No idea what that is haha, but yer it's lazer engraved into the wood, really nice piece! Pretty gutted to be giving it away to be honest.

Little to add and I try and keep out of cannabis arguments just cos it's been done to death and is all a matter of preference/the individual smoking, but I'd just like to say that 'You're trying to POO POO ME' made my sunday.

Sorry to plough my wares on here, but I'm putting on a Facebook competition which ends tomorrow and figured you lot would like the opportunity to win loads of free stuff as much as anyone else. 3 Tee Shirts, Tinchy Stryder headphones, an original piece of artwork, cds and stickers are all in the bundle, and all you need to do to enter is like us and share on Facebook. But yer, all the details are here, much appreciated if you lot could all do me a favour and share it around. Cheers!

I finished uni in Bournemouth last year where I could develop for free so it's become a bit of a ballache to be honest. I sometimes go down there, sneak in and do a load of films that I've been mounting up. Those films up there though were developed at Snappy Snaps, I get develop only (fiver odd I think) and then scan them myself on an Epsom 4490. Decent, cheap scanner that's fine for web use and small prints. I use that for all my scans but then if it's for print or something I'll normally just use it to whittle down what I want to get scanned professionally. I also found this place Photo Express. It's apparantly pretty decent, but I'm still wary of sending films by post to somewhere like that so haven't used it yet. I plan to use them for snapshot films that aren't important and test it all out though, at £2 for dev only it would make life much cheaper. Speaking of which, I just got some films developed from a shoot in Fabric Nightclub back in December. That place has a ridiculously strict photo policy and very few get to take a proper camera in, my D200 broke the day before so I shot it all on film which in a nightclub like that is a NIGHTMARE, but to say I'm excited about the results would be an understatement!

Speaking of which, when did 9-5 morph into 9-6 all of a sudden?

Just random bits from the pocket film camera cos I'm hip like that... So gutted this isn't sharp, I always spot this little guy when I haven't got a camera to hand...

That goes without saying, but it's generally the people that get pissed off annd negative about this and just moan all the time that do f**k all to help themselves. This. Someone else said that we did well without arty types before, but.... a) That was a different world. In an age where technology can do almost anything (in industries of mass production anyway) that a human can, creativity is potentially the most valuable thing going forward. Who do you think populated all those advertising agencies etc you watch TV shows about? People didn't have creative degrees back then, doesn't mean there wasn't creative people.

Yer I think MonkeySeeMonkeyDoo kinda nailed this one. We're not overtly jovial people who shout about it a lot and are really up beat and smiley (the Americans are a key example of this) but that doesn't necesseraly mean we aren't happy. Even our comedy for example is dark and self depreciating, it's just all part of the English way. I can understand why that might come off as us not being happy though. Seeing sights of the world for example, I'd be with Americans who'd say 'are you not impressed?' because I wasn't hollering, whooping and crying, but that doesn't mean I'm not appreciating it. That said, people in public do need to crack a smile more often, people look at me like a madman if I laugh at something while I'm walking down the street.

Jeeesus some of you need to look on the bright side of life. If you're stuck in this mindset of 'The economy is shit, life is shit, I won't get a good job', then sure enough, life probably will be shit and you probably won't get a good job. Opportunities do occasionally fall into your lap, but they have a habit of doing so much more often when you're trying to make stuff happen for yourself. And plus one on the networking thing. 'You need to know people' is an easy excuse, but why don't you get to know people? For me the problem is that degrees have just become a right of passage of the middle class. You grow up through secondary school just knowing 'I'm going to go to uni after this', just because it's what people do. People (me included don't get me wrong) end up going to uni more just for the experience and to not miss out rather then anything to do with education and it's just like this 3 year long middle class summer camp. Upping the fees is a good thing if you ask me, but only as long as they use that to provide more grants for estate kids an stuff that show promise.

Not really my thing but that's pretty sick man, liking the progression from 4:25. Quick dub cos I was bored last night... http://soundcloud.com/quinceybeats/sameold

Ok so I'm currently tired as f**k after a hectic weekend, little sleep, work, football etc etc and I'm also a bit ill right now. Was reading this thread jamming on my bed, laptop up on my knees with my bedroom door (to the corridor) wide open but my laptop blocking my vision. Looked over it to look at the clock next to the door an BAM, there's a wierd old man standing in the door frame staring at me. Shat my pants and almost threw my laptop at him, looked away, looked back and there's nothing there. Thinking about it, I'm pretty sure the it was a creepy bloke from a Midsummer Murders episode that scared the crap out of me when I was younger, mad how the brain can play tricks.

Bullitin shots look wicked! Don't they only send that round to industry people an offices etc? Not too sure on that one but that's the only places I've seen it, thought it was free. This. I snapped a 17-50 literally in half travelling, it was fully in 2 pieces. Some kid in Bolivia tried to snatch my camera, I span round and pushed him away and in the process my camera hit a bench lens first. Took it apart with a jewelers screwdriver some eternal crusty randomly had, realigned everything, superglued the snapped bit, reconnected all the electrical bits and put it back together. Been working perfectly (even the autofocus) for about 18 months since. In Jessops news: It's about time they shut down. I'm all for paying a premium for high street shops and the knowledge/service/community that comes with it, but they need to actually have that knowledge and service. Hopefully all the decent independent shops that are suffering will see a bit of an influx.

I swear people on Facebook lose all but their slowest brain cell at the simple mention of the word 'Charity'.

Admittedly I just looked back through my PMs and it was that Hendrix guy. All you car lot are one entity to me haha. I think that was perhaps my tf higlight, other than the forward roll challenge competition. And the whole 'Mansfield Amphitheatre Showdown' debacle, that was a ruddy good laugh too. But the point still stands, this thread is more interesting then anything I've ever seen you post.

I guess that's kind of what I mean, there was obviously a point where you were blinded by the attraction and didn't notice those holes? It's that period of time that I'm getting at. That's not to say you have no idea whatsoever though haha. -

*Awaits barrage of hormonal little scrots who can't watch porn cos mummy's next door* Seriously though man, she fine. And looks naughty. Think I actually know what he means a bit although it sound odd. There's been a few girls I've fallen for and then when it's not worked out or whatever looked back and thought (honestly not as a result of being pissed off, talking a little while after or whatever)'she's not even that fit, what did I see'? You were obviously attracted to them, but if you had to judge them on some conventional fit scale they wouldn't do as well as you'd have thought originally when you were clouded by other stuff. Hard to explain. -
Edd: Good on you man fair play. Has anyone else had moments that really changed their outlook on life like that? I got a gun pushed into my gut by some kiddy in Brazil which is a moment I think of as heavily changing the way I approach things. Wouldn't really admit it at the time and laughed it all off, but it definitely put a scare into me and made me think about a lot, bit of a wake up call. Can't really remember the whole story to be honest, was a good few years ago. It was something to do with cars and brake checking, either he savagely brake checked someone who was behind him and caused a crash, or he went straight into the back of someone who was break checking him on purpose or something. Either way, it was really dumb so I got on the wind up for a little bit pretending the police were on the way to his house haha.

You're right, the days of listening to you breeze about cars in every thread were much more interesting then genuine decent topics like life goals and JTs one the other day. Pretending to report you to the police was pretty entertaining though admittedly.

Surely if you're feeling that bad about it, she's not the one and you need to get out? Obviously it's only something you can answer, but it seems to me you just need to not let some fear of being alone or whatever get the best of you and do whatever feels right. If you wanna shag about now, what about in ten years when she's severely aged and you find you have little to talk about other than the school run? -
You offering me a job? Cos all that other stuff can wait haha.

I just want someone to be inspired by something I've done in the same way century old music, literature and art have inspired me. Sounds cheesy but whatever, I want to leave some sort of mark on this world bigger than earning my boss a bit more money. I want to do community work with kids in the UK. I want to promote real hip hop to them as a means of creativity and stress relief, encourage it as an educational tool to promote an interest in words and literature. I want to grow up happy with my mates still around me. I want to be a dad, a f**king good one at that. I want the love of a queen. I want to see the world. From the worlds eye's preferably. I want to never succumb to the 'uni years are the best of your life' bullshit that I've already disproved since leaving and make sure every year is better than the last. I want some idea of how to do all this.

Because, as already said, it makes you sound proud of the label, immature and generally a bit odd. You don't just walk into a room and go 'I'm a criminal' for no reason, people treat you differently so it's the kind of thing you keep close to your chest. I can understand if it comes up in conversation or whatever but it's a strange thing to wear on your forehead.
