Howdy all, Just finished the first video of me riding the 1.3 Phase bike, courtesy of the lovely people at 2x2, so here it is Pretty much all just getting to grips with the bike kind of stuff, but I hope you'll enjoy it nonetheless. Filmed over the last three days in Plymouth, Penryn and Wheal Kitty. Mostly filmed on tripod unfortunately (if you lived down here, you'd know how hard it was to find someone to film you as well) but thanks to Luke Rainbird and Dan Pearce for the shots they filmed. Trials-Forum Video -> Full View • Download • Upload As I'm guessing is pretty obvious I'll be riding for the MAD demo team this year; big thanks to Giles and all the sponsors, and also to the various teams who supported me in the past. It's really meant a lot The vid is about 4 minutes long and 38mb in size. The music track is Invaders Must Die by The Prodigy, from their new album of the same name which coincidentally was released world wide today. If this tracks anything to go by, I'm guessing they might just sell a few copies. Hope you all enjoy, already started work on the second video. All comments welcome Rich

This is a compliment I don't think anyone would use lightly, but I think you've very much earned: A lot of that riding reminded me of the Trialskings Good work Joe Rich

Jack has worked very closely with some of the top professional names in this business, and is also increadibly professional in his approach to riding as a career. He also understands the idea of 'sponsorship' better than most. If theres a reason he's not on a big team, he himself will know what it is. Rich

A couple of people have said they'll be out for this but can't quite remember who said what, where or when, so... I'll be in from about 1.30 hopefully, so who else might be out and about? Rich P.S. Weather looks alright I suppose... -> weather.com

Driving Test Advice - Dsa Cancelled It Till 19th March

Just remember that they're not trying to catch you out, don't think that anything they ask you to do is a trick. When doing manuvers (sp?) or anything in fact, take as much time as you need and keep checking everything; mirrors, blindspots, indicators. Get a good nights sleep before hand, have a decent breakfast and think positive thoughts the whole day. Rich -
Best of the internet please....

Who Makes/has Made An Impact On Your Riding?
Rich Pearson replied to Captain Scarlet's topic in Trials Chat
Can't quite describe how reading that sentence makes me feel, but the closest word is probably nostalgia, so I'll go with that I have quite an odd/good one for inspiring me to ride: the song Take Your Best Shot by Dope. The first time I heard it was on the opening of new World Disorder 3 (possibly one of the greatest downhill/freeride films of all time, and it stars Jenna Jameson ) and at first I just thought, "What a kick ass song." So I found it and downloaded it and stuck it in my car, listening to it for the next couple of weeks as I drove to rides. After listening to it a few times over the lyrics started to become more clear to me, particularly lines such as "Don't let them say that you can't be the things that you want, just take your best shot," and "What do you want to do with your life?" which is really some of the most blunt and forthright inspiration I've ever had to just have a go at things, and aside from riding, the phrase Take Your Best Shot has been a kind of personal motto for me ever since. The one occasion on which that song really pushed me the hardest I've ever tried with my riding, was about 3 years ago, on the 23rd of December in Plymouth, at the end of an awesome days riding, where me and Andrei Burton were trying a previously unconquered drop gap at Copthorne. We both had three or four unsuccessful go's, and then when I was just psyching up for the next try, I started hearing those lyrics in my head, and I actually shut out all the other noise around me and just went for it with those words screaming through my head. To see that gap and listen to the song, here's the video, Rich -
Erm, I got given a bike, did really well with my uni course group presentation, and a had a really good night out on the town. So yeah, Friday the 13th actually kicked quite a lot of ass for me Rich
