  1. In that case you should just get a BMX. Fo' zerius.
  2. I won't let you, because you'll die when the chain snaps first time you pedal hard
  3. Somehow it doesn't bother me at all.
  4. I don't really get dyno videos... I guess that's a pretty impressive result for that engine though? Didn't sound very good, I was waiting for something mental at the end!
  5. Same as the other ones that look the same (108.9, Rockman, Bonz, etc) but stronger springs.
  6. I meant Iain... you can be excused haha
  7. DON'T DO IT! You'll die, instantly. Actually no, do it.
  8. Haha, no worries, I do that all the time too
  9. Correct, product description states - in bold and underlined - Tickets are non-transferable. Pretty much. Although we have the same overall limit of people, so they are split across the two, if that makes sense. We wanted to find a balance of 'rewarding' those who came last year, but still making sure people who didn't would have enough tickets available. At the moment they are selling almost exactly evenly, which is cool
  10. "As a thank you to those who supported Tarty Days in its first year under the new format, we have decided to reserve a portion of the tickets to ensure you have the best chance of coming again if you wish. This ticket is exactly the same as the general ticket in all other ways. So, if you attended last year, please select a priority ticket, otherwise please select a general sale ticket. Priority ticket sales will be cross checked against last year. Any unsold priority tickets as of 30th April will be made available to general sale." We tried to make it as clear as we could but have had a few questions about it already - if it's not easily understandable please let me know and we'll try to re-word it somehow.

  12. Brass ones are factory fit and only work one way, the black ones work both ways round.
  13. The 2014 lever blades are aluminium.
  14. Yes yes yes, these are all the sort of tragic cars I was trying to think of but couldn't - nice one! Mk2 Polo sounds interesting as well... Thanks.
  15. Metros are a good call! My wife had one as her first car... Not any of them about though it seems. Focus - probably too heavy? Edit: Yeah, ~1150kg...
  16. GTI6 is 'too good'. But a Corsa, yes, liking it... Rip the seats out and flog them... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vauxhall-Corsa-1-4-1999CDX-FULL-LEATHER-INTERIOR-/121252964277?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item1c3b3d67b5
  17. Haha, that's comedy. I wouldn't want anything like that though, too highly strung. This, however... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2000-X-Reg-Citroen-Saxo-1-1i-First-3-Door-Petrol-Spares-or-Repairs-Car-/121255357937?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item1c3b61edf1
  18. Nice. That would go for a couple of hundred on eBay if he can be bothered. There's a good market for spare bits and people buy them to break (split into parts, Alex ) ...
  19. Haha, yeah, I can see how my thought process sounds illogical, definitely. The thing is, when you do have a car with higher limits it's frustrating. You never get a clean lap, you're worried about breaking it and ending up with a big bill, and if you do bin it you're going way faster. Nothing wrong with a bit of healthy discussion - everyone's different! Polo... not a bad should dude. Forgot they'd be 4x100 as well, nice one. What about a Lupo or Arosa? Similar sort of thing I guess?
  20. Fair shout! I'll try and explain... For me, driving any car at its limits is fun - whether that's at 20 or 120mph. As long as the handling balance is there (or it's oversteer biased), any car will achieve said goal. Terminal understeer is a big no-no, it's seriously frustrating, but some additional bracing at the back end via Mr Welder would sort that. Plus it'll give me something to do :$ If it's something crap and weird and unexpected you'd get a lot of people chatting to you about the car, which is half the fun of track days, plus if you ever overtook anything you'd wee yourself with excitement, haha.
  21. Haha. Took me a long time to work out what you meant there Alex :$ I'll get my thinking cap on That's right Danny... it is strange, yeah. Although my dad was always into cars in a big way, I remember chains and engines hanging from the roof of our garage when I was really little. Interestingly I'm contemplating buying a 'Tragic Track Car' of which a 1.1 106, just like my old one, would be on the list. Missed one recently really local - MOT failure (emissions), all new tyres, £150! I think the requirements would be: a 'shit' car but with a decent chassis (eg. it's the bottom of the range model but there is a 'sporty' one at the top), under a ton, under 100bhp, cheap consumables, no turbo, manual, a diesel would be a bonus, RWD would be amazing but I don't think it's possible (I'd class an old BMW as 'too good'), 4x100 wheel fitment would be ace too as I already have some wheels / tyres to go on... Probably looking at MOT failures or write-offs too. Any ideas people?! So far I've got the 106, Saxo, Nissan Micra (used a lot in autotesting), but not a lot else.
  22. Feeling chuffin chuffed! Having never built an engine before, I decided to have go at creating a bottom end for this year's race car from one broken, one scrapyard and one £62 eBay engine... Spent bloody ages measuring, cleaning and checking everything. Just finished putting it back in - started first time, bob on oil pressure and a nice stable idle. Such a good feeling
