  1. Yeah, we'd like it to be a standalone event.
  2. Agreed, you could get a couple of sweet cars for that sort of money JD! In related news, drove a mate's 350bhp supercharged k20 engined 750kg Exige s1 on track today, what a weapon! Could not believe how well it puts the power down and how easy it was to drive... Oh and supercharger whine is addictive! (Old video of the car, not me driving)
  3. If the bite point is nearly touching the handlebar there is lots of air in the brake. It's very very unlikely you need to replace anything, only if there is a loyal. You don't use a syringe to bleed it, have a look on the hope website for the instructional video. I'll try and put the link here but it's a pain using a phone...
  4. Just a note on those hoses, they will make your lever very slow to respond.
  5. Go to the top of the largest hill nearby, you'll see loads of fireworks without having to do battle with a load of London pricks and it's free!
  6. We're just waiting for the competition calendar to be confirmed then we'll sort a weekend
  7. To be fair mine was pretty good as well
  8. Oh, I mean the standard axle that comes with whichever ProT rear hub you've got (if that makes sense). Or not in your case as you have / had a Skye The EVO and non-Evo versions of the hubs seem to be slightly different, pain in the ass.
  9. It's just the standard Pro2 T rear axle as far as I know.
  10. Yeah, that was exactly my thought too. I think this is meant to be a surprise for him... Dave? Maybe wait til everything's sorted then ask who he'd like the cheque to be made out to?
  11. Wasn't sure how Martyn would take a direct donation, but seems it's been ok-d. What do people think about sending it to him directly instead?
  12. Is the rotor straight though? Sorry to sound stupid but there's a difference between a new rotor and a straight rotor! If it is, then there must be air in the brake somewhere. And it will take a few rides for the back of the pads to wear in, these will be a shiny circle when they are done
  13. Awesome as always I would definitely forget where to go, hah.
  14. Winter is the best time of the year for trackdays, you just need a right wheel drive car. Then you can use cheap shit road tyres and spend all day on the edge of traction doing about 3mph.
  15. The video does unfortunately show that there is air in the system - or at least it's not completely full of brake fluid. Do you know the 'top up trick'? That would solve this without having to do a complete bleed. The lever doesn't scrape the body, it hits the body when the lever completely bottoms out if the lever is pulled without having been attached to a brake. This is what made the mark on the back of your lever blade. The squeak is something different - the half moon washer I would say (90% likely), but could be the pivot (10% likely). It's hard to describe, sorry I can't make it more clear but my brain is tired.... haha.
  16. Yes, and no But you don't need to... The squeaking is likely to be the half moon washers (they are aluminium rather than plastic like in a Magura), drop some chain lube on them, the same with the pivot for the lever blade. The silver mark on the back of the lever blade is from pulling the lever without fluid in, the lever blade hits the body and causes this 'dent'.
  17. It looks just like a Magura, nothing to see really, aluminium piston, and a blue lip seal which is chunkier than the normal white one. I'll pop it on the to-do list but I don't do product photos any more and there's a bit of a backlog at the mo so it's likely to be the new year at the earliest...
  18. Yep, the lip seal is much more beefy than standard too.
  19. But if the system isn't full of brake fluid it will be attempting to pull a vacuum, which holds the piston in.
  20. It does actually have a little air in - the 'free' stroke at the start when you took all the TPA off indicates this.
  21. Kept telling you it's all good and you just need to release it MOAR.
