I agree with the 6 month shelf life of Hopes, I must have had about 10 Hope mono trials now and they all were great for a few months, then just go downhill and changing pads, rotors, bleeds would make never them work as well as they did when new. As for the Marta, Stan had one on the front of his bike and it was pretty good, one of the most powerful brakes I have felt actually. I think he's had a couple of leak issues but Magura seemed to changed them for him. The only thing is that Stan never really falls off, after a year of riding his rotor still didn't rub, so I can't comment on their strength.

looks fine to me, as does the chain wrap, however it still only leaves 7 teeth in contact with the chain, it could well be the hub though, it's not unheard of for them to break, just very rar, especially when they are this young.

It's not about how 'tight' it's wrapped, it's about how many teeth on the sprocket come into contact with your chain. If you get a photo up that'd make it pretty clear straight away...

Pro 2 T or Pro 2 Evo T hubs aren't built with that grease at all.

Is that the same friend who told Neon that his bike got stolen which was why he couldn't get any photos or videos of him riding it?

I'm a little sceptical about the 12 tooth rear cog

the trials hubs don't come with grease, they come oiled so you shouldn't need to do that.

without being rude and calling you a liar, but are you sure it's the hub? It seems very rare that the Hope hubs skip. what tensioner are you running? Much chain wrap around the cog?
