My girlfriend is going to Derby university in September and I was just wondering what the town is like to ride? Are the many spots? Are they easy to find? etcetc cheers

When they work they're really really good, but on the rare occasions where they do break they cost a f**king bomb to fix, the one i'm running has been going for around 4 years now and has had 3 previous owners.

Doesn't matter whether you're a beginner or not, if you ride with a variety of people you'll progress with your riding a lot quicker. Look in the rides/locations topics and go along to some of them. Everyones got to start somewhere haven't they

spray the frame the same shade of purple as a Quality Street Big Purple One. Always thought that would be a cool colour for a frame!

Ridden with Caged pedals (VP's) Ever since I started riding. Never had any problems with how long they lasted or grip except for when I very first started riding and they got bashed around loads. Only ever had 2 pairs of platform pedals on my trials bike, Shin digs, which lasted literally 1 gap, I slid down to pedal and the one that hit the wall just snapped clean in half. and Onza Hognesiums, they were quite good but the pins snapped out really easily. I ride with Hoffman Solemate pedals on my BMX which are really comfy and grippy! They come in a few different colours as well which is pretty cool. Had them for ages now and only snapped 1 pin out. Oh yeah, I wear UK size 12 shoes.

The YMSA comps were always really good, loved going to them when I first started out, think they got cancelled though due to lack of support? The thing with people in the UK is if you can't reach it from where you're sitting it pretty much isn't worth doing. No one can be bothered to treck out in the middle of no where to watch some little fag have a hissy fit and throw his brand new Monty Kamel at his parents because he put his foot down on a section. A lot of the UK riders are quite young too so can't reach comps because they can't drive, and when they're old enough to drive/drink they just sell their bikes to pay for beer and stuff.

Belkin ipod stuff is generally a bit toss anyways, me and my girlfriend both got a Belkin Car tape player ipod thing and they both broke, the one they replaced mine with is on its way out now as well.

Right I've f**ked the bolt that fixes the rohloff to the mech hanger. Just wondering if anybody else has had this problem? Is there a bolt I could use as a substitute, like a crank bolt or something? cheers

After discussing it with a few people, in 05 there was the CLS (long) Python and you oh Zhi (short) Python. There was also the Pitbull in two lengths in 05/06. In 04 there was CLS's Baby Pitbull/Python, and Tunni's? one length of Pitbull.
