Hollowbites are said to be great cranks! I had powerbites for a while and they did serve me well and hollowbites are supposed to be alot better so you can't really go wrong! Having said that though i do love my profiles an they can be bought for around £130 now if you can stretch. They are generally considered the don. They also have a 'Limited lifetime warranty' but i'm not sure quite what that means. Winstanleys says the bottom bracket on your bike is a 'Mid BB w/19mm Hollow Axle' so make sure you buy for that whatever cranks you get! BMX cranks tend to come with a bottom bracket though so as long as you get a crankset (with a bb) the axle size doesn't matter as long as you make sure it's mid bb but i'm not quite sure if Mid BB's ever come with cranksets or not? I'm sure someone else will help us out on that one. I have a freecoaster and i actually love it! I use the Geisha Street which is generally considered the best for street with the Odyssey Reloader in at second. The Geisha costs £90. Alot of people say they go to pot etc but mine has been great so far and the Geisha is the first freecoaster to have been made/tested/marketed for street (rather than just flatland) abuse. It's really easy to take apart and service aswell so its well worth learnign to do that. It also uses axle studs which are easily replaceable at around £10 and bent axles are generally considered the problems with freecoasters so that sorts that out. I've had mine since the start of summer and serviced it a few times as they do have problems bedding in (they give of a pop when disengaging and ocasionally ghost pedal) but once you've taken it apart and filled it with lube it's perfect. You can also change the 'slack' on the freecoaster which is how much of a pedal it takes to engage when your rolling backwards, less slack and it generally feels nicer but alot of people use lots of slack so there's no chance they will accidentally pedal forward and engage it when doing high speed fakies. I run the minimal slack which is a bit less than an eigth of a pedal, it seems like alot coming from a trials bike but i never notice it anymore. I consider the freecoaster well worth it but it just suits your style really. I got used to it VERY quickly aswell. I'd go for the Geisha Street but some people are waiting for Gsport/George French to release one and i think theres another company with one in the making. They may be worth waiting for but the Geisha is great for me. Rims wise i'm not too sure as i'm not actually too pleased with the braking surface on the brimo balance (7005) i got with my geisha, it seems like it's just muddy (that type of chrome rim mud you cant see but you know is there) but i can't seem to clean it- any ideas? Sorry for the lecture there but hope i've helped. Max. EDIT: Sorry just noticed Poopipes post, that sums up the BB situation. I know profiles are a smaller axle size though so may fit as is. Check that out as if you didn't need a new BB for them they wouldn't really be any more expensive than the hollowbites. PS. You're choice but 90% of BMXers will tell you to steer clear of Winstanleys for buying things. Some orders are ok but they took over 3 weeks for a part i ordered and 2 months for my friends frame that was apparently in stock. When things do go wrong they're incredibly hard to get hold of aswell as they don't reply to emails and it goes through to some call centre on the phone in which an operator always tells you they're busy and will ring you back- they never do.

Ok thanks for that, yer the zoom sounds great. And the battery i hadn't really looked into yet but thats amazing! I've tried modern camcorders that barely last 30 minutes with the screen out! And yer i' more of a transfer it to PC straight away person as it's mainly for intenet videos. I'm not bothered atall about the DV in to be honest but thanks for that . Also our riding footage gets old so quickly that im not too worried about being able to play it on a camcorder in years to come. Thanks for the info about tapes aswell, i'll see which option works out cheaper for the ammount of time. The guy on ebay assures me that it does widescreen and i read somewhere else that it does aswell so thats a major plus although for the manual focus and all the other stuff i could bare without that i guess. Thanks very much for your help, one other question...what's it like to transfer digital 8 to computer? I'm not too knowledgable on how it works with real digital camcorders. :$ Thanks again, Max.

Hi, i'm getting myself a camcorder as my old camera (that did both pictures and video) broke and i replaced it with a DSLR so now need something to do videos with. I've been looking around and the main requirements i have are (other than the obvious things) 16:9 widescreen and a manual focus ring. And i want the body to be long and not very tall rather than high and not long if you get me. I've been told to look for MiniDV but it seems impossible to get these features in a MiniDV camera without shelling out alot. They all either have one or the other and manual focus rings are generally hard to come by. But i recently started looking at Digital8 camcorders and i can get everything i wat there for not too much. I was wondering if Digital8 is a positive nono or if it's ok to use? I'm not so worried about size which i'm told is the main downside to them so is it ok to get one? In particular i've been looking at this one and was thinking of bidding on it tomorow. What do you lot reckon? Cheers, Max.

There was also another one similair to that that i saw right in front of me. A tee shirt was thrown out and was going straight to a kid who looked about 8, had his arms up ready to catched it and looked so exited and chuffed! Then a fully grown man from a few seats behind leaned right over everyone, whipped it basically out of his hands and handed it to his son who looked about 19! The lil' kid looked really sad an i'm sure the tee shirt will just go to the back of that guys wardrobe.

Yer i was there aswell. The speed trials was amazing! Really fun to watch and really got the audience going, one of the few comps (as in bike show/nass almost demo type comps) i've been to that really had the audience shouting and involved. The rest of the show was fun aswell, apart from the 16 year age restriction on the testride track which it didn't say o nthe website anywhere. I got there after my friends and one of them had already said he was 15 by accident so then he wouldn't let any of us in. Was a really good day out though, lotsa freebies an whatnot. I'm stocked up for life on puncture repair kits for free! Did anyone else see the cyclair pumps? I brought one for £17, they're amazing, soo small but so quick to pump.

It seems to be pretty solid with no extra booster on my Echo Team. I'm after getting a cheap booster swell though, as said above mainly for crossover protection.

I'm in the market for this to. I'm after spending around £100 for a second hand ebay one. From asking around ive been told by 80% of people to go for Sony's, slughtly more money but much better than the competitors i'm told. The majority of the others said Canon. Not too much help but definately keep looking for a Sony on Ebay.

People who knock down dirtjumps. Nuff said. And the bloody anoyhing little flies that infest the woods and suck your blood to make building trails a hassle. How can something so small leave such a massive red bite?

"Max was arrested for the murder of the head of the Aesir corporation." "Max was arrested for dealing vast amounts of amphetamines." "Some years later, Max was arrested for heroin possession whilst his father lay dying." "If Max was arrested for something else he would probbably imediatly be identified as one of the attackers in Egypt." Some of those are kinda wierd.

I used to have a bierded dragon but it lost its appeal after a few years once it got big and fat and wouldnt move. Great lizards though, i really miss good ole Taz. To Haz they can be really tame if you handle them well when there young but just make sure you handle him/her lots now otherwise they nip when they're older. Real cute though! Whats his/her name and sex?

I don't properly sleep walk but i do have a related story. Around 6 months ago, back when me and my mates were digging trails alot for bmx, i fell asleep in front of the TV. When my dad tried to wake me up to get me to move into bed i didn't fully wake up and when he tried to direct me up the stairs i kept trying to run back saying i had left my spade behind :$.

There's a good range on chainreaction aswell. Might be worth checking there. This one for example. Or you could just by the actual reservoir and funnel and put it in a normal bag?

For anyone who wants a legit version of dreamweaver and is a student you can get a student copy of studio 8 for £70. This includes the newest dreamweaver, flash, fireworks, contribute and flash paper. Qualification criteria: Students must be enrolled, full time, in a degree-granting program at an acceptable Education Institution (being a bona fide university or college -- including community, junior and vocational colleges or other further education colleges -- that grants degrees requiring not less than the equivalent of two (2) years of full time study). Are there any catches to this? Seems incredibly cheap. Amazon Link

Here Maybe the Fuji Finepix S5000 Zoom half way down the list? Should do you proud if you can stretch your budget to £129. Has 30fps video at 320 x 240 with audio. Has all the manual image modes if you ever want to use them, i donut the shutter lag will be much but i'm not too sure, perhaps ask someone who has something in the range. Also has continuous shooting modes. It uses 4AA batteries so if you buy some NiMH ones with a charger you can charge it all up again nicely. Also uses XD cards and you can buy a 1gb one from here for less than £30 which will do alot of video at that resolution. I think around 20 minutes but im not too sure. I know it's a bit out of your budget but it's certainly something to consider.
