  1. I didn't, sorry. Have a gander on CS I'm getting bored of photos of your car btw
  2. As Paul said. Plus, the alternator isn't designed to charge a battery, it's only designed to keep it topped up. So remove it and bang it on a slow charge overnight...
  3. Open the bleed nipple fully and let gravity do it's thing for a few minutes first.
  4. Hope you're enjoying the bike! For spares, we can get small stuff to you in 2-3 days for not much more than about £10, if that helps...
  5. I did some driving too...
  6. Word. Raleigh (figures) list their fax number BEFORE the phone number on their invoices. The number of times I've tried to call them and got a fax tone... grr... I appreciate that is mostly me being a spastic, but it's pretty stupid.
  7. When was the oil last changed? I am guessing at the service but you never know! If so, any ideas what oil they put in exactly? Which engine is it? Edit: This could go on and on I guess, but basically stuff like that is snake oil. My guess from what you just said is they've put the wrong grade oil in so the top end is now all tappy / clattery. Should be a 5w30 fully synthetic ideally, VW507.00 spec.
  8. Cool - if you're confident your driving has kept everything running well, then it definitely doesn't need a Terra Clean...
  9. Sounds like a load of bollocks to me. Just get the car fully up to temperature then give it a good ragging (high rpm and high throttle openings) for about 10-15 minutes, that's the best way to clean off cruddy deposits from the whole system.
  10. Perfectly normal, shim the caliper away from the frame.
  11. Should go on, but you'll need to spend time filing, modifying and bodging! It will also be a 180 rotor with that caliper, rather than the regular 160.
  12. ^^ This. And make sure the bolts go right through the bearing next time, to support it - will never break again.
  13. All of them are decent.
  14. A stealership service is just a glorified fluid change, they won't have gone near the PAS. That said, I often used to have 'problems' develop on my car after it being in for a service or MOT, which doesn't happen now I do all my own servicing...
  15. If not, then I'm sorry if you have to live with that sort of hassle for the rest of your life
  16. Footage from a chilled evening ride in Blackpool a month or so back, featuring Stan, Cap, Matt Arkwright and Ben Slinger. Oh and some weird kids at the start...
