  1. £40 to take your bike? I just took mine apart and put it in a large suitcase type thing that was inside the weight and size restrictions and no questions were asked, i went from London-Halifax-Montreal-London so thats 3 flights with no troubles or expense.
  2. Saving this from the Dead... Nation Roadtrip Pretty mad, but editor needs to learn about deinterlacing footage? Odessa Barcelona Trip Mad again.
  3. Hahahah i use that word Along with loads more you probably hate. Nothing in particular is getting to me at the minute though, happy as larry
  4. Ahh yer, was aware it was a model up but wasn't sure how much the differences where. Ahh ok, cheers for that. Seems to work with my nikon kit lense though. I really should get into the habit of autofocus i guess, i'll try it next time i'm out. Manual focus just feels so much funner aswell haha.
  5. My names Max Need to change that username at some point haha. Pretty much the same thing's a digital, flash sync speed if your shooting extreme sports and then just the other general features. From what people tell me it seems to be just get the best Nikon (seeing as your DSLR's Nikon) that fits your budget and you can't go too wrong (although they start getting real good around F75/F80 kinda stage and most people i've talked to with lover models wish they'd saved the extra £40 or whatever. Just make sure you get a user manual with it, and read it Snappel how come you'd say to people get the F80 rather then the F75?
  6. Haha, nah BMX is one of my main types of photography lol. But for some reason i just got out of the habit of using it and have VERY rarely touched it since. Maybe it's a bad habit i guess but when i do whack autofocus on i find i don't get as good results (using a D50) i prefer to zoom in as far as i can, focus manually then zoom out again to whereever. Next time i'm out i'll try a some autofocus just for you But you should have compatible auto focus anyway i think, the only time you wouldn't would be with old lenses that come with the film cam if you're using them on the D50 i think. But someone correct me if i'm wrong? Because i wan't verification on all the lense compatibility too.
  7. What kinda price range you looking at? Instead of the D in 'D50' for example they start with F (for film im guessing). You could get an F80 for about £100 with a lense or two second hand or F60/F55 for around £60. Then theres the F100 for around £200 probably and then things like the F6 which are the really expensive range. All of these use the Nikon F Mount so i'm pretty sure the lenses on these can be used on your D50 and vice versa although you may lose autofocus cababilities (am i the only one who never touches it?). I'm looking at getting the F80 asap for my film course next year, can't wait to shoot film again and have regular access to a darkroom Edit: Just remembered that if you see them with an N instead of an F (N80 for eg) then thats just becuase the american models use an N instead of an F so the N80 will be the same as the F80 jus from america.
  8. I want your camera setup haha Havent watched the video yet though, but i'm sure the Videography will be awesome as always .
  9. Jeff Cadger, 16 Years Old A really mellow, fun vid from Brian Tunney
  10. They do just keep getting better and better! Your last one was great and i wasn't expecting another one soon but this ones really good I possibly prefer the style of the last one though but can see (hear ) that this one is a better mix. Do more
  11. How on earth has Watford completely missed all of this It pissed it down on friday but thats it, and it didn't go on long enough to flood at all. Fatpants has it really been that bad in London? Thats only 15 miles or so away .
  12. I went for dan brisa, not sure why i just like the atmostphere of it. There were a few that coulda got my vote though, i don't think any one reeaaalllyy stands out from the rest. An im annoyed, i had some good stuff for this but only just got back from Canada
  13. I'm sure i've said it before but seriously be soooo careful doing that. I snapped one of my studs out of the hub so that instead of the stud snapping it just snapped straight out of the aluminium inner axle taking a decent portion of that with it. I, and everyone i've spoken to, are pretty surei t's becausethe stud was slightly loose, how loose it has to be to do that i have no idea but it can't have been that loose and i'm not even a heavy rider I just switched to solid axle which to be honest seems alot better so far.
  14. I've never experienced it personally (touchwood) but from the experiences people who have these guys can have serious weapons. You'd have to have big guts to go at someone holding a knife and then theres the common factor of bats, poles, crowbars etc. Like i say guns aren't unheard of either. A friend of a friend was put in a coma by a nutorious gang round here. It was in a popular kinda 'emo hangout spot' park thing and they just got seton for all their stuff, the attackers had 4ft iron poles etc. And yer i know what you mean about disloyalty, i'd like to think i'd stick with a mate in almost any situation, if a friend ran on me i doubt he'd be my friend anymore. Round Watford there can be quite alot of it, mainly between whites and asians i reckon. From whites to asians it's generally underhand murmors etc but if an asian is rascist to whites, from what i see, it tends to be more blunt and ends in fights if the whites stand up to it. There's been incidents of gangs of 30+ asians running down the high street shouting 'pakis for life' an stuff. A girl im mates with was kinda attacked in the park on one of the snow days when she split from our group, that was by about 20 asians but seemed more for fun then racism. They're the worst! I've been started on for my bike twice and had a knife pulled on me once, all by 'irish travellers'. There was a massive pikey settlement near Harrow skatepark so we always used to get trouble there. I once saw a skater stand up to them (they were only about 13) and within minutes about 20 18 year old brothers were down with weapons, a guy near me got a chunk BITTEN from his shoulder when he was attacked cos of this. Is the shittest thing ever, these guys stick together like anything and are rediculously violent and just don't give a crap, i think pileys are the most likely to knife you, they're pretty much safe from the law for a start. I'm spending a few weeks in Canada at the moment, i've had no trouble watsoever in Halifax (Canadian Halifax) and its been refreshing. You get some gangster types who act hard here but there the kind that would get 2 shits kicked out of them if you dropped them in the middle of an English councill estate and havent done a thing so far. Im going to Montreal on wednesday which is suposedly one of the worst areas of Canada, big crips area if you remember the thread about crip dancing and gangs, so i'll see how that works out. Looonnngg post lol. Despite all this though i agree with everyone who says you just learn how to hold yourself in your environment and its about what your used to.
  15. Allow trepping to Dagenham skatepark anytime soon then if what HASMS ripped from Wiki is true Watford can be pretty bad, being a London suburb its pretty mingled, my road is really nice for example but just a few roads away your in the shit. It seems that the further into London you go the more it's like this, particularly East London from my experience riding through there. YOu'll be going through posh riverside apartments one second and then turn a corner and ride down a road full of burnt out cars and groups of black boys shouting and stuff, then turn another corner and be in the clear again. I hear of a fair few stabbings around Watford and i've heard of a few gun incidents, i reckon they certainly exist around here anyway. I've rarely had any trouble myself though (aside from the standard shouting and half atttempted chases) as i think you get to know the ins and outs of your area and know how to act, where to go, who to avoid etc to keep yourself safe. I've hidden down my fair share of alleys and behind my fair share of cars haha. Another thing that seems to be increasing around London is something called 'Steaming'. Basically a massive group of chavs, usually armed, find an enclosed space that has alot of people in it (skateparks are a prime example as they often only have one or two thin exits) and just go in, block the exits and take all the valuables there and beat the shit out of everyone. Not fun I'm pretty sure Dagenham skatepark got steamed a while ago. At least im going to ride in the renowned non ghetto of Canada on thursday, i'm really interested to see how different the situation is there as apparently random street trouble is VERY rare. Montreal is supposed to be a big crips area though.
  16. My 1GB shuffle is full of hip hop really: Skinnyman Foreign Beggars Akala Souls Of Mischief Murs Dead Prez Example Proff Green Dizzie Rascall JME Just Jack Brother Ali Chynaman Eminem D12 Dr Dre Jehst Wiley Plan B Jedi Mind Tricks Jurassic 5 Cypress Hill House of Pain The Streets Penguin Cafe Orchestra (seriously-go buy there stuff. Is classical but really up beat and super happy) Massive Attack Four Tet Radiohead Rob Dougan
  17. Yer for sure, i know what you mean. But at the same tim peopole assume other riders are stuck up jus cos they ride a certain style and stuff, they're not all like that and if its the kind of riding they find fun then props to them. I get your drift though. Levis Video Luc E Grind to 180 EDIT: Sorry those Hamilton links work now, although it's old stuff so won't be the hamilton style stuff your expecting. Although it's mad to see how good he's always been. I love watching old videos, is crazy how some of the tricks in them are only just coming back now and considered new and amazing and stuff. I have a props from the 80s or something rediculous and its littered with massive decades over dirt jumps
  18. Yer, i'm not saying hes the best, but theres certainly not alot of reason to hate on a rider as good as him. I don't understand why people in BMX dont just let others to get on with what they're doing and apprecialte styles different to their own. And as for comparing bestwick to cranmer Completely different types of riding. That flair double downside was awesome though . EDIT: Thought i should contribute some videos haha so here's a few: Tobias Wicke making funny noises while doing rad bibycle stunts Couldnt remember if padded cell roadtrips been posted Comp Footage Newsfeeds for the win
  19. Yep haha, well i've seen it quoted as a, turndown flair to 540 blah blah blah blah tailwhip blah blah blah tailwhip, elsewhere, an yer it certainly looks like one to me, i'll give him that. He is soooo madly talented, even very few of the streetcore scotty cranmer haters will deny him that, but yer, the hops get boring after a while, and its all quite samey. Although that video on the white bank with drop at the bottom was MAD! If he could make a video part full of tricks like, and as smooth as, 'the flairy thingy to spiny thing to whip (he had to get one in somewhere) no hops smooth as you like.' manuel mentioned above it would actually be awesome EDIT: although that manual to superman was pretty rad. I swear i did it first though
  20. Cheers And it's a process called greenscreening, was my first stab at it so looks skeeettchy as haha. Basically you do the interview in front of a wall thats painted green or covered in green card or whatever, it must be pretty evenly lit. Then in premiere you can do a green screen key to remove all the green in the video (so the person must not be wearing green) and then just plonk it on top of other stuff. And that sputnic video is mmmaaaddd good, new(ish) mirraco video on thecomeup is sick aswell, and some other awesome stuff on there at the minute.
  21. The Life in a Day With Jason A short little video interview type thing i did with a local rider and mate. The greenscreen woulda worked allright if my cam wasn't so damn grainy Longer versions to come as i have a hell of a lot of footage but that one had to be cut down to around 2 minutes for the NKE Media Apprentice competition. The funnier bits of the interview were also left out for this one as it had to be cut down so much. Enjoy
  22. WOW! That site is actually AMAZING. The design is incredibly clever and really nice to navigate but is a bit confusing at the start with the block leasing off to small sub sections before the main site, i can see alot of people clicking on one and missing the others due to the continue button etc. But the content is what blew me. I'm no christian but there sure was words of wisdom there, some inspiring stuff. And the inspiration section was great, it's funny how i would have chosen many of the same things. One of the best personal style sites on the internet, get those final sections done
  23. Some sort of wierd domain forwarding going on? Or just generally wierd server or summat. For example watfordriders.co.uk is worth $339 but watfordphotography.co.uk is worth $0 cos the domain is forwarding to a folder on my watfordriders hosting.
  24. Yer he's awesome, mad talent. Was immense live aswell. You might like Akala if your into that sota stuff. He's pretty good. Brother Ali and Jordan Miche are doing it for me at the minute though. Anyone with Itunes sign up to the Indie Feed podcasts. They're free, im subscribed to the Hip Hop and Indie ones and they're actually awesome! A great way to find more underground artists you wouldnt otherwise. haven't not liked a track on the hip hop one so far.
  25. AAARRGGG! Just found out I can't go cos i'm going to Canada on the 18th. Was gonna be AWESOME aswell. Canada will be sooo awesome but at the same time i'm missing this, NASS and possibly doing photography when Proffesor Green plays at Watford All to go away with my parents Lemmie know if there's anything else like this happening.
