Gotta rep the classics on a nice sunny day

Bump for some visual goodness and an interview I did with Sean Freeman who's an illustrator/designer, a lot of his work is done by actually creating type in real life which is pretty cool. Click the picture below to check it.

Perhaps Trials Forum isn't actually that high on everyone's list of 'places to go to celebrate'

Mix up your shots between tripod and freehand, but make sure you've got a steady base to hold the camera (either just a good support with your arms or rest your elbow on a wall etc) Look into photography compositional stuff, rule of thirds etc. Think carefully about framing of the actual rider with the surroundings, when you get to a spot think 'what makes this spot different to film then others' and try and make use of whatever you come up with. Use the odd pull focus technique/panning to the rider, but bare in mind that if you do that too much it gets boring as f**k and you just look like you belong on a fixie instead of a trials bike. Step back occasionally. Especially if your at a spot that looks good with good surroundings, stuff can look good from a far as well as close to the action. Film from different heights. Think about editing while you're actually filming. If you look at films or the best bike videos you realise the switches between shots couldn't have actually been done without forethought in filming (when they pan across to a black wall and then pan out of a different black wall into a new shot for example). Practice all the above, then just forget it and do your own thing.

You either make notes on Trials Forum happenings, or have the memory of an elephant, fair play!

Food on the Greek islands seems pretty good/cheap as well, at least from what I've heard from other people and experienced in Kos. Epic kebab for £1.50/£2 which are a million times more filling, nicer and generally better then English kebabs. Pizza in a restaurant we went to a few nights was £5 and was absolutely incredible, weirdly one of the best pizzas I've ever had. Massive to the point that I never finished it either, provided breakfast/lunch the next day every time. McDonalds was about £15, but that's besides the point

Semi related: I woke up the other day with an aching ball and the memory of a really vivid dream in which some unknown girl was way too rough with her treatment of them, must have twisted it between my legs which spurred the dream She was fit though. Just thought I'd dump that here.

No idea to be honest even after a week there my memory was too hazy to know my way around haha. Pretty sure it was if you're going up the strip, before the big square at the top, on the right. On a corner as well so opens out onto the street on two sides. Best thing about Kos was definately the little gypsy kids peddling their wares though.

Kos was absolutely amazing when we went, but to be fair I've got little to compare it too in terms of scummy club holiday places. Although the bar we always pre-lashed in did 6 shots and two cocktails for £6 euros, and had screens with Pro Evo set up, so needs little comparison.

Resurrection time, I wanna see some art! I've not had much time to draw recently with uni and designing stuff, but filled some sketch book pages up. Random type: Derpy Mc Slug First ever try with water colours (or any paint other then spray paint to be honest.

I think I might crack on as well mate (well, as soon as we actually have internet in our stupid house), could do with some insider info on that kinda stuff.
-
I kinda know what you mean, if people don't reply constantly it's just annoying and I stop bothering. I've got mates who are just so useless at life in general that they actually genuinely can't seem to manage replying and have heads like sieves though rather than out of spite. But at the same time, this conversation is a bit womanly. It's not the kind of thing worth holding a grudge for, just because you wanna spend your time texting, why should everyone else?

Oh and bare in mind you won't get the last installment of your loan, so in the short run will miss out on £1300 or whatever it is (but be up £2600 in the long run). And aren't you in halls? Won't they make you piss off?
-
Well yer I think so, but bare in mind that money comes straight from the fees section of your loan so it's not like you'll see the money or anything. Make sure you speak to the finance department at your uni first though to make sure. Oh and bunkings naughty.

Everyone needs to watch 'A Beautiful Mind', absolutely immense film! "he true story of prominent mathematician John Forbes Nash Jr. is the subject of this biographical drama from director Ron Howard. Russell Crowe stars as the brilliant but arrogant and conceited professor Nash. The prof seems guaranteed a rosy future in the early '50s after he marries beautiful student Alicia (Jennifer Connelly) and makes a remarkable advancement in the foundations of "game theory," which carries him to the brink of international acclaim. Soon after, John is visited by Agent William Parcher (Ed Harris), from the CIA, who wants to recruit him for code-breaking activities. But evidence suggests that Nash's perceptions of reality are cloudy at best; he is struggling to maintain his tenuous hold on sanity, and Alicia suspects a diagnosis of paranoid schizophrenia. Battling decades of illness with the loyal Alicia by his side, Nash is ultimately able to gain some control over his mental state, and eventually goes on to triumphantly win the Nobel Prize. Based loosely on the book of the same name by Sylvia Nasar, A Beautiful Mind (2001) co-stars Paul Bettany, Adam Goldberg, Anthony Rapp, Christopher Plummer, and Judd Hirsch."

Leeds Festival (And Reading If Your A Lil Bit Batty)
Max Quinn replied to Fish-Finger-er's topic in Chit Chat
Too many emotional people and too much shit music's taken over. Thing is, a few years ago indie music was actually good, people like Maximo Park and Good Shoes would be on at 1pm and you'd have a whole day of decent artists. The last time we went, bands like that were playing supporting headline slots and all the new stuff in their place was either all 'new ravey', really emo, or just plain shit. -
See, you kinda started off well, then fanny shit bollocks wank f**k.

Saw you're PM man I'll get involved properly asap I promise. I'm of the belief that mixes are often the best way to listen to d&b though, as there's less of an album culture (only a really established artist will release an album) and I'm not really a fan of just listening to lots of unrelated tracks. Sir Real's mixes are a good place to start for liquid. I'm not really a fan of the Hospital camp either, some amazing tunes but they tend to have a habit of ruining artists a bit by adding a few slices of cheese and generating this formulaic, dance floor liquid that sells cds to non d&b fans and makes lots of money. No disrespect to them as a label they have their niche and place (and there are still some awesome artists there like Logistics, not to mention their off shoot label 'Med School' which releases unbelievably good chilled out minimal tunes), just not my thing. But yer, I'll come with a proper list soon.

They've been proven to brainwash poo poos like JT to believe that they're harmless

I use Sennheiser earphone ones (not actually fully in ear bud things I hate them). Mine were about £20 and are decent enough sound wise, but just whichever ones you can afford on your budget.

He goes relentlessly for six minutes haha, fair play! I think he needs to learn to breathe properly though, the end of bars trail off and you can hear him holding it in. Also sort out more of a flow within bars and think about metaphors rather than just looking for perfect rhymes, some of them are a bit predictable, brick, thick, willy etc. That's just from listening, rather than pro rapper or anything by the way. Edit: Good good word censor thingie. Willy as in prick

Pfffttt I'm not normally out of bed at that time, let alone done an early morning photoshoot then spent a few hours in a lecture/crit haha.
