  1. Haha, nice idea... I need your artfag skills to make that happen Strap a pair on lad
  2. I've realised I've mis-read your post... I think... you mean their cost price is £45, not they are selling them at that? Either way that's still less than the cost price of the £60 RRP tyre (unless they have a different source).
  3. Haha, not at all, I'm just joking around. Just seems odd they would sell at a loss, that's all.
  4. Fair play, maybe best to support them then as selling stuff at a loss they won't be open long
  5. RRP of the 'best' one is £60: http://www.madison.co.uk/products/cycling/tyres-tubes-wheel-components/tyres/der-kaiser-26-x-2-5-inch-apex-black-chili-tyre/, so sounds like the one in the shop at £45 is a different one.
  6. ^^ Pretty much. More expensive = 'better' compound. I do wish Continental would make these things more clear though!
  7. It's actually been made, was going to co-incide release with the frame kits but as it was a bit stunted and they flew out without any promo required it's still sat doing nothing... But it needs releasing so I'll do that now!
  8. The truth is always the best sales pitch
  9. There's also the Because: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/20_inch_stems/because_welded/c29p11120.html Both the Echo and Because are pretty fugly though...
  10. They're back! http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/20_inch_stems/trialtech_race_forged/c29p10462.html (was never made in a 30 degree, always been 35)
  11. ... However the position and size of the splinter needs to be taken into consideration. I assume there will be a barrage of emails when I get to work Iain
  12. That's a really cool idea Alex, I think I might have to copy! Looks like you had a great season as well Edit, I might struggle as the car is in bits already, hmmm, haha
  13. Haha, cool. With new pads I tend to use fairly harsh sandpaper first (like 80 or 120 grit) to remove the paint, then a lighter grade like 400 to make it smooth. A good brake cleaner, or methylated spirit (the purple stuff that smells nice ) or similar is good for inside the caliper too.
  14. The same effect as how a disc brake works - two smooth surfaces will try to stick together. Here's some info I posted previously: http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=134278&p=1857318 This is why I asked for pics of the back of the pad and the inside of the caliper earlier, if you have some I'd like to take a look
  15. Has been trying to for a while I think. Rear hub looks totally new, probably a Pro2 copy...
  16. Looks like Darth Vader lost his chest protector
  17. Cheers for helping to organise this Dave! ^^ Agreed. There must be loads of people who haven't even heard this news as they aren't into trials any more, or just don't use t'internet.
  18. Yeah, that's normal. The pins are only to stop the pads falling completely out, not to prevent shifting in the caliper.
  19. Please update the thread with news, or send us an email directly Thanks.
  20. It's taken a while (sorry!) but we've got saved baskets up and running now. You can save it to your customer area or email yourself a link. You also have the option to email the basket to a friend or relative with a note attached (such as 'buy me this stuff please!'), or you can create a basket and send the link to us to check part compatibility etc. Quite a few people have used it over the weekend so it seems to function perfectly, but any issues do let me know
  21. Are they official Hope pads? What's the width of both pairs? Any pics of the inside of the caliper? And the back of the new pad? Magnet doesn't matter and the hole for the pin is only to stop the pads falling 'vertically' out of the caliper, but I've never seen that before. 'Tearing' rotors is trialsrider talking rubbish again
  22. Managed to wangle a couple more, should be arriving Monday... But have a feeling they'll go fast again!
