  1. Fair point! Not like we were going quick or going to crash though, so it's all good (A)
  2. Haha, I went out with Prawn too, poorly-fitting harnesses for the lose!
  3. Looks seriously fun... Can't believe they let you drive in shorts and T-Shirt with no marshals around though, haha
  4. Strength to weight to price, the Echos win I think. Had a set on my bike for about 2 years now, I'm about 90kg and do a lot of Batmans. Bashers won't call them strong, but given the weight and price they are very good imo.
  5. That's a different move - where the front wheel is on top of something and the rear wheel isn't hanging.
  6. Yeah, I think it was a Koxx Days Aran Cook / Ali C / Stan Shaw phrase, 'hanging like a bat'.
  7. Yeah, was in the confirmation email we got: Oh well, just need to try and keep people away 'til 5 I guess
  8. We've been told it doesn't open til 5 which is the time when all the trade stands need to be set up by. Website lists it opens at half 5 I think? Confusion Edit: website now says half 3, grr.
  9. Everyone with a Fourplay Pro bike, so that's a lot of people. Works great, never had a return on this item used in this way.
  10. Either the same or decreased (eg. rounded down so less faffing with change). We'll probably take a set down, but we have none for sale yet, sorry.
  11. Why can't you use the Tomacs? Would use normal noodle and the cable stops on the frame, personally.
  12. Hello all, Just a quick note to let everyone know our phone lines will be closed on Friday 26th July as we are travelling down to set up at Radfest. We'll be there offering free bike-tweaking as well as selling essential spares to keep you up and running for the weekend. See you there! Adam

Hmm. Probably a 2014 one actually. Of the 'known' brakes I'd go with '05 with 4 finger blade though. Simply because I prefer the lever travel arc with the radial mounted cylinder design. In terms of returns and breakages we've had far far less with the 'plastic' levers, and they do feel good when set up correctly.

It's not, but the bodies on the '11 brakes aren't flexy despite being made from 'plastic'.
  15. How much does that bike weigh? Cheap, light, strong - pick two.
  16. With normal pads, they are pretty loud, but work well... Don't like heat! A better quality carbon fibre would take more heat though.

I got bored with people slagging off the 'plastic' levers, so here's the reason for the 2011 brakes being 'flexy':
  18. Depending on how and where it's snapped and where the person is hitting it, the axle may flare out when you smash it, and then it won't go through the bearing
  19. Yeah, that's part of the issue. Plus, with the sport being smaller, the production batches are much smaller so the cost per item is higher... Vicious circle.
  20. Point proven (Not directly aimed at you - it's a common thing from speaking to customers).
