i believe leeson made forks to fit them, they dont need a booster as they are for sus forks which generally are very stiff anyway, i think they are as adjustable as the other maguras, but have a pivot making the wheel easier to remove basically, just stick to normal maggies if you insist on using one, its far too much hassle to get this type

speacial calliper to git magura forks :P

Modding Magura Evo Mounts For U Brake Mounts...
CurtisRider replied to Hobnobs's topic in Trials Chat
crvs-wooooooot wooooot :) my bmx makes a hella cool sound with them on-its very useful for scaring old ladies spanish flies are inf**kingcredible to :P dont bother with a maggy-you dont need it, with all that bar spin tomfoolery you will rip the hose, they dont have enuff modulation for manuals and they arent necessary, a well set up u brake(oddyssey evolvers are cheap and good) with some decent pads will be hella good, for no money+wont rip apart/look wank :P -
i was refering to the topic starter mate :)

he he cheers matt :P yeah i have a few maggies spare that i wanna shift anywho, i live the other side of halesworth, and i regularly ride ipswich, but i do go down to lowy every so often im not familiar with kirkley, do you ever ride the beach front? the aerial is wicked :) and the rocks are crazy :P im tryin to sort a ride this weekend, prob sunday at ipswich if you interested? add me to msn: mummysboy32@hotmail.com and we can met up, i know a fair few riders too round here, of all skill levels and riding styles, so theres a good mix :P i ride a monty mod, used to ride a curtis stock, a p2 jump bike and a haro bmx-what have you got?
-
just f**king ride dude...... yeah theres loadsa bike tarts, we all want nice bikes-same with all types of riding yeah theres loads of lippy lil shits, but just ignore them just ride and have some fun, its not difficult, feet on pedals, hands on bars and away we go :P i think you are maybe misinterpreting a few peoples comments, possibly cos you are getting a bit heated-as i said before, just ignore it and feckin ride-then we can all be tarts with each other and be lippy about peoples tarted bikes :P its fun ye know :)

oooooooooo ur from lowestoft, im local to there :turned: what do you ride?
-

if they are the straight bladed forks they are the juries-they make jury sls now which are 1200 grams instead of 1600 like the old ones-solid but hefty if they are curved they will probably be identity tuning forks which are like pashleys but fatter and with a disc mount-feckin ace forks :turned:

Disc Brakes, Which Are The Best For Trials?
CurtisRider replied to Fishy's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
avid juicly-either 5 or 7, both kick the bums out of any brake out there for trials the mono trial is good though, just not as good :( if you skint a secondhand hope mini(older silver version) is 1 hell of a brake  -
my reds were pants on a grind (N) plaz crvs all the way for me however the reds were pretty decent on a smooth rim, but still crvs kicked their ass (Y) anyways, im glad to see yet another rider running a v, it totally makes sense, and these adaptors certainly open up options (Y) wel done steve (and janson B) ) brisa: i highly recomend you bin/sell the archrival and get something along the lines of an sd7 or an avid ultimate-basically anything without linkages and parrallel push-itll make one heck of a difference to the power of your brake! even though they are expensive, ultimates are really worth every penny (Y)

24 does sounds like a good option...... its weird, im kind in the same dilema-i had (well still have it but in bits) a well nice curtis all specced up for street, loved it and then fancied gettin a mod for messing around on......so i built one next thing i know all i bloody ride is mod-its the perfect street beast-flicky, light-ish, and i can bunnyhop and manual better (still crap lol) than i could on the curtis........ i also ride bmx occasionally and i have a jumpy street bike for ragging around-both of which again i do streety stuff on now im thinkin of building a 24 as its gotta suit my style in a more universal way-a do it all beast as i hate having to convert from 1 bike to the next as you own a reasonably long mod-zoo copy as you have shown me, perhaps trying a shorter mod frame would benefit you? its worth a try before you go and sell all your mod shizzle and regret it but anyway, yeah if you insist on a new bike, go 24-its new and fresh and sounds like its right up your street (N)

Are They Creepy Crawlers Or Greepy Grawlers?
CurtisRider replied to OnzaNewbie's topic in Trials Chat
nah on the label it definately says greepy.........tis weird, marcs making a fuss about nowt though, cos the tyre definately says creepy! i got it for him from my local shop -
*note to self* dont buy ANYTHING off davetrials :bunny: a rather nice beating that must of got-surely it cant of all been through riding........
-
cant go wrong with the most recent, as thats footage of cls and tunni at thier best...... zoo 28 was quite cool, but im not overly keen on their styles (im more into proper street rater than big power moves-but i im impressed on how huge they can go) so havent really bothered with many of the others
-
i had an inkling thats that you would be doing, any chance you could pm me the price of 1? id give you the money for it if you could get 1 for me and post it, just that is a perfect solution for my project-well apart from using a wank axle and bearings but meh-itll do! cant be that easy to break.......can it?
-
ive seen the 135 screw on cassette things before, they come on cheap full disc bikes, but getting hold of one.......im stuck, obviously ebay is your best bet-but you will prob be waiting for ages any particular reason why it has to be screw on?
-
if its the same as the 1 i got on my t raptor, dont expect much :) they have nice bearings, and look well constructed, and have around 20 ep (at a guess-but thats about it) mine broke after a few months of learning- and i smacked my face-cant say i really pushed the old thing-hell i cant even break a deore......so i got a hope xc and it was mint :S ask supercycles if they will let you have a upgrade for a charge :) itll prob be about 60quid extra at a guess-would be well worth it as then you dont have the hassle breaking it, buyin a new hub and havin it laced :)
-
im sure there was a topic about this a few days ago anyway man, nasty fall it sounds, hopefully heatsink will have his alloy backings for maguras finished soon-be a bit more reliable! or convert to v brakes like all good people should :S as far as i know off, backings breaking is pretty rare, have you checked that theres nothing on you maggy slave that could off caused stress on the plastic?
-
hope xc in gold on an ex721, sprayed black with a grind? add me to msn :S
-
try super cycles, they have a wide rande of hangers? :S
