  1. yeah, some obvious improvement on the new bike, more flowy and less relying on pedal kicks. Edit was good too, nice work guys
  2. yeah currently running BMX cranks (through no reason other than I like the look of BMX cranks and the reliability, not to do with the type of bb). I'm using spline drive and yeah, there are no bashrings that fit, so I go without one. Been fine so far although I did bend the sprocket slightly when I failed the gap (the one in the bloopers).
  3. I didn't find trials-forum.....trials-forum found me!

    Geo Help

would keep it individual, you'll get some haters, but I think it would be awesome!
  5. Chris Akrigg is my fave, he's just an amazing bike handler. I'll also take time out of my busy schedule to watch videos from Flip, Sean Watson, Ashton, Rowan Johns, Mark W, Danny Mac any anyone else creative and stylish.

    Geo Help

tell Josh to make it pivotal seat compatible
  7. Thanks for the comments guys, also thanks to Mark for driving, filming and editing! As for the bike, Geo is a secret while in testing, wouldn't want a rival company to snake us and bring out a bike first (known to happen). Ross was pretty much on the ball with the spec, bars are NS Proof bars (slightly lower than the disctricts, but lighter). To be replaced with Inspired bars when I receive them.

    Best Helmet Ever?

yeah, f**k doing a backflip wearing that
  9. I think it's unlikely to last 3 days riding as I think it's unlikely you'll actually be able to fit it to a bike.
  10. interesting fact, a Mondraker Foxy was perhaps the worst bike I have ridden and possibly the bike I've had the most rear punctures with. Setup probably had a lot to do with it, but the back wheel just didn't seem to want to get up and over rocks......does that bike have much of a rearward axle path?
  11. All the other bikes I rode seemed to be really slow over bumps and rocks, they didn't really seem to react to much rider input (like pumping stuff, or kickers etc). The 5 was the opposite, it almost seemed to speed up over bumps and it reacts really well to pumping and kicking off rocks and roots. The difference was like day and night! The only downside is the chain can be noisy on the swingarm, people usually bodge some form of protection (I have an old Trialtech grip glued on). I also went single ring with a chain device on the front and that helped too. I wish I had the newer versions with the longer toptube though, I do feel a little cramped on the climbs at times (small frame).
  12. I think a pivotal would be cool, bit much to experiment though
  13. Orange 5 AM version, I test rode loads of bikes and nothing impressed me other than this bike. I've entered XC and DH races on it and it's been great at both.
  14. gahh, I hate the whole "setting a bad example" argument!
  15. a 2 year old clip, not going to be used for anything so thought I'd put it here

    Bmx Racing

plenty of face grinding going on! Can see why full face is a rule.

    Avid Bb7

The road ones have a shorter "arm" as road lever pull less cable than mtb levers, the shorter arm stops the brake from feeling mushy. to use the road calliper with a mtb lever would not be as powerful as a mtb calliper.
  18. yeah, 232 rings a bell. I should remember, I've built enough of them!
  19. 235 rear 3 cross 228 front disc 2 cross/ 230 front non disc radial (I think anyway, would be worth getting a second opinion)
  20. I'm loving all the positivity the games has surrounding it, for once the country seems happy and there is a patristic vibe going on.
  21. Turns out I had a split in a pipe to do with my turbo, I'm so happy right now
  22. Caustic soda doesn't touch steel so the spokes will be fine. I've done wheels before, all I did was mix a batch of caustic soda and use a toothbrush to brush it on the rim/hub, leave for a few moments and wipe off with a rag/clean water. don't worry about going over the same bit twice, it may make the alloy go a funny colour, but a bit of wire wool will bring it to a decent finish.
  23. it has got a turbo, I looked for any lose pipes but it was dark and the engine layout makes it tricky to see. the power hasn't totally come back, but it is weird. I also thought about the clutch, but it changes gears as well as it's ever done. I would have thought it would have been pretty noticeable if the clutch was playing up.
