Weird, Adrian Flux will let me fit new front seats for £13 but won't insure me if I remove my rear ones...

The standard handle rubs against the seat, so I guess I'll just have to make the seat fit as tightly against the centre tunnel as possible and then rework the handbrake mounting points in order to get around the issue, the joys of fitting non standard parts eh?

If a handbrake lever interferes with the drivers seat does that count as an MOT fail? I really want to fit the Impreza seats I bought a while back and the handbrake will rub against the side of the seat in its current position if I do so but will still be able to operate fine. I may be able to offset the lever a bit which would help loads, just means ditching or modifying the door pocket but i'd rather not lose my lovely leather 944 handbrake arm

I use Stans sealant, Joes schraeder valves and Superstar rim tape. I lose about 2-3PSI a week out back but I think thats my valve causing me the issue as i can see white shizzle sometimes from it, I'll give it a reseal at some point!

There will be a spare double at mine and a sofa, so if any of you need a place to stay (Nottingham) then feel free. Gotta be out my door by 7am though as that's when I leave for work

They just need riding, my rear one was a bit like that but has got better and better. My front has been absolutely perfect since the start though!

Narrow wide is on the cards, just can't afford it this month after buying the forks and other bike bits needed to get it all working. My current setup of the Blackspire lower roller, 3D printed top guide and a bashguard work well though! I want to keep some form of bashguard as I occasionally mess up going over rocks maybe I can make up a half ring

Sounds much the same as my Porsche although that has had the age element to take into account too! I need to have the dash out and redo the wiring, unfortunately I am guilty of slapping in some untidy wiring due to poor access so I want to resolve that!

Ok so after that post I found some Pikes locally... £80 they are white but I can spray them to make them look pretty again. Took them apart and they are really clean inside with no noticeable wear! Fresh oil and then boshed on the bike, I will put my motion control damper on at some point as these are the more basic OEM fork (alloy steerer instead of my previous steel though) but good enough for what I want.

That's how it got for me, proper trail riding is sooooo good, I am absolutely loving it. My bike is now back together, phone photo doesn't do it much justice though! Really chuffed with how much better it looks, fresh bearings have made the suspension out back feel so much more plush, it explains the initial stickyness of the back end when first riding. Hopefully looking at some replacement Pikes tonight, same model just not worn out and wobbly like mine, currently white so I will spray them to match the front of my bike

I have the same setup as Dave (including the Suntour lock off). It has been great so far, a fair bit of play but that seems to be normal with many droppers. It's smooth and not excessively fast at springing up so you don't completely destroy your testicles. It looks gash but for the price I really don't mind

We should get something organised. My Giant has had a mini make over, just needs lacquer and fresh graphics made up for it once it's all hardened. Collecting the new bearings shortly The rear suspension had become noticeably sticky, I thought it was the shock but I doubt anything could have been plush on those bearings...

I'd be up for going, never been before. I'm currently rebuilding my bike, it's having a full strip down, fresh coat of paint on the frame, new bearings all round and the brakes bled (rear lever popped the other day so that's being replaced). Hopefully it'll ride a bit better as many frame bearings were seized!

Yeah those little leak of pipes are very common, make sure you get some tubing that is fuel resistant! Sounds obvious but I've seen some totally unsuitable hose fitted

I do all of Cannock with the same set up as Ed, it's bob on I will go to 10 speed once my stuff wears out though, just because i'm cool like that
