Charge spoon has been a splendid option for me, cheap and comfy! Always used to feel sore after a ride and now I don't, can't grumble

Before I go and hand over money to some person on eBay, does anybody have a Ford fuel rail with injectors from a 1.8/2L engine that is made of steel? Need one to modify to fit the Porsche for the first stage on getting the EFI conversion happening
-
The 924 just got that much more useful... now to find my bike racks!
-
Because the Porsche is so much more fun to drive vs the mundanity of the Audi. You need to remember the A3 is just a 1.8T S line, not an S3 and therefore lacks the much of fun element. It's not significantly better on fuel that the Porsche and was only bought to keep the girlfriend happy as it's red and has pretty lights The Audi is fine if you want a quiet cruise with minimal effort (which it does well), the Porsche is fine if you want to actually have any involvement in the driving experience and have a big smile...I choose the latter!
-
I tend to do more motorway stuff in the Porsche, the Audi is just the shopping/runabout car and only really does the odd longer journey. Maybe I should get the G5 for the Audi then, it gets used feck all anyway! On a side note, I have roof bars for the Porsche, the surprisingly practical just got even more useful

Audi A3 (2010) and Porsche 924. The 924 has a mahoooosive rear screen but i mainly just want to do the windscreens with the G1, the rest can be done with the seemingly endless amounts of Rain x I seem to have it seemed pretty good on the windscreens last year just didn't last that long and you lot raved about G1 being awesome so hopefully that'll help make up for my shit wipers on the 924

Wicked, cheers chaps. Is 15ml enough for 2 cars?
-
Whats that water repellent stuff that you guys were bumming last year? Supposed to be better than rain x?
-
Drunkenly bought an on-one 456 carbon bike. Did I do a booboo?

You would struggle to beat that spec for the price assuming it all is as good as it looks, I'd go for it -
Get the M3 then? Use the left over change to cover the fuel cost difference and smile

How much are repair panels vs new wings? Avoid pattern wings unless you know they are from a good source and fit currently, the last thing you want to do is spend extra and find out it you need to spend even more getting them to fit correctly! Got my arb mounts welded on this morning, arb is all fitted up and e car is ready to test. Unfortunately it's been raining and therefore I'm scared to see what difference it makes yet
-
£300-400 assuming the rot doesn't go any further, you want a fairly decent job and you literally just want the welding done and nothing else. Half that if you don't mind covering up/building up areas with lots of filler after... Oh and that excludes the parts too, just cutting out, shaping to fit and welding in

Pleasure. My fuel gauge likes to fool me into thinking I have loads left then suddenly drops, sometimes it 'fills' itself round corners just to tease me. I would be sorting that awful wiring out if I were you, it's asking for smoke. I started getting parts ready tonight for the rear ARB fitting tomorrow, hopefully shouldn't take long and will make a decent difference to handling even though it's just a 14mm thing... Better than nothing I guess! Got to weld on mounts to the rear beam, I'm just hoping the welder I'm borrowing is going to allow me to do some beefy welds.
-
Who cares, it's free fuel innit?
-
That is what I had figured, I don't want to risk that! What would you recommend? It needs to withstand a minimum of 3bar apparently for my build
-
Mike, those under seat subs are ok, I'd suggest trying one in halfords if they still stock them? Expensive for what they are! Have you thought about simply amping some decent speakers? Unfortunately after lots of umming and arrrring over the 1.8t conversion I have decided against it for the time being due to my house taking up lots of my time currently (nearly there now) and it is going to cost far more than originally anticipated making it less realistic financially. It will most likely happen, just not yet as I want a useable car. Not a half finished thing on the drive and no money left. I do however want to ditch my k jet mechanical injection and go EFI and possibly coil packs too. This would mean that I will have many of the required components for the engine swap and plenty of experience with it all anyway, so I'll be a good chunk of the way there! I'm going to get a megasquirt system (undecided which, simply needs to be suitable for a turbo setup later) and start building up the system off the car and install it when I have the use of my girlfriends mums BMW for 6 weeks in January. This will mean I don't have to rush it and I can do a good job of the install. Questions: Which megasquirt do I need? I'm getting a bit confused by what I really require Are the cheap ebay FPRs any good? I have seen them for between £20-50 but don't want to end up driving a ball of flames... Equally I'm trying to keep cost down!

Aren't all your cars exhausts wonky? It's how we know it's yours, kind of a signature thing

My 2010 MBP has been really unreliable and slow, so I was forced back to a 8 year old pc laptop which has been faultless. When it worked it was fantastic, such a pleasure to use. My girlfriends 2013 MBP on the other hand has been great, really fast and rarely ever comes up with the rainbow wheel of doom, restored some faith back into me considering another when the pc laptop dies.
-
Woop, good stuff!
-
Massive lols! Don't do that. Either get a 12v power pack (maplins do them) or get an old pc power supply and use that. I have both and they are really handy!
-
Do they have much MOT and tax left?
-
Mine arrived, it has blinded several kids at school so I'm guessing it passes the test. Looking forward to trying it out tomorrow evening
-
I've ordered one as well, means I can have one on the bars and one on my helmet I need to do some proper night rides!
-
Exhaust looks good Pete, nice work!
-
Then that makes you a total dick, especially since going by your road driving descriptions you aren't exactly a sedate leisurely driver.... Car passed MOT first time, OS rear brake is on the weaker side but still a pass so I'll get that rebuilt pronto as I have all the parts ready for it. I can now get fitting the rear ARB, making brackets to stiffen the front ARB mounts (they flex) and searching for upgrades
