  1. lets say a certain frame that I may be riding may or may not not have vertical dropouts and a rear disc and I definitely never havn't not had any problems without sliding disc mounts.

  3. you're weird Edit, in the sense that you went and emailed them when you already knew the answer? Everyone said the answer and riders sponsored by Trialtech told you the answer?
  4. I can't imagine something like that would be cheap!!
  5. I only got that as I hate coffee but still want the occasional caffeine hit, so shut your yap! (it does taste like shit though!) I'm far too lazy to go down the whole diet/nutrition route, seems like a lot of effort. I do wish I cared enough to do something about it though, I can imagine the benefits would be pretty good.
  6. Trials like other people has dictated my whole way of life, it's also helped me with confidence.....let me explain. I've mentioned somewhere before that I had quite a tricky childhood and in my teens I was diagnosed with aspergers (a type of Autism). This meant that I couldn't/wouldn't interact with anyone I didn't know, so going to the shops, catching public transport and going to school was so stressful that I outright refused to do it. Since getting into trials, I've become much more outgoing, I needed to overcome my fear of talking to people in order to do what I loved, I would get on trains to go on rides and talk to new people because they shared the same interest. I even caught planes on my own to go to comps in new countries, quite a difference from someone who just a few years earlier wouldn't even catch a bus to the next town! Riding bikes has also decided what cars I've owned and helped me venture out and move away from my parents, all my friends ride bikes and all the jobs I've had have been connected to cycling. so yeah, trials has really changed my life.
  7. I would love to make a pair myself, looks really satisfying
  8. I miss read your post and thought it was about freewheels and jeans. I have no idea how you got in your chainstays? Must be really baggy jeans?
  9. this is another reason why rear freehubs rule for street riding
  10. nice we need to ride again asap!
  11. that was pretty cool! Amazing manual control he has.
  12. what he's getting at is that if you use a steeper head angle, you can then use a shorter stem (which looks better) while keeping the same reach. The only issue would be getting the correct bar height as the shorter the stem, the lower is usually is. You could use a longer head tube and headset spacers to get the same bar height as a mod stem though, also a lower bb would mean the bars wouldn't have to be as high but you will sacrifice rear wheel control. I've always wondered why trials bike have slack head angles and super long stems, why not make the head angle steeper, lengthen the reach and use a shorter stem? If your hands end up in the same position then the head angle won't feel any steeper for roll downs, but it will feel nicer when turning.
  13. pretty sure they've got the geo mixed up with the mod, not even saying that as a joke, I actually think that's what has happened.

I had someone tell me that once, I had a go on their bike and I had them slip out when I tried to backwheel a wall. I think he thought they were good because they had lots of bite and made a loud noise,

tgs is different than pure trials....but whatever. Sweet vid Tom
  17. It's not the bar angle, the front end just looks soooo low! I think your style and riding would be vastly improved with a higher front end. As it is, you're really hunched over which looks really weird.
  18. the only thing similar is the wheelbase, even a couple of mil out on anything else will make it ride completely differently.
