  1. Awesome stuff Dave, really happy for you from someone who's been in the exact same situation, I know exactly how happy you're feeling Get/keep in touch with Si Lord just for the odd MOT to make sure everything's ok, and you'll be flying. Not sure the benefits of an ankle brace, Si would know more about it than I would, but whatever works for you dude Rich
  2. Awesome, was gutted when he said he was putting riding aside for a while, but seriously glad he's back on the bike now. Waynes always been one fo the UK's most phenomenal riders Pics looks good, looking forward to more. Rich
  3. Like f**k did I Couldn't get near it. Awesome pics Andy, I would blame you for my gurn face, but meh, suppose it mostly my fault Probably the best day of riding I've had in ages, awesome to see you all out, 'till next time Rich
  4. Exactly. You don't try to flair off a tree unless you are DAMN sure you're gonna make it. No matter how "crazy" some people may say Danny is, and others who push the limits of the sport, the risk being taken is a calculated risk, and I'd say Danny is probably one of the finest people judging that chance. Rich
  5. What I love about Danny is that he could have just gone off and become another BMX prodigy and no one would ever have paid much attention to him, but the fact that he's stuck with his love of trials and kept a variety of purist trials moves in his riding combined with the BMX influenced stuff, is just beautiful. Two moves really got me; obviously the flair out of the tree, and also the massive 360 down the steps into the tunnel. Both of those were just absolute poetry in motion. If you do come online and read this Danny, I'd just like to say that people like you are the reason I'm never willingly going to quit trials. An awesome accomplishment, well done Rich
  6. Haha, "Its been a bloody long weekend..." Epic Rich
  7. Does anyone know where you can download or even actually buy Contact from? I've never actually seen it all the way through. Good bails vid. Rich
  8. Lasy year I sent back a Pro2 T that I had grinded the disc mounts off (99.9% of maufacturers would immediately turn their noses up at this) because me hubshell had cracked (nothing to do with the modifications I'd done) and I recived a new one back within 24 HOURS with no questions asked. I would be quite surprised if they didn't give a free replacement, although if they have to send it to poland they may obivously ask for a little bit to cover the postage. Rich
  9. Anal Teflon = Alan Felton, or at least thats what I always assumed. Rich
  10. As others have said, I think its more personal choice. Prawn and Bigman (both beyond 18 stone) swear by theirs, but I hated mine (11 stone). I would probably say to people Pro 2 every time, but its your money, and clearly they work well for some and not so well for others (whereas Pro2's generally seem pretty sound all round). One thing I will say: I have never seen a king hub skip in a small way. It has always been a full half rotation skip like Ali said, and that usually does some damage to whoever is riding it. Up to you man. Rich
  11. Well, I shall be up Prawns on saturday night with Bigman, all go for the ride on Sunday Should be a fun Rich
  12. Dude... is that... is that BURROWS?! Rich
  13. Really, REALLY liked that Matt You gonna be in Plymouth on Sunday? Looking forward to a few evening rides in Liskeard over the summer, got to get up and see you boys more often Rich
  14. Well in a massive change of fortunes I will now be there with Fatmike in tow. 11 outside the station a good plan? Rich
  15. Asda? They usually have pretty good offers on the generic crates like J.Smiths, Boddingtons, Tetleys, etc I mean, just for example: All that cost less than £50 Rich
  16. the only thing I'd say about asking other people to reccomend pads is that everyone wants something different from a brake and only you kow what you'll want for yourself. Look at Rowan Johns for example; arguably one of the greatest street riders this country has ever produced, still using standard black pads on a smooth rim. Works for him. Pad reviews thread is your best bet, have a gander through there and see what tickles your fancy. Rich
  17. Looks like I'm out unfortunately unless anyone's at the hampshire comp on sunday and is willing to give me a place to crash. Sorry to start a thread and not follow through. Taunton on tuesday if anyones up for it. Rich
  18. I know the D521 was discontinued a while ago, but I'm fairly sure Mavic just rebranded it as something else (or at least something very similar). Anyone happen to know what it is? Rich
  19. Nice one Tom, you'll enjoy it Terrys number is 02380643503. Give him a buzz and ask very nicely and he should let you enter on the day (well, he's letting me!) Rich
