Hey, what's the point about that loud angry music? didn't go too well with all the cool moves... you didn't kill yourself at the end Ok, riding was absolutely amazing.. really loved the new way you jump pedal hop to front wheel instead of hooks (like Neil did on these post boxes) That's really the coolest move , I want to learn that now
-
Blah blah blah!!! that's Mr Olly already gearing up for his biggest sidehops and competing mood, but just posting his preliminary excuses for in case someone could match up... Don't you worry you beast Then in the same line, I'll be there to fool around as usual...
-
yep, if it is too strong, then, you'll botch the frame attach... I 'll be putting some soft articulations into it... (actually, just saw an excellent other thread in the member area)
-
I've had countless bent mech hangers... and really, I am working on a home-made solution..., something that would hide the mech between the frame and wheels... not outside the frame to bash it on failed sidehops....and that could fold upon impact rather than bend and break. I gave it a try yesterday by reshuffling some bits and springs from an old shimano mech, when well for a ride, but I need a sturdier design... the metal used was too soft for the spring tension...and needed regular re-alignement Will post my results if conclusive

That last one is fantastic

Yep, bar tape foam is excellent! Much better feel for the bike, and come in all psychedelic colours , including camo etc... Recently, i've put another layer, and it's incredible! and yea, it comes out cheaper, for longer lasting, tape it in the direction of your wrist pulling back.
-
Now I've got a craving for natural sections... Well, I'll be off to brittany soon, with just miles of rocky coast line to play with... Will try to share the feel (the zones are truly incredible)
-
This is really pimp for a change (I really like the ashton shape, but never quite liked the decals ) P.S are you allowed to sidehop that bench? (ref to another thread )
-
You all complain but the cops are so nice here (as long as you remain polite) In france, they'd play it big gangster arrest, with car skid marks and if you move, they aim at you ('cause they 've got guns) Seriously, you don't know your luck (ok, they shoot someone occasionally, but they are special disturbed squads ), our average everyday french cop is much more trigger happy ) Once I got nearly ran over by a chasing police van, and they stopped me for not having lights. Seriously over the top , one even jumped out of the van like big movie style

Hey, really nice bit . What I was looking for when I bought my booster, was something well rounded like your design, thin, but with extra width rounding off around the bolts to really cover the hose plugs in the piston cylinders. None of the other boosters I've seen so far had these flanges. And it would have been different too. Nice industrial colours

Yep, too long for an intro and pointless, but I like the radio concept with the components (maybe it should be in another place, simply not as the intro, but a good effort)
-
dunno if any of you have checked the http://www.biketrials.hu/ website intro, but it's really excellent... a bit sponsored though, but very original just be patient and look at the slides..

Death in Vegas, title was Rocco ok for the unicycle then
-
was it the entire site or just the video streaming?? Also, did you have at least a link to download the video?, 'cause from what I have tried, when the video doesn't work, at least there is the link (for the big videos, not for the animated gif) I need your feedback But, yeah, unicycle looks really cool, no matter the difficulty of the moves... I guess once in a while, when I have enough material stacked up... but it really takes me long to build up a collection of clips... 'cause when I start filming, I can't ride... which sucks ... and filming itself is not exactly the exciting part is it?? But as I have seen on the Forum, the camera-in-a-corner is an OK solution for some moves (at least nobody gets bored behind the camera ).

Hey, It's true that it makes want to try...I definitely want to get a monocycle.... though, it's true that its' even slower than a trials bike to get anywhere It really steal the show from any regular trials rider Maybe some tutorials on that?
-
Yep, a quick assembled video from the monocycle trialists that were with us in London the 9th, Sponge and Joe. A change from the regular 2-wheel thing, that's for sure And I probably missed 3/4 of the action... Enjoy!
-
totally agree That's all the subtlety and chill out (ZEN) experience of trials I reckon... That's why nothing beats natural and all the fine tuning that goes with it Instant feel good factor, without the hit or miss risk factor of big moves

Wow, Amazing riding sites there... very picturesque! Happy shopping then

Right....job Interview Tomoz....but...with A Twist...
TrashZen replied to Joe Papasnap Maher's topic in Chit Chat
Yep, All has been said, shorter tie, no need for the jacket though, and body language. Whoever is interviewing you, try to be on par with how they behave, and tune on the same level of relaxation or seriousness they are. Goo luck then, , and don't go emo -
Lmao (now I can say it ) To be honest, what do you care if they are willing to bear the uncomfort of heat or having spiky chains rubbing their neck?? I find it non-sense, but still, it adds some diversity to a crowd , and even though that always make me laugh out loud seing dark-vador type, black adder clad kids or adults, I think it adds some fun to a crowd (isn't fashion like a big carnival going on everyday of the year?) When I have to wear the occasional suit and tie for a formal meeting, I just think.. hey, let's put on the busy executive clown make up , in a way, its' no different, I just play the part for a couple of hours. What's truly in your mind makes the difference, and you have to go beyond all that mascarade. Not everyone in the same fashion loop understands you, and not everyone with a different dressing code is a willy.

Ha ha This emo topic is fantastic! I dated an emo girl a while back, though, she was more on the punk side and always very complicated for everything, but really, what I think makes them cute is all their pretention and "I need attention" kind of attitude, but then, most of them move on and forget all the emo crap, or turn into being foul cynical girls (not my cup of tea).
-
So nobody ever bursted a braided hose then??
-
Ok, thanks... good fun Well, emo style girls are just like any others, some are good looking, and some not, and the attitude or style won't change much that matter But they makes me laugh a bit, somehow, I find them cute in their pretention, but actually, anything that spans from emo to gothic make me laugh out loud , especially when heavy chains are involved
-
I can't comment... because... Sorry guys, but what emo stands for??? :$ , and imao and all these funny expressions?? I need a lexique Ok, oh my god is about what I can understand

Again yesterday, at the very end of a 2h ride, my rear maggy' hose just bursted (just off the spiky screw) I don't know if it had been weakened from previous kicks (I don't have brake boosters that protect them) or if they were too tensed (not arched enough and a bit pinched) But this really sucks It's the 3rd time in less than a year, and luckily this time, it didn't involve me crashing on my spine Now I am considering a reinforced brake hose... but are they much better if you still don't use a brake booster? or Should I simply get the same magura hose but with a brake booster on top of it? Any experience with that?? Did any one burst any reinforced hose and how?
