  1. Hi mate; Nope not one bit! I really like Lincoln. For me it's the people that make the ride. You could have the shittiest town in the world, but if your with your mates the it's 100 times better. My best experiences are riding with my friend Par in the evening in Lincoln. I don't ride big stuff that often. i'm more about flowing tech lines. For me Lincoln is perfect. I'm the type of rider who could spend 3 hours on one pinic bench trying to think of a hundred ways to pull some moves on it! For me it's not about big taps and side hops, as my profile states. Spins, BMX style is my main cliche. Everyone has their own style. I know for other riders Taps and Side Hops are, and thats cool. Not me though. To give you an idea, Dave Lowe and I ( Thinkbikes.com) prefer riding the little towns to big places. That's what we've grown up with, and will end our career with. Darren
  2. Hey Ben; He sounds a really nice bloke! I think I may have to meet him!!! Wait a minute!...................... He he I'm looking forward to it dude! Darren www.thinkbikes.com
  3. Hi mate; I think Lincoln is one of the best places I have ever ridden. True it may lack huge lines, but for tech balance lines, and flowing riding it's brilliant. Brayford Pool can keep me occupied for hours. The Uni's great, as is the college, and the town rules. Darren www.thinkbikes.com

  8. Sometimes dude, the smallest kink or split in the cable can create a pinhole willy, small enough for air to escape. If you think that when you pull the lever, you are squashing the oil into an even tighter space, and the oil will naturally want to escape from this pressure, often through the smallest hole. I advise you best bet is to replace ALL the cabling. That is the cheapest option, and from that point you'll be able to make sure is is the cabling Darren www.thinkbikes.com
  9. HI Guy's; I'm staying up in Nottingham with a mate for a few days tis week, and I've heard the riding in Notts is goooooddddddd. I'll be honest in that I don't really know my way around. Does anyone fancy meeting up for a evening ride, so we can session some places? I know my way to Market Square, but from that I'm lost. Fred Gillet - If you read this in time, it's Ron, and I know your at Nott's Uni, so it'll be good to cu. Darren - www.thinkbikes.com

  13. Well, where to begin........ I believe the key to this is the use of common garden root vegtables, and a selection of water based lubricants - Please not Petroleum Based Lubricants can rot the Johhny - Provided she is taking the baby stopping pills of course. Spode gave me this advice on the finer details of penetration, as believe me he has tried many things! Leave the rest to your imagination! By the way, are you going for easy pink or difficult brown? As this may change the above.................

  23. I read this, and I have to comment on it. Tihs is in no way meaning to be derogitory, and I know I'm going to get a few sarcy replies, but I have to say this. Having or not caring about who you offend on a ride - (This is true to everyone, not just 1 person - I count myself in this!), is an attitude that is going to change the public opinions of riding - I found it's hard enough getting people interested in how much skill it takes to ride a trials bike, let alone getting new blood to start and continue the sport. Im reflecting back to 2 rides I've had over the last few years. 1 ride was in Bristol. I remeber it because people were getting really stressed about not being able to rear wheel a wall, and bikes were being thrown, and tempers flared. I remember specifically an old man asking if we could not ride on a particluar wall outside a church - Most agreed ,but the one's who were having a pissy fit were intent on an argument, and thats where the trouble always starts. The complete opposite of this is the recent London ride at the end of April. It was pissing down with rain, people weren't making lines, but everyone was enjoying it and no one was getting stressed, I remeber a lot of people asking how wee do what we do, and how it seems like fun. This was simply because of the good atmosphere. Surely, this should be bared in mind? Darren
