fair enough but thats just you....other people do get problems as some have wank wheelbuilds (N) and yeah my wheels (mod or stock) never buckle either as i can build them nicely now:) so i wouldnt get a problem just like you all im saying is when i ran maguras i had to run the pads damn close to the rim, to advoid using the tpa as much, any further away and it wudnt fully lock then that stops you riding......id rather have a brake that i could use if my wheel was to buckle ok small glitch to some maybe, it doesnt affect me at all as i dont like maguras and would never run 1 if i could help it, but it was purely a suggestion that i was making-either way, maguras need more power but that would result in the need for better boosters? cos there would be more force on the frame? well thats what sems to happen with rb levers, they create much more power and you can see the boosters being flexed which measn they lose power....which takes you back to the beggining again where we are now-you get me?

ooo yes, elisha cuthbert (N) i quite liked the crow, and get a film called BASKETball, its by the guys who made southpark and team america, they also did a sequel called orgasmo-worth a try
  3. stu where have you been? i never see you on rides now..... we should organise a big ride sometime soon, get a shizzle loads of peeps to come down-theres about 10 new riders just popped up so we can get them along too oooo and the mighty fadom has just started trials again... all my fault

but what about when/if your wheel buckles, and you dont have a spoke key handy, ull be buggered-less movement means the pads will have to be closer to the rim, so the rims will have to be perfectly true.....at a guess a fair few riders run buckled wheels(well judging by the ones ive seen on big rides ha ha) so this will surely be a problem but yeah maguras need more power i feel, cos their current power is pretty poor for a trials brake....surely a redesign on the lever making it longer like an rb one to create more leverage would be a better solution?
  5. my tensiles were the tits when i had them (were on my bike that got nicked  ) uber stiff and i never had a problem with the lip mangling my ankles/shoes as others do... ok so this is 3 or 4 sets that have broken now? thats nothing-also considering the price, id say thats pretty darn impressive! judging by the shite some of you guys give you bikes...
  6. tried oiling it............a common problem when did you last change you drivechain? how old is it?
  7. righty a v upfront with sum plaz crvs/heatsinks will be killer, with a grind itll be silly good and ull rarely have to clean it if my rear brake is anything to go by..... however the modulation will be, well, non existent.... personally id get a decent disc upfront, hope mini(old), avid bb7 are both feckin ace brakes, im about to try the avid juicy, see how it goes..... i advise a disc purely cos they are damn powerful and the modulation is good, but the trouble is your disc mount dilema, if you have the money do it, otherwise grind+decent pads will keep you very happy anyway-you will get used to it
  8. if its the mtb version yeah, theres a bmx 1 too... you welded your sprockets onto your freehub body  why if you insist on buying a king(i didnt like mine or anyone elses-feel horrid)get the hd axle and the steel freehub body-its worth it
  9. the strange thing is if you pissed on him he would possibly enjoy it........
  10. we have a rather large chainsaw and a big furnace, no remains, nothing happned....
  11. nahhhh all we need is a bin liner and a river :("
  12. its weird, i never had a problem witn my deore or my xt.....the only reason they were replaced was due to whole new wheels-the deore got to the point where the freehub body bearings were wobbling yet it still worked fine :D it was 3 years old and had taken looooads of shit, then again i still havent broken a hope yet :( id still get a hope hub due to better quality overall and when it all goes tits up, the aftersales service is topnotch :(
  13. its a bmx race hub, so it doesnt have to be overly strong........but yeah you are kinda right, all i wanted to know was the actual weight difference.... ah ok i geddit, so does that still mean id have more ep with the eno if i ran it on the rear? (on a stock)
  14. ha ha typical viz design.......wank
  15. so whats jt on about? cos an eno has 72ep and a profile has 48 or something close? so how is running a profile on the rear any different....
  16. dont all rims have spoke holes offset from the centre? ive never seen one with them all dead centre........ :P or did you mean something else?
  17. so if i was to run an eno on the back of my stock id have 144 engagements? as it doubles on the rear? if so sod that thats far too many...... i think a profile is winning me over in terms of pimpness now :P
  18. seconded its a well known fact that gold parts do make you a better rider, altho it hasnt worked for me (Y)
  19. without sounding poncy-what is the weight advantage of an eno and a fixed hub over a profile and a fixed cog? (well welded freehweel for me at first)
  20. i was going to post the exact same question! the difference is i will own both soon....i currently have an eno but am buying a profile hub, either to go on my mod or on another project i dont mind which goes on the project though, i just want the best for the mod....the eno has skipped a bit, but overall its alright-hasnt the profile got less engagements?
  21. cane creek do good headsets in that price range (Y) i have a cheaper ritchey sealed model on my mod and thats damn good, perhaps try onza too, on my curtis i run a gold onza sealed thing i got off ebay for 20quid-tis damn smooth and very overbuilt, yet light (Y)
  22. alot of people i know take the guides off, and they are easy to make anyway...... spring wise, i replaced the shitty surley spring with a old v brake spring out of a cheap v, its stiffer and its better, my chain has come off once, and i wasnt riding my bike.........sorted
  23. looks prettyy much the same as my surly, but with the jockey guides, if you are desperate go for it, i cant imagine it can be any worse than the one ur gettin
  24. its proper chrome as its a steel frame, its not worth the hassle of gettin it blasted, itll cost far too much, i think sticky back plastic will be the only way to add colour  im not overly fussed, ill have a new frame in the not too distant future, and its not like the colour of the bike will affect how well it handles..... cheers for the help lads
  25. ok well ill give it a try tomorrow, no harm in trying i guess
