OK, for some inspiration...and other useless moves... How about one handed bunny hops... :- Seen Nick (223Leeson) do one... Very nice trick
-
:) Monty shoes are really rugged...my pair is over 2 years old, intensive use, and still lasting...very comfy too... :( Until I tried them, I thought wearing special trials shoes was just hype...
-
I like the irony... Nice angles too...that motivates me for taking more pics...trying to be creative...

Eat pasta about an hour before you go riding...that'll give you plenty more energy than all the junk food you can get :- ... Then, motivation is a bit a more difficult one...find yourself a specific move you want to practise...and focus on it for the full ride :- ...that'll give you something to relate to...(worked for me in some occasions  )

Hi to the Africa Team B) That was an excellent ride (though now my back is turning dark blue with shades of purple :P ) Was nice to put some faces on some of the animals of the trials-forum :- :P very nice atmosphere Woody, these videos were excellent (bouncing and front to back-wheel)...will make some interesting material for an extra page in TrashZen :- I'll let you know when that's online. Also, Chai, Matt and 223Leeson, I'm sure I can share your expertise in some pages (at least some of the impossible moves you pull  ). Did some nice vids today :P, and will be making something useful out of it...I hope :D" I'll keep you posted... B)

I defo need to be there...(still sorting out my balance on that new toxsin frame) totally different feel than that bulky orange I had. :) I reckon my stem/handlebars combo are too long now for that 1085mm frame... :( But need to try some other bikes to confirm that impression...you won't mind  any one on a 26" rig...

Amazing street riding... (N) Good promotion for trials...fashionable...cool etc... :( But true it would be nice to see these guys on more natural stuff...'cause there is so much more to learn in natural trials...it is so much more subtle and requires so much more balance...it's day and night. (Y) I've seen Cesar at many natural competitions...and there you can tell the difference...natural riding is unforgiving for approximate moves. Whereas in street riding, any approximate moves makes it because it is all square and fairly equal (all other power skills equal) Then again, I would still be happy to do all these mega moves... :D but after seeing them after and after again...yep...it gets boring (I don't get as excited watching :D ...I need to be on my bike)

OK then, Anyone tried water on louise disk brakes? (Y) Any comments? And when it accidentally freezes...couldn't it burst the joints (around the cylinders or so) and then need a new bleed? How long have you been running on water? Just curious..I may try some day...

Will be putting something on the topic, whenever I get some good video. :D" slow motion etc...I guess this technique deserves a nice page. :( I also need to sort it out for myself (Y)

Pretty much the same idea for me. Trials is like the purest form of riding... and the fun of it. :S ...I just can't stop....
-
OK, not trying to take advantage of your bad luck or anything...but if you can send me a pic too... I am compiling a webpage of all cracked or Trashed parts, just as a reference...could be interesting all of you guys... B)" Then if I have a lot, I will organise this mini morgue by bicycle parts or brand, for easy searches... :P

(N) OK Steve, Then what was that fork again? Echo?
-
Hi Guys, Do you mind if I collect your pics in the trashy bit section of my website??? (N) I think that would build an interesting collection. :"> Actually, if you send me any good pictures of broken parts, I am quite interested to set them in that page...Specify what it is, the brand, and your name if you want or nickname...and there it goes... :) Let me know what you think
-
:) Nice idea, but try to avoid the rainbow effect (trying all the different font styles and colour schemes at once is an overkill) (N) But the cover is quite nice definitely :)
-
Ok, That would have to be or both taken by nico

Used to go 20-16 now on 22-17. But the harder the gear, the more likely you'll be ejected off your bike rather than pulling the move... Beware that for the same number of teeth difference, 20/16 is not the same as 22/18 for example. 20/16 is harder. The ratio is not the same, take computer.

Will give it a go (with a a knackered rear wheel and cracking frame)... (Y) This time I'll bring a camera too....I want to get some good pics for the who's who section (Y)
-
Hi , Really excellent pics, I like very much all the blurred effects with low shutter speed and flash....cool... (Y) for cheaper prints...what don't you try staples...I mean digital coulour copies on large sheets of paper, they probably do up to A3 and more...on thick paper... (Y) (but then you need your pics in digital format, do you have a digital or analogue camera?)
-
Maybe I'll give it a go. Need to get a new rear wheel and a new frame... :o My Orange Zero has cracked behind the BB after 4 years of excellent duty (Y)
-
That was my first group ride in the UK. Definitely impressive and very good ;) atmosphere...thanks for everyone who turned up, and Chai and others for the guided tour of the zones along south bank... :D Will definitely come back...though I broke a chain ring??? (with the crank bash plate still there) :D yeah a quarter of it just disappeared somewhere along the river... Need to get that bike properly sorted for more trials... I was on that old vintage zero Orange bike with a leopard seat...
-
yepa, If my bike is OK by then, I'll definitely give it a go. There is plenty to ride on the south bank. Will be my first group ride here. (Y)

 Wrist repair in progress...won't work for me this WE though... :P
-
right handed and right footed...right foot forward But some techniques I get better on the opposite side (still with the right foot forward)"
-
Totally depressing...just f..my wrist, can't ride for about three weeks or so. Would love to join you guys in london. Will be another time... (N)

Adapt to the style of writing of the magazine you target... (Y) I agree there is a lot of writing and Press Relations (PR) jobs that can be involved at any major bike manufacturer (the advertisers in any mag). So it's not just bike mags...advertising and marketing can be a devious path for a start... :D I am editor for a non-bike related magazine, and I can see lot of people writing on behalf of other companies that sell products, and then address their articles to relevant magazines.
