Caustic soda won't touch it. You need to be patient with the nitromoors, it's not as good these days so it take a lot more time. If worst came to worst you could take it to a commercial paint place, they'll have some pretty serious ways of getting that paint off.

The Sky 2 bars were some random one-offs Try-All got made for that batch. They were a little different too in terms of how they were built - they ended up being a bit heavier. The aftermarket ones are like the ones in the studio photo.

that's basically how everyone else measures it? If you've got some old spokes and a tape measure/ruler you can measure it pretty accurately.

you have to do quite fast movements like you're trying to wank off the rim or something, but it does make noise.

did you bolt the tool to the crank/freewheel?

to give another side to this, you can just hold a pad and rub it against a wheel and have it make noise even if the wheel isn't in a frame.

the footage becomes theirs and they are free to use it as they wish no? Plus they've tempted you with a phone that if you want you're going to have to fork out a lot of money for. Instead of (or as well as) commercials costing hundreds of thousands, they just spend a little on some phones and postage and get people to do the hard work. I'm not at all hating on them, it's a clever way of getting their name out there, but personally I would be wanting more (like a free phone if they use your footage or something). But I guess you're right in that not everyone has a camera, so it is a free way to borrow one for a while.

I'm still confused, seems like a cheap way to get advertising for the company, but what's in it for the rider? Unless I'm missing the point and to people interested in tech it's worth it to see how a new(?) model phone feels like?

disc forks sometimes crack around that area because it's a very high stress area, but it will definitely crack there if it has 4 bolt mounts, removing them removes the stress riser and makes the forks stronger.

I disagree, as long as you show you are competent then you should need such qualification.
