  1. That's what she said. This is the only one we can use: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mazda-Miata-MX-5-OEM-1990-1997-NA-Front-Bottom-Lip-Air-Dam-Spoiler-R-Package-USA-/181254774020?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a33a05d04&vxp=mtr No home jobs allowed
  2. It's only a little baby one: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=435903369887981&set=t.512661146&type=1&theater
  3. No worries, thought you'd find it interesting! Yeah, yours is kinda like #4 I guess, which isn't much different to 6 anyway... certainly a huge improvement over nothing We are allowed a small splitter but not many use them and nobody seems to have done any testing / maths behind it. I fitted one for the last round and found a pretty amazing difference... The photo below shows speed traces from a track day with the car having exactly the same setup, and the qualifying session after having fitted the splitter and undertray. The blue and yellow lines are the track day, the pink and red are the quali session (picked a quali session as there was no slipstreaming to throw off the readings): The numbers at the top of the vertical line are the speeds in mph, so above ~85mph it really makes a difference! The time saved is nearly 0.3s just on the main back straight at Anglesey, and more importantly the extra speed gained gives a much better chance of sticking in the slipstream of - and passing - the cars with, er, slightly more power than is allowed. Pretty chuffed with that!
  4. Yes, need correct torque and threadlock - and alloy bolts aren't a good idea for rotors.
  5. Ah, cheers Nick, glad you enjoyed it! Something that is sort of relevant to your post... I was checking out aero stuff for the Mazda and found this link: http://hanchagroup.wordpress.com/2013/01/29/splitter-or-air-dam-which-design-is-best/ Seems your barge board and splitter combo is going to be pretty effective
  6. The issue was loose rotor bolts in that case - should have mentioned it in the first post!
  7. Sounds like pads moving in caliper as you said.
  8. My weekend... It's a pretty long video, but the best bits are at Rocket on the first lap of race 1 at 0:50, a very slippery encounter with Matt from 3:58 onwards, race 2 start at 10:13, Rob grass-tracking at 14:34, race 3 start at 17:09, overtaking at 18:37, 19:18 and 20:00, and then a 10 minute position-swapping tussle with Amy from 20:50 til the end of the video, which includes overtakes at 23:23, 25:57, 26:33, 27:34 and 29:10.
  9. Basically the Cuerden Valley Park show is coming around again and Joe's asked me to check if there's any interest in having a trials setup again? It takes a lot of work to set the stuff up (a couple of days) and only a few people turned up last year. We appreciate it is very weather dependent, but who's up for coming? Cheers, Adam
  10. BB shell on frame been faced?
  11. First result on Google images... http://www.bugatti.com/pages/72/bildspalte/acceleration01.jpg Is this primary school or a degree?
  12. No really, they didn't If you're trying to use barbed fittings with hose made for disc brakes, it won't work (safely). If you are buying all the relevant fittings to attach said hose to the brake properly then it will work, but be expensive and the brake will feel sluggish. If you desperately want coloured hoses, Google heatshrink.
  13. You're using too much torque.
  14. I see. Yeah you just need torque and rpm.

He's been hailed as 'da best evaarrzz!' but in reality it's just that he's had the best equipment. Obviously Ricciardo is no slouch, but the way he's whupped Vettel's ass so far this year is pretty telling I think...

Couldn't agree more. It's interesting what Alonso said about Vettel last year. It was only what all the other drivers were thinking but he had the balls to say it! http://www.espn.co.uk/ferrari/motorsport/story/140447.html
  17. I'd like to ride one of these 27.5 / 650b / 29er bikes to see what the fuss is about. I can understand the claimed advantages but I really like to be able to 'ride' / wrestle my bike rather than just plough over stuff, surely the extra gyroscopic effect makes them feel a bit cumbersome?
  18. Gutted he's gone, it was funny watching Man U be crap
  19. I'm slightly confused But - the back roads around Barrow Farm are pretty tight, not really HGV suitable but if your driver thinks it's do-able then you could get dropped off I reckon (would be nowhere at the venue or park or turn around though).
