The limits are endless, Boumsong... in a few months we'll probably see a company try doing bolt-together frames that come in several pieces.. Kinda like Lego-ing your own bike frames... how fun.
-
Going back to frames themselves, seeing as Phil has told us that there's a Czar mod coming... Can we at all assume whether Deng's going to be bringing out even more frames? Possibly redesigned Zoo! Boa, Lynx, Piranha, or Echo Urban frames?
-
I have serious doubts that most people could be f**ked to do that with their hubs Anyone care to estimate the amount of emails sent to Deng already?
-
Damn, you merged the topics together just at the same time I was about to post my post , retype it... For the fixed rear hubs and possibly future crankarms, you won't be able to use screw-on freewheels such as ACS, ENO, Try-All, Tensile, etc.. Also, I bet anything that the lockring+splines will be mangled by people. (more like, Profile Racing's lockring ) Let's hope that Deng has learnt his lesson, and has started to make threads that don't strip like 123.

http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....id=1011767& head over to the main discussion
-
It's highly likely that he wants to try something new, and perhaps start a 'revolution'... what with his splines/lockring system for his hubs already I have fears he'll do this to cranks someday...

Might as well have changed the topic title to suit the current discussion... I have doubts that snail cams can actually hold a 26" wheel firmly in place. I have seen and heard of 26" wheels to sometimes shift around in horizontal dropouts because the larger rim gives more leverage for the wheel to move about. Maybe one solution is to use a monstrously strong chain tug and cut out chunks of it to fit the CNC dropouts. Though I ride mod, I don't think its too great an idea, maybe Deng should make 2 options available: vertical or horizontal dropout... (courtesy of adrian jordan). Or we just all email Deng to stay with vertical. Or... maybe whoever knows the Zoo and Adamant team riders can ask them if it was their idea to have horizontal dropouts for stock?

Am I assuming this is the final production model? If so, how about you include a 'KB' metal badge on the headtube, like the GU and Echo frames have? Looks awesome btw, just like Adrian's but nicer

... says the person who had an ENO, and got a Profile himself . Nah, its just that I can't seem to find anywhere that stocks Eno spares. Plus I really want to move away from front freewheel as my chains seem to wear surprisingly fast in comparison to when I used to run rear freewheel. Plus I want to use a Kris Holm rim, so might as well get a new hub. (about time I used what I suggested to the forum) But, thanks for the help so far. I think I'll try and find a 118mm somewhere in China. Last thing: JT, are you going back to ENO if your problems with the BB/chain line remain?
-
Right, so is this mine or Tic's Lite we're talking about ? Just recevied the Lite in the post yesterday and I can see my sexy relfection . Nah, its goood, bashplate's a bit titchy and odd shaped compared to the normal style bashplates. Have a play if you want Mark, so long as you actually still ride trials Your bike looks cool, those cranks remind me of those terrible ones that Profile Racing made for trials riding. (but yours are better )

118mm! Thats close enough 10mm shorter than my BB . Is it worth me getting a shorter BB? Like 118 or 122?

lmao Mark

Hmm, it appears that Craig used to sidehop to his forward foot once upon a time, as well. Am I the only person on the forum having serious problems switching sidehop sides ? Thanks for the vids so far, Staind was pretty decent, a rather large kicker-up there! Someone must have Tango, i've heard someone like Biff to mention it several times I think

Odd. I can't think of much else to do for the chainline, as everyone else has suggested most of my thoughts. I think that it might be possible to space out the cog further if you still want to try that, it's worth giving Profile Europe a call as they are highly likely to have the little bits to adjust your cog spacing. However, for the snail cams, have you tried using a plier or anything that grips to the snail cam 'neck'? This can give the extra leverage needed maybe, as I've tried it once when I had some Echo notched snail cams. You'll probably not like my idea, but is it not worth just getting smooth cams? Because adjusting my tension has never been easier with my smooth snails, as it takes a shit load of effort to budge a stubborn notched cam.

Zordon, the Zhi bars are very similar to the Zoo bars in terms of shape. The differences I have noticed so far, are of course the outer finish, and the fact that the Zhi bars have thicker walls than the Zoo bars. The length of the Zhi bars are 740mm like the Zoo bars. But I really don't know about weight or material. My guesses are that its a bit heavier than the Zoo bar, but possibly stiffer due to thicker tubing? I guess its made of 7075 as I don't really know of any 6061 bars myself, apart from the Raceface Diabolus.

Woo, thanks for making a vid of us, Julien! Except certain websites don't work for me on my brother's laptop www.trashzen.com and www.wikipedia.org for example So I can't watch it until a friend uploads it onto eengoedidee or something . Will edit once watched EDIT: short, but nice , some of Joe's stuff is pretty wild. That pedal-stall up of mine is rather small I should've done more demos of sidehops to tyre on that wall. Still, I'm full-bore shit. Joe'll be happy to see this once he's back from his comp.

I did read something on supercycles' ebay and stuff that some T-Pros had an 'oversized' bottom bracket shell thread and came with a special oversize taper BB. Are these the 'faulty' ones?
-
Cool bike as always, I still can't believe that the KH rim offers a better brake with Zoo pads than Plaz+grind Looks really cool though, now I wish I had that stem for the Lite .
-
JT posts are awesome Well, let's be honest, who doesn't like showing off a little . Meh, all's good anyway, still saved a lot of money.
-
I was a little bit silly not to make it clear from the start that random people were'nt getting anything. I went on about the prices mainly because loads of people couldn't stop asking me on MSN. .

Joe hodges was using the one of the first in the UK, they are now available from Unicycle.com I believe, even though it may not be on their site yet. I had a look at it myself, and I personally thought it was no larger than a rear Creepy Crawler. To be honest, I think the older Monty '2.5s' like the white wall and yellow wall are fatter than this new Eagleclaw. It's got a grippier compound than the older Monty tyres, so that's surely a good thing! It's high in Joe's standards, and that's something as he's incredibly fussy about tyres and their properties .
