun, but not very practical... Sweet - look forward to seeing it!

First half of your post good, second half bad The reason they handle so well is that Mazda made everything balanced from the factory, once you fit stupid wheels and drop them to the floor they don't handle as well. I have a completely standard one as a daily driver and it's such a brilliant car, not practical at all but its easy to work on, spares are cheap, cheap insurance and so much fun. Very reliable mechanically but obviously rust can be an issue... Literally every drive should includes t least one sideways moment by the way!

More pictures! Used to be my daily, now SORNed and will be used on track and drift days. Sidelight removed to help 'flush' the engine bay of hot air. Bonnet pins becauseracecar. Rear window held in with bent bits of spoke (zip broke and the press studs I fitted are shit and undo themselves when you get above about 80mph). Bigger brakes from the 1.8 model, some sort of Koni coilovers, buckets, harnesses, roll bar, T1Rs for when its wet / cold. The rest standard. Bust steering lock (forgot the key one track day so had to break it), radio ripped out, carpets etc pulled out, modified pedals. Datalogger on the dash and GoPro in the seat are worth more than the car Easiest engine ever to work on Standard apart from the air filter which only really increases noise and a bit of throttle response. AC and PAS removed (29kg saved!). And my latest project - covering my trailer. Was a bit of a ball-ache but will be so much better when it's wet.

A lot of trials companies' bike weights seem to be around 300-400g too light, so we reckon they are weighing them without pedals (as is convention in the MTB world). But, that's misleading, so we weigh them with. If we don't put 'including pedals' on the description, we get loads of emails saying 'XYZ company says on their website the bike weighs xxx, why is yours heavier?'.
-
Doesn't look too bad for an airfield! Although I kept getting 'lost' due to the lack of features. See you tomorrow!
-
Got a little bit of sick in my mouth cos of the last page with all the cars balanced on their sumps and those terrible 5 spoke wheels (Slightly in jest But not really.)
-
Looks like High Rise bars dude - I also remember Rob coming up to get the parts and pretty sure they were the high ones...
-
If there's anything you don't need its a new piston, it's the least likely part of the brake to have a non-fixable issue. Take the lever off and check if it's actually getting stuck, then you can decide what to do next.
-
Trialtech ones last literally 10 times longer. Wash your current ones (washing up liquid and some warm water) and they'll feel much better.
-
I think you're better off cash-wise to sell privately and barter down on the Elise for a cash sale, but for ease / speed trade in would win obviously... Big difference in those two cars btw! You definitely have no excuse not to come on trackdays then Put a bit to it and get an Exige?
-
Translation: Depends where you live!
-
Nick has free passenger slots with his booking so it'd be rude not to

Aye, looking forward to it in my mobile chicane In related news, got a bunch of wires, a 1A fuse and holder, some spade connectors and a Race Technolgoy DL1 Datalogger on my desk. That's tonight's job sorted then... As well as finishing the cover for my trailer. And prepping for the track day. And...

He really grates on me somehow, definitely couldn't stand an hour of him!
