  1. Araya? I believe they are the same people who make the demi-god of BMX rims: the Himiko.
  2. Random bits of colour on a mostly silver/black bike is THE way to go. Take note, coloured-crank-and-everything riders out there. Incidentally, when I picked up the Python from your place Olly, I actually found your Tartybikes receipt for the Team frame and other bits and bobs you bought with it. Meh, random fact at least. Yeah, that stem is a bunnyhop-maker. I couldn't for the life of me bunnyhop a short Python '05 with a Team stem yet I could do with ease on a CLS Python with a T-master stem. Nice one Olly.

    Bmx Questions

Holdfast coming to me in a week or so! But I need to make a decision on cranks... I can get several different ones trade price. So how about these: ^That with a Mutiny Mid Kit would be sweet, it seems. I certainly do not want to go near Profile/Madera, knowing the notorious 'wobble' they have after a little time. (Yep, had this on my unicycle, darn annoying). Other than the Torrids, real options are: WTP Royals, Primo Power/Hollows. mmmm.... Bar-wise, I'm looking at several: the new Mutiny Captain bars (check Mutinybikes.com) Colony Guettler Unlucky 13 bars Odyssey Milk or even 4 piece bars of some sort?

    cheers, any more suggestions guys?
  5. One of my bitches from China. Sweeet. Suiting you well Luke? It looks greeaaat! I miss the thing .
  6. *new* Mutiny stuff: The Burlish-Hold Fast: The chainstay reinforcement is rather interesting, frame doesn't look quite as I expected (Dark blue with more colourful graphics), but still awesome all in all! And other Mutiny stuff, new colours for Sinister and Burlish frames, and the what-seems-to-be final edition of the Nocturnal frame. Nice one.

Yeah I understand. It would seem rather narrow if I just did pedal grinds 24/7. But, it's just the only type of grinding I'd consider trying first on a rear pegless bike, and then expand my horizons later on, so to speak. 1-trick pony-ism is not my goal for BMX. I'd personally rather get some other street things done like large kicker hops, barspins, crankflips, spins, fakies etc.. and so on. Grinds are just a small part of it for now, but are so satisfying when you get it picture perfect . It's just that forward pedal grinding seems much harder to keep the bike balanced in position and upright. But I guess grinding on the crankarm solves this, but I much prefer pedal grinding to the backfoot (rather unicycle-esque).

    Bmx Questions

Righto guys, I've got a plan for myself, in terms of riding (brakeless and pegless). I won't be using rear pegs, and I won't use a rear brake due to my frame's properties (and I don't regret it). Thus I will have to do pedal grinds, meaning that I'll grind on my right pedal 'cos I'm left foot forward. This'll be done completely brakeless, but also more importantly here's what I was thinking: get LHD get one peg on the right dropout of my fork put a 'bashguard' onto the right crank. possibly slap on a hubguard onto my non-drive side of my rear hub (in my case it's the right) Of course LHD is so that I don't mash up my drivetrain during backpedal grinding. The single peg on my fork is an extra piece for me to grind on simultaneously with my backpedal so together they stabilise the bike well during grinding. Since I'm going LHD, my right crank'll have a mounting hole free, so I was thinking of getting a friend to customise a bashguard type thing which is ideally a sprocket but smooth so that when I do backpedal grinding I don't risk scraping the hell out of my frame's bottom bracket shell or downtube/chainstays in general since the bashguard'll block a messed up pedalgrind from letting the frame get onto the grindledge. Seems like a PLAN to me, but what's your take on this guys? The bashguard on right crank idea is just so I don't risk sliding my frame onto obstacles whilst grinding on the backpedal, I'm thinking a 23t sprocket sort-of diameter for the bashguard.
