  1. Ah - thank you Should change the feel of the bike hugely, let us know how you get on Enjoy!
  2. I'm gonna be a douche here and contradict what Sam just said (It's ok, we know each other!) I would probably go with a stem swap instead, it's cheaper (£20 new), easier (7 bolts rather than having to remove grips etc), and will make a greater difference to the feel of the bike than the bars. Something around 90-110mm length and 35 degree rise would be a good shout. There's a few brands who will just stick a logo on the same forged stem from the Far East (which are more than up to the job) so you can probably pick one up from your local shop if you wanted to have a look before you buy. This is the sort of thing though: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/26_inch_stems/bbb_forged/c41p11644.html
  3. Erm, sort of, I guess. The pressure is nearly as high as a normal disc brake due to the leverage ratio of the lever, though... It would do to be fair, just people don't seem to have tried it!
  4. In for this - thanks Dave Email heading your way...
  5. Nothing! Bah humbug. In all seriousness... nothing apart from £50 on the wife (that's our agreed limit).
  6. Can fit inserts though, if the designer is on the ball. Bad pic but... http://fcdn.mtbr.com/attachments/brake-time/840800d1382406979-my-ghetto-rigged-xtr-m965-post-mount-imag0588.jpg We get a lot of people getting confused with +20 mounts, there's pros and cons to both...
  7. Yes, but the leverage ratios will be allllll over the place - disc brake lever has 'more power'.
  8. Know what you mean dude. It's definitely less gay than a totally standard one to be fair (which I drive every day), haha. Have a soft spot for that shape Civic, seen a few on track days and they always go well!
  9. Nearly - the pivot location is slightly different (thus the body and lever blade differ a little), but the fittings, piston, seals, etc are the same.
  10. ^^ Yep, looks shit Nah, that is one of the more 'manly' ones, but all the aero and scene stuff doesn't look right. Have you driven a Mk1 Mikey, out of interest? Not a loaded question - just curious!
  11. Haha, I was waiting for that Pretty much, they look gay but drive ace.
  12. Can't see the outside of the car when you're driving it
  13. Everything should be answered here: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/pages/terms_and_conditions.html#ordering Feel free to fire us an email if you have any more questions

  15. Good for the road as an 'OE+' type pad, adequate for mild track, useless for hard track.
  16. Claire's dad has a mill he converted to CNC, likes doing little jobs like this, can put you in touch if you like?
  17. Smashed rear bodywork, fog light, numberplate, squashed fuel tank, one bent bit of chassis. Only took 2 hours to get all that off and prep the chassis for a new bit of tube (love cars that literally bolt together with no trim, arch liners and shit), so I've decided to rip the brakes apart and start fitting twin masters, a bias bar and dash adjuster while I wait for people to get back to me about fibreglass and fuel tank... Man logic at it's best
  18. And to counter that, I've always used them with no issues, because the place next door does them for about a quid and I'm a cheapskate
  19. It actually makes me happy too, but I wouldn't go as far as you with the wax, hehe. I used some cheap £5 'waterless car washing' stuff that is still beading a couple of months later.
  20. Yep, water sat on top of a car
  21. Wow, that's amazing beading, that wax must have been about £800 a tub?!
  22. You would need the disc hose in that case. I seem to remember us having something kicking around, give us a bell Monday
  23. Thanks, I guess so - the car is kinda flattering though, it's so capable...
