  1. Yo, new video shot over the last three weeks of me on the Limey. Quite short but lots of footage packed in. Am working on a slightly better quality version to put on vimeo, for now though, youtube all the way: EDIT: Vimeo Link with Download Option Big thanks to Aimee, Lauren, Craig, Andy and Luke for the footage they filmed. Footage is from Barnstaple, Bristol, Hound Tor (Dartmoor), Ivybridge, Verwood and Exeter (demo). Big, big thanks to my sponsor Andrei Burton for supporting me this year, and also to Joe at Onza for helping me out. Much love dudes. Hope y'all enjoy, all comments welcome. Rich
  2. Please use the Best of the Internet thread in Chit-Chat for topics of this nature.
  3. I'm there. Is anyone 1) planning to ride anywhere on Saturday 2) interested in housing for the night one Mr. Pearson......
  4. Mongoose have got to be so, so, soooooooo happy with everything this man does They must literally be like "Well, we just don't need to support any other riders, Chris can promote everything. And do it immensely well!" Am with Luke 100%, that was just excellent. Rich
  5. I am definitely interested in this
  6. I was recently approached by internet TV producers MyCornwallTV, who asked if I would like to be profiled as a professional trials rider living in Cornwall. I was frankly shocked when they used the word professional so many times.... Either way, they very kindly put together a short 3 minute profile film on me with some stock footage shot over the winter on my old phase and we shot an interview in the local skatepark, just thought y'all might be interested Link All comments welcome, we're working on new episodes right now so any constructive criticism more than welcome. Cheers Rich
  7. Yeah like I said on Facebook, we'll probably be up for it dude
  8. The distance is immaterial in terms of what going there actually means. I'd also like to point out that last years ride wasn't the last because of money or anything else like that. Having spoken to Sue and Charlie on the day, I'd say the reason's for not running the event again came much more from the heart than the wallet. Whatever happens I'm in, although I'd agree Abingdon is pretty small for a lot of riders. Rich
  9. Sweet Tom, you gonna make it on the Saturday as well then?
  10. Howdy, First round of the Hampshire comps is on the 14th, so thought it wouldn't be a bad idea to get over Portland Bill way for a ride the day before to get some practice in Anyone else is welcome to come along and have a bash, should be a good laugh. 11ish in wherever the usual place is, I'm sure someone will suggest something.... Rich
  11. Morning all, New video shot last night in Truro, just some clips of me getting used to the new frame. A lot of stuff thats been featured in previous vids, nothing new really. As can be seen in the video I'm supported this year by two companies, Andrei Burton Events and Onza Bikes. A little further information about both: Andrei Burton as many people know is one of the top trials riders in the world and one of the most professional. Having spent years as a professional demo rider, Andrei is expanding his shows to more than just him riding, bringing in new trials riders such as myself and other extreme sport performers, to create a new show format that he is very successfully producing under the name of Andrei Burton Events. Having known Dre for a good 6-7 years, I've been lucky enough to secure a deal as a session rider for the 2010 season, and through Andrei being supported by Onza, have been blessed with a nice bit of product support from them. Having had a chat with Joe (Poyzer), I feel I'd like to clear up that I am NOT "sponsored" as some people may call it, as Joe did not feel he'd be able to commit to taking on another rider with 1) quite a few riders on the team already and 2) Joe working extremely hard on many other projects at the moment, which leaves him precious time for Onza. He has however very kindly sorted me out with a deal which helps us all out, and in return I'm helping show his brand off a bit. Some of the more astute of you will also have cottoned on that I'm no longer riding for M.A.D. Nothing I really want to say except I owe M.A.D an enormous debt for giving me my first opportunity as a full time professional rider over last summer for which I am incredibly grateful, and leaving the team was not a decision I came to easily. I had an amazing time riding with the team, best of luck to all the boys still with M.A.D and any new riders they pick up; they've already been out to Mumbai and Bahrain this year the lucky sods! Sorry for the big explanation, I half considered putting a news topic up but thought that might be a little pretentious doing one for myself Just wanted to clear up exactly what I'm doing this year as there's been a lot of talk of sponsors flying around this year so far. Hopefully the next vid will be a little longer and a bit more lively, and hopefully I'll be able to get back into my old routine of producing roughly monthly videos like the ST ones. Cheers for all the comments so far, all welcome, keep 'em coming, Rich
  12. Yeah, because Cornwall is a foreign country... Just kidding.... Nah, I admit I was relatively optimistic but I have no doubt every application including my own were taken 100% seriously and given proper deliberation, and the reasons I or anyone else didn't get in will have been totally reasonable. I may fire Adam a phone call just to enquire out of sheer curiosity what it was that I was lacking, but still, no bad blood in anyway Congrats to all who got on the team and can't wait to see how it shapes up this year. TB team group ride video would be awesome to see Rich
  13. Don't worry dude, so did I
  14. Hey buddy, good choice on coming down to study in Cornwall, you won't regret it As a few people have said I've been down here for a few years now living in Penryn (although I am considering making the move to Falmouth fairly soon). I could write enormous amounts about the riding down here, but put simply; if you drive and have a car, you won't get bored. If you don't, there is still plenty to ride if you know where to look. There isn't a massive amount of riders down this way, but myself and Dan still try and get out 2-3 times a week either around falmouth or a bit further afield, and there are other riders around like Kieran and Matt. In terms of the riding itself -> Apart from the stuff on cotton reels and skips, and maybe 2/3 shots of Bristol, all of that video was shot within 15-20miles of where I live in Penryn And theres a lot more around. On a side note; I hope you like to drink. The CSM boys are f**king nuts for it Add me on facebook or summat and give us a shout when you're down and we'll go for a ride/pint Rich
  15. Weather update: The weather looks BOLLOCKS..... But I'm awake now anyway. See y'all there Rich
  16. Can someone point me in the direction of somewhere I can SAFELY download an ACU form from? The ACU website keeps crashing my browser for some reason and the one on the HBTC is for 2009 any help anyone? Also, is there a finalised set of dates for this year up yet? Rich
  17. Might be a repost, but some awesome, AWESOME lines being pulled by this guy on his Limey. Vimeo Rich
  18. I've always liked your videos Sam. As someone once said about mine, "theres something very honest about your riding." Awesome stuff, probably the best so far. Keep up the good work. Rich
  19. Dislocating or breaking a bone is relatively non-painful because bone's 1) Don't have a great deal of nerve tissue connected to them so you generally won't feel anything and 2) bone's aren't ligaments or tendons, which when you sprain them hurt like f**k because they ARE connected to your nerves and pain receptors. Bones are also relatively easy to heal, whereas ligaments are extremely complex muscles which take a lot of time and physio to fix. Rich
  20. Anyone need a lift up from Kernow way? Kieran/Billy?
