well I prefer the look of the bmx way, but the other way is easier.

4 bolt forks tend to be pretty weak though, he isn't the only rider who goes through them quickly.

it's just saying that just because he's a world champion means they get the best testing, I think that may not be true. Plus he is (currently) junior world champ so that won't be as harsh on forks as the elite routes (I do know he is capable of the elite routes before you say). To be World champ you have to have some pretty dialled techniques and ride in an efficient way. I think that wouldn't be as much of a test as someone who doesn't have as good technique and relies on forcing the bike around with brute force. As Dave said too, falling off can be pretty brutal on forks, I bet there are riders out there that fall off more than Jack does. Don't get me wrong, I think these forks are pretty good, if you run a front magura forks generally don't last long and if you don't want the weight of Trialtechs then the Karbons are a good (if pricy) option.

so did I, looks great to see so many different places in the vid, roadtriaps are amazing! Riding was great especially the rail combos at the end.

sounds like you are doing possibly three things wrong. 1) coming in too perpendicular to the wall 2) not lying the bike flat enough to grip the wall 3) having the front wheel too high I find around 45 degrees gives a good angle to get grip on the wall, but sometimes it will just bounce you off rather than carving it, have a play around and see how you get on. Make sure your front wheel isn't too much higher than the rear, this doesn't work too well (and my main problem) Make sure you lay the bike over as you hit the wall

because I don't ride comps nor do I ever want to ride front magura and riding it for street would be silly as I obviously need a mile long steerer to run all the spacers I need

I Think the weight difference is around 10 grams if you only have one side done, might even be less than that. The radial pattern shouldn't really be effecting the truing of the wheel anyway, just work in small amounts and take it from there. Your rim may also be actually bent which could explain your problems, but 3x wouldn't make this much different to fix.

I've never met Harry nor seen much about him, but from my experience, riders who only ride ramps, are good and covered in tattoos and piercings (note, not hating on either of those individually) tend to have a big personality which is usually loud and garish. So it wouldn't surprise me to find Harry is a bit of a knob too. I have a friend who used to have a blog and on that blog he once said the company Mark rides for tended to re-brand components from Taiwan. Mark saw this and threatened to beat up my friend (or something like this). It's been a while since I chatted with him and some details on the actual threat may be different.

not quite. The caliper is very similar, but is forged rather than cnced like the Hope one, they do use the same size piston and seals though. The difference in power is due to the lever having a 14mm piston (rather an a 8 or 9mm in the hope) they do compensate for that by placing the lever pivot closer to the piston to give a higher leverage ratio though. The Echo rotors are also made out of a harder metal which means they take a long time to bed in.

indeed, looking good I already prefer your riding on a bigger bike. The Stem doe look low though, your back is quite flat at times, I know you said you like the stem, but I really don't think it will do you any harm putting a higher one on there.
