    Mind the gap

That's correct, ISIS specifies 3-5mm preload with new cranks.
  2. Nope, still makes no sense
  3. Have used courierpoint.com before with good results, too. That box sounds big, get it as small as possible - prices should be around £80-90 tops.
  4. Some sweet driving there, the G trace at 0:43 was lovely. Satisfying isn't it? In related news... Had to do this to reveal the engine on the old car: Now it looks like this, complete with piles of shit from the donor... And the new one is coming along fairly well, but it's about to get to all the bitty slow jobs
  5. To add a bit of extra important detail - it got full of water, so got rusty and some of the pawls stuck down. We didn't have the time to repair it so replaced it instead. Nothing 'broke' it was just a lack of maintenance (which is obviously difficult when you are in a field!).
  6. Check these guys out: https://www.facebook.com/SprintAndTrackday?fref=ts I'm struggling for time but apparently it's always a good day out.
  7. The spring in that hub was stretched to buggery, we recommended a new one but he said no. Customer is always right... On topic, don't discount a Hope because of the system it uses, it is the same as the SL freewheel after all!
  8. The weights on our site are measured by us.
  9. No probs. Got a donor cheers, has to be a Mk1 for our regs... If he has the time / space / inclination, get that stripped for spares and he'll end up with the engine and box for nothing.
  10. Don't drive like a tit when there's standing water and you'll be fine. Personally would go with something witha bit less grip of they were available but if you need black round things to keep your rims off the floor you could do a lot worse!
  11. Good lad If you need a hand casting an eye over any adverts, post the links up
  12. Already fits straight onto Crewkerz.
  13. I think it's worth pointing out that the Hashtagg system is nothing like the Crewkerz, they don't share a single part...
  14. Ah cool - yeah I was considering giving Sheardy a shout when I need some spares!
  15. Need to get something sorted asap, still in with a shot of the championship... Should be picking up a shell on Saturday!
  16. Didn't have the camera on, which is almost more gutting than the crash, haha.
  17. Just corrosion, everything else is reliable and a cheap fix. On that note, wrote my race car off on Saturday, bugger.
  18. Cereal box works too ;-) all the water gaskets on my race engine were made out of it for the entirety of last season.
  19. Haha. I'd rather stick with hairdressing to be honest! (MX-5 racing)
  20. Ah, most of my Facebook messages (I get loads, mostly about bike shit outside of work hours) go into some weird folder that I never check (see previous set of brackets), I'll have a look now...
  21. Or racing full of twats I considered one of the French hatch series, but the driving standards are terrible and the amount of money they throw at the cars is insane.
  22. 4wd system is very heavy and saps engine power. Light, RWD and cheap consumables = ideal track car.
