  1. Ok, the ride looks huge now, I'm coming with 2 other people, on my Koxx Devil rather than Python 'cos the chain is a bit haggard now... There's also a group of other unicyle trials riders riding in London and they're probably gonna bump into us at some point, would be cool though. And no I won't get left behind just because i'm going to be using a unicycle that day . get your camera's out for the unicycle st.pauls gap tomorrow See you there.
  2. I'm coming, with a couple of local people. The St. Pauls smaller gap will be done again on a uni this sunday.. See you there, even if its damp and cold.
  3. Hopefully can make it, depends on if school decides to put some gay event on that day suddenly. Will see if I can bring Joe Hodges with me.
  4. I'm about your height too, I like the feel of both Pythons, but it depends on what sorta riding you like... CLS one is by far superior for static gaps, and Yao Zhi one is just a tad flickier. CLS one also helps on natural more...
  5. I really liked that video, after watching that, I think I need to bring that mad unicyclist to more London rides!

Err, the reason the CLS Python is 1060, is because the 1045 wheelbase is measured from the inner most bit the axle can go into the dropout, err JT had a diagram thingy of Monty's measurement system. So in reality the 1045 and 1005 of the Zoo! Pythons are merely ways to get a definite wheelbase measurement, and CLS ones should float atound 1060 and Yao Zhis tend to float around 1010-1020ish. Mind you my chainstays of my Yaozhi are measured at exactly 370mm, when the factory geo is 362mm, if you measure your CLS' you might find the chainstays to be around 385 something! I'll need JT's Monty diagram to explain better.
  7. You can get clothing from Cleanbikes primarily, or I suppose Tartybikes could order in clothing for you. Hope this helped
  8. Toptube is in theory a bad place to get a dent, its supposed to be worse than the downtube as it holds alot of the frame together, the dent causes the tube to 'stretch' or flex sorta but on a TINY TINY scale... it's not gonna affect much at all in practice, so alls good really.. And to whoever said Echo Team frames aren't strong, they're quite wrong, none of the 04 Teams (properly the Team 05 Version 1) have broken I don't think... and the new 05v2/06 are supposed to be tough too... If its quite a bit cheaper than a brand new Team, and is fairly young, I say go for it
  9. I am coming to this ride for sure . Now should I come on the uni or Poothon?
  10. Hastings is pretty nice for rocks too, not too far away from Surrey either, Joe.
  11. Oh you lucky bugger, well, I didn't ask for much this Christmas, but bike related-wise, all I got was some Zoo Easy forks which was kinda my own Christmas present for myself .
  12. I doubt that tread pattern matters that much for grip. As Joe said, there is quite a bit of choice around, not nearly as much as stock, but still a good variety. Monty for one, is supposed to be the most pinch resistant mod tyre out there? I think so too seeing how my unicycle friend keeps dropping off big walls with a Monty tyre.... I don't think any mod tyres are terrible except maybe Luna and Sticky Fingers, but the rest are good.
  13. Weather looks good, might come down, depends if I can get money soon enough from my old forks!
  14. It's a nice little trick to do, but to be honest, all it is is unneccessary damage to your forks/headtube. Just looking at the How To Front Hop vid on www.slctrials.com, the forks seem to flex like mad! Not too good for a set of forks like the Echo Easy for example . Even though I'm getting those forks
  15. I don't do it myself, but I've really wanted to do it since I learnt they existed! Is it easier to improve and do natural sections and stuff on moto trials bikes than push bikes and what kind of moves do moto trials bikes do to get up stuff like taps and hooks? I must see a video of moto trials one day to see what its really like.
  16. Best option I reckon is Viz 20" curved forks, they are really really stiff and are available with 4 bolt mounts, £90 for them. Andy Chai and Danny Burton both use them, so best to PM them or something. Did you not read anythign above, Echo CNC forks DO NOT come with 4 bolt mounts. I doubt they're that strong anyway, cromo steerer is the way forward I think. Just get Onza Fall Guys or Viz if you want strength with 4 bolt mounts.
  17. Deng's especially biased lol, you don't see Onza going 'These frames are the best, amazing CNC'd parts and other competitors frames aren't as strong'.... Deng won't be honest about a lot of stuff on his site, whereas when I talk to Supercycles on the phone, they are more honest about frames and parts.
