  1. Good stuff - glad the postie got it to you quickly! Putting the parts in a jiffy bag is the easy bit haha. Thanks for your order and kind words
  2. So come on then, what power? Or is that for Prawn to reveal? Racing at Cadwell this weekend, cannot wait!

If your 05 brakes had a pop feel then something was wrong!
  4. Aahh Herpes, the most pikey delivery service around.
  5. http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/rim_brake_spares/magura_barbed_fitting/c5p376.html The thread is M6 x 1.0 - you might be able to find one local but it's a slightly strange item.
  6. A seat is 4 bolts (and maybe a couple of clips if you have airbags / pre-tensioners) - can change a seat in 10 mins once you've done it before.

Unfortunately not. Have you felt the blade on these brakes? They feel muuuch nicer than the older ones IMO. Edit: I should be more clear - they are wider and more rounded, feel a bit like an Avid SD7 lever or something.

There are better people than me to aim that question at www.tensile.net
  9. Way too hot On the photo above, the left hand side of the screen is the outside edge of the tyre, is that correct? 2 bar hot sounds fairly low, I'm running about 1.5bar on a 700kg (with occupants etc) car with 'soft sidewall' tyres and just over 2 bar on 970kg with Federals. Guessing your car is nearer 1300kg? Seems weird that the temp spread is even at only 2 bar Guess the tyres are really low profile?

Not yet... they are still undergoing some work. I've been speaking with them over the last week or so to try and help with the changes. New piston, new bleed screw and tweaked TPA wheel are on the cards. In 2014 Magura news... we have FINALLY got our first delivery! http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/hydraulic_rim_brakes/magura_hs33_2014/c72p12194.html
  11. I'm scalene the walls at how funny these jokes are!
  12. New favourite thread ever
  13. Set the pressures using temperature - it should be around 80 degrees in use (realistically with an IR sensor and after bringing the car in you'll only see 30-40 though), with a ~10-15 degree split across the tyre, with the inside edge being hotter (example: inside edge 40, middle 35, outer edge 30). The centre of the tread should ideally be bang inbetween the inner and outer edge. Tweak pressures until this is the case. Sounds like you have been underinflating the tyres a lot at the moment, and more pressure should help support the tyre and reduce the outside edge wear. You might need to soften the car up now though, as more air in the tyres will add rate to the (already looking pretty stiff IMO) suspension system...
  14. Maybe even more than that... And yes, the green 106 beast, parked at Waitrose in Bromley, was it?
  15. And you can't do it on low stuff, the bike needs to be nearly vertical. Check out how much work the rear tyre does too.
  16. Ah, it's good you already have the tool! Sometimes you can just buy a different cutter (http://weldtite.co.uk/products/detail/head-tube-reamer-campag-lower) depending on which tool you have, so that you don't need to buy a complete tool and it will save money... They are still quite expensive though
  17. Sorry - it's my fault! It's like this: http://www.parktool.com/blog/repair-help/headtube-reaming-and-facing - but with special tool for Campagnolo headset (road bike).
  18. Yes, the top race needs reaming out (it's distorted by the welding between head tube and top tube), it's a Campag style bearing.
  19. Be linked to the top bit, or just sticky from lack of maintenance. Here's the bolts: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/disc_brake_spares/hope_reservoir_bolt/c110p11213.html - can cut a slot and use screwdriver as said though. Fit new diaphragm, bleed, spray silicone on pistons, pump brake a little, push pistons back, repeat last 2 steps a few times, then clean up thoroughly and good to go
  20. Sounds like the diaphragm is either dead, not seated correctly (common - people overtighten the reservoir bolts, they literally only have to be nipped down, no more), or missing. Pretty sure it's the 07 one: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/disc_brake_spares/hope_mini_lever_diaphragm/c110p10151.html (appears to be the same item as in this kit: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/disc_brake_spares/hope_race_trial_zone_lever_rebuild_kit/c110p11993.html)
