Nah He had been gapping days before, but like I said.......the cranks deffo were tight. He always keeps em tight. But it also chewed up his bb and surely one or the other should have been chewed up, not both (Y) becasue if the bbs weaker than the crank taper then that'd be chewed up and vice versa, but nooooo it has to screw up both.... (Y) :D Anyways.......still weird to me. No-one else ever heard of anything outta the usual with echo cranks, because I need to buy some more cranks now. lol, and i dunno whether to get some more echos or some musclemans..... Jack

Riteo My mate was out biking and he was borrowing my echo cranks. Now I've not heard much bad aboutthese cranks but this is pretty shocking. They were square tapered cranks. He was biking along the road, he stopped to gap just ONCE. He gapped and then felt the left crank whirr round without the right going anywhere. On closer inspection it seemed that ONE gap completely rounded off the whole of the perfectly fine taper and also chewed up the bb completely. Keeping in mind these cranks were tight, not loose and the taper was solid. It all just completely rounded off. (Y) :D Anyone else seen this before????? (Y) Doesn't really seem possible to me (Y) Scary stuff........... Jack
