--> QUOTE(joe b @ Mar 5 2007, 07:41 PM) ←I didn't enjoy that. Sorry, mate . Fair enough, the riding was pretty good but all other aspects of the video let it down . The editing wasn't the best; the clips needed to be cut down more and try and edit 'to the beat' more for better effect - it just makes it look more professional and not as if you have just taken the clips and the song and plonked them both down and exported it into a vid... The video was called a Chill Out Session however the music was far too fast and dancey to reflect this. Props for taking you bike on a work trip, though, mate . Cheers, Joe. Ha fair enough... this was done very quickly... didn't get away with it, from your comments... I'll learn from that.

Yep, was in Barcelona for work , brought the bike to be with my old friends over there and session the city during the WE. Also went back to the Trials park from the Cesar School. It is much bigger than last time... (check out the pics ). Anyway, here is the video in streaming, nothing extravagant, but a good atmosphere and plenty of sunshine. Ha... and for that little extra vanity, I redesigned the site... Julien

Hi lots, Well, something visitors ask me quite a lot, and I can't quite give them an answer, what is the nearest trials schools etc... I think it would be useful to make a listing of all trials clubs and schools, worldwide... by geographic location / country/town If you know of any biketrials schools, or classes, can you pm me with contact details of organisers AND the full address and name of the club (not just mtb club) I you give classes, in a formal way, feel free to send me the details etc... Hope to get this growing... Thanks for any help

That was huber cool!!, I can tell you've been intoxicating yourself again with raw gelly! Ha, need to ride London again some time when summer returns. you must know all these lines by heart! Makes me want to ride a mod , so bouncy and reactive I am just back from a session with some good old friends in Barcelona and that was a blast! So much more to ride than in Cambridge! hope to catch up with you over the summer.

Any time scale?? How long ago Any body else wants to claim the move?
-
Yeah, was just thinking about that technique lately, gaps to front wheel landing on rails, or climbing on rails to front wheel... Very neat and daring, a very mental game and not an obvious choice... So out of curiosity, who started it? and how did it come up to you? (those you claim the fame for it allegedly)

Just going to places and show up in time is a stopper... when it's so much easier to just take the bike out and ride without any fuss... But is that selfish??

Deviation in the realm of unitrials. That is a little project I wanted to start for a while, but only recently I got the time to shuffle some footage into decent pages. Check it out just for the sake of curiosity. I am not riding these beasts yet, but really planning to give it a try, for the odd urban commuting or pure distraction.

I 'm not keen on steel, but the presentation is just so cool! Well done Todge!

really fresh pics What a mint place to ride you've got there! that's really grippy rolling stuff! Granite?

That's be an excellent project, like browsing the forum, and copy/edit the best tips and regroup them, then add/take specific pics to illlustrate them. Really good idea. It would probably take a few weeks to do, but would be very useful. Basically, take the time to do it properly and make a booklet that is specifically geared to trials and cheap tricks and alternatives to regular tools . Because the problem with most publications or bike maintenance books is that they never answer questions like, can I do this without the proper tools? They are always illustrated with all the perfect tools. Then get a good lawyer for all the mummies who'll sue you because you encourage bad practises Magura make their warantee void if their brakes aren't bled with their kit, their oil, their spanner etc...

Yeah, that'll stop passers by to complain if you get it right first time. else, it looks like you are hitting it too soft and jumping too early (not getting the full boost of the tap), but you're nearly there. Once you'll get it right, it'll just be a mental game.

Excellent... but could have been nasty , nicely edited ;-) Hope you got ok Will, the crash looks nastier on video than in real life.

Hey really cool pics Joe, like the bunny hop sessions and the gaps.. pics are really sharp and nice! Hope to see that gap to rail in video soon Can't wait for warmer days though Olly, this bunny hop was not right New "kid" on the block was also Mark (yyman who still can't post as member but he just started trials this summer) We are trying to get something like this for a playground in Cambridge near fen-ditton just in front of his doorstep Hopefully you'll hear more from that when council approves the idea and we can start fiddling with materials. He'll be the main man in the know... as he lives right by the plot where this may be happening and he goes to the council meetings too... as local resident We call this a bike park not to make it sound too scary or exclusive with the Trials word in it

Yep, really nice turn out, stupidly slippery everything... but always good to see some new faces coming along Was not in a great shape but Joe made up for it with that near-headbutt gap.

Had a Tensile for 6months then it blew apart (well it unscrewed and skipped, I should have ckecked, but I didn't expect it to unscrew)
-
C'mon! Joe! Well, I'll be there 11ish or just before at the yellow skate park, though... a bit of a sore throat... But if even Olly is there, I'll have to show up .
-
Dunno if you ever seen that http://www.miniclip.com/games/trial-bike/en/ but very much fun to play with, you can even do some wheel swaps etc... quite amazing Just play with the control arrows
-
Hey cool, if the sun is there, I'll defo be there... It's been some time I haven't had a proper session... though, it's dark so quick! That'd be neat to see you all in town again! Olly!! blast that shed open, and come over for the laugh 11ish at the yellow skate park , where I usually do my 720 backflip
-
This is a mean machine ...

Anyone Here Do Weights To Increase Performance?
TrashZen replied to John planet x's topic in Trials Chat
I could never bother doing weights, and again I think that'd be counterproductive. Fast exercice, like some quick push ups look more to the point to wake up your muscles, and maybe plyometrics... on a bike (that's trials riding actually ) I think plyometrics must be good, maybe when warming up on the zone before you take the bike, but I am not too bothered. So my best option is just trials, in long sessions, until exhaustion. And definitely plenty of stretching before and after -
It must be very rigid and responsive then. I like the specs, but I am not so keen on the geo with the V stuff.

Hey, thanks for the 5p tip, I was thinking of something in that line, it's not gonna stay stuck is it? Well, I'll try to chek out what really happened... Was alright after the flight (just had a not very sexy landing )
