I don't think everyone expects it as much as you say to be honest, I certainly don't, people just want it to happen enough to seem that way. As for being passionate and supportive of the team whether they win or lose, I don't think some of the shocking decisions and general poor approach to the World Cup would go down too well if the Brazilians did it either.

I absolutely love football. For me it's the funnest game on this earth to play, and the most entertaining to watch. But whether you like it or not, some of the comments in this thread are pretty ignorant. For a start, England players definately DO care about winning the world cup. I know they're overpaid fassys but you don't get to that level without absolutely loving football, and winning the world cup is every footballing kid's dream.

To be fair I kinda agree with you lt after a semi ruck in Walkabout today involving some mug who got pissed off cods whenever he turned round and shouted 'COME ON ENGLAND!' I didn't join in, despite him always shouting it at the most stupidly timed moments when everyone else was concentrating on an imporrant moment in the game ratheer than him being an idiot. Buuuut I still jsut love the carnival vibes.

That's the most stupid way of meeting at a festival i've ever heard

I watched a film called 'Lost' last night an it was immense. Is a psychological thriller set in real time about a guy who gets lost driving through the desert and loads of stuff goes wrong. Maybe it's just because I was lean but it really draws you in and at some points I felt so involved with the character it was actually kinda uncomfortable to watch But yeah, well worth a watch, would be interesting to see what other people think of it.

Yer i do, I'm not trying to start the whole 'f**k the polish taking our jobs' thing here, I'm completely against that an agree with you entirely. Just the one bit i disagreed with that it does make you slightly ignorant if you're in someone else's country without having a grasp of their language. Whether you're ignorant cos of you're own fault or being forced to move their, you're still ignorant to their language.

To be fair he might have a good appreciation of money too, he earns £800 a month at that age so obviously works hard. Everyone can give ghetto sob stories about how their first car was a matchbox with peas for wheels but we all get treated sometimes.

Why not just jam with her for a bit, make sure she's on the straight and narrow an then see where it goes from there? Then If it does come to it, tell her what you (and all your mates and family) are worried about and explain that on the first sign of drugs, you're out of there. If she's worth all the commitment then she'll sort it all out. If not at least you can say you tried and just cut all ties for good if it happens again. Mind me asking what type/quantities of drugs it was?
