  1. the trials scene is definitely bigger than it was, just fewer people enter comps.
  2. just had a look at the entry form and noticed that, sounds ideal. Still a little unsure if my Elite status from past comps still stands or if it has expired though.
  3. I've not really been following the comp series recently but last night for some reason I really fancy riding a national round again. Apologies to you Barbara I do always seem to be a little hassle when it comes to comps, I am very spontaneous when it comes to riding (I decided at 7pm on new years eve that I wanted to ride Portsmouth so I drove for 4 hours that night to go there for example) so please don't think I'm doing it on purpose as I really don't wish to add more work for you. I've printed off a form however I do have one question. Back in the day I was seeded to yellow rout, however my skills on natural have corroded somewhat and I am pretty sure yellow will be too hard. Am I allowed to ride red? If not what if I rode "out of class"? I'll ride yellow if I have to so it's no problem, I'm not entering to win anyway, it's all just for fun. Thanks Ali
  4. there just isn't very many people who want to do comps I think. Current comp entries seem to be at an all time low yet there seem to be more riders than ever. I did comps for about 12 years and it was cool, but I don't think a lot of UK riders like the idea of paying to stand around in the middle of nowhere.
  5. I liked the post about losing seats
  6. get sponsored by Redbull and you'll get one, otherwise tough luck.

    Brake Fail!

Have you had any punctures recently? When you take your tyre off and put it back on you generally get some release agent from the tyre on your rim, which basically makes your brake go dick.
  8. let us know how that goes, I would be annoyed too.
  9. I am a little bias but Inspired easily have every other company beaten when it comes to quality.
  10. what do I think? I think it's bloody brilliant! Looks as good if not better than most hand made frames some top companies sell, Ris is a lucky guy
  11. Nice one Ben, some ballsy moves going on in there, looks like you're riding well brakeless
  12. longer chainstays and low bb will make the front end harder to pull up amongst other things. Get those bars tilted back too.
  13. I'll one better that, I hope he kidnaps you and uses you as a sex slave. I should point out that I think he's a horrible person and sex slaves are not cool...cool?
  14. you will when you realize how good Inspired's are and not have as much limitations
  15. everyone's bar angles suck
  16. I will not be supporting this cause......
  17. I have a trialtech square hole rim on the front, trialtech SL rim on the rear, using lgm's front and rear with light grinds and there working spot on for me. Edit This is from cap, Ali doesn't seem to be able to log out of anything when he uses a computer

    Found On U Tube

    not this again.....
  19. you don't really need to go for bigger stuff unless you want to, I think if you carry on but just really try and get on top of stuff rather than "accept" just getting to both wheels or hanging the back wheel off the edge of things. I think if you put a little more power in and get stuff confidently to rear wheel it would look a little better, going for bigger stuff would be cool but there would be more chance that you wouldn't get right to the top of walls still.
  20. Reino Unido I'm assuming it's something that Tarty don't have in?
  21. the UK will be called something else in other languages, find out what language the site is and search what they call our country.
  22. It always amuses me when people say higher bars are "worse" for rear wheel use. Trials bikes are NOT hard to back hop, especially if it has such a short back end and high bb as the Echo 24". I am a big fan of high front ends, they are more comfy when actually riding, they usually make the rider more stylish (as they can just lift the front up rather than have to use pedal strokes and they are not riding around with their back flat to the floor) and they generally feel a lot nicer.
  23. Editing seemed good and riding was pretty controlled however the one thing that would have made it that little bit better for me is if you were to put a little more effort into some of the moves. I don't mean that in a slating kind of way, I mean in places rather than just accepting being able to go to both wheels with (what looks like) minimum effort, it would be nice to see a little more aggression and have to go to rear wheel (like the hooks and wheel swap off the wooden board). But yeah, a little more aggression would really make a difference I think.
