  1. perhaps Cytech should do courses on frame geo
  2. worst.geo.ever. Like not even good for anything. Sorry to sound harsh, but if you're really considering that as a feasable idea then I'm lost for words, I still kinda hoping this is a joke and I'm waiting patiently for the punchline.
  3. reliability > light weight Your bike is already lighter than I would ever want to go, you've already sacrificed a lot to get it that weight (well, Luke did). Lighter tyres don't grip or feel as good as heavier tyres etc. All you'll achieve by making it lighter is making it much more unreliable and you won't be able to push your riding in fear of breaking bits, also once you've had a light bike, you'll hate having a heavier bike once you realise that a super light bike isn't practical.
  4. Nothing against barrow farm as I enjoyed it when I was there, but the way you described street sounds pretty fun to me, except replace "wall" with "really cool random shit" (cos London's architecture is pretty nuts). Riding to and from locations is all part of the fun of riding. Plus there is the finding a way to get over something that wasn't designed to be ridden that I find really appealing. Trials parks are "designed" to be ridden, but the problem solving of riding street just can't be beaten (Natural is pretty close though). I do see both of your points though, it's like when I see videos of BMX park riders who travel abroad just to ride an indoor skatepark.......what's the point in that? ramps are all pretty much the same (just different layouts, but a fair on a quarter is still a flair on a quarter) You don't get to see the local way of life, see the sights, smell the smells and find new things to ride like you do when street riding. On the other hand, trials parks are not quite as predictable as skateparks, so they can offer a different experience from other trials parks.
  5. lol 150mm stem on a +90 bb mod......I think I'd almost rather have a scooter. Personally I would go with the highest stem you can get, but that's what it is, personal. a 165mm stem will still be horrible for actually riding, but if you like to backhop then it wouldn't be so bad.
  6. I hate riding in the dark, and cold, and wet, so yeah, my time riding in winter does plummet somewhat.
  7. old, but so good! http://www.eyezmaze.com/grow/v3/index.html
  8. this is one reason why vimeo is better

sweet stuff, the highlight for me was the hop over to nosemanual to manual down the stairs and the wallride to nose bonk over the bench. I still can't believe the size of the drop gap Josh tried in Leeds, the distance was pretty large!
  11. I wondered who would call me out for the name drop, I'm glad it was you Sam, glad it was you.
  12. well, that's not entirely true, in an ideal situation you should be using a rotor with a braking surface the same depth as the pad, plus some rivets on alloy armed rotors hit against some callipers.

    Films!?

I've heard that Prometheus is the first of a 3 film trilogy....I do hope so!
  14. Danny was telling me about this, didn't think it was going up this soon, glad it did though! That was amazing!
  15. not this old thing again! Bike looks sleek! It looked very similar to Mark's old bike (which is a good thing). Can't wait to see it in the flesh....in London....soon
  16. Caustic soda won't touch it. You need to be patient with the nitromoors, it's not as good these days so it take a lot more time. If worst came to worst you could take it to a commercial paint place, they'll have some pretty serious ways of getting that paint off.
  17. The Sky 2 bars were some random one-offs Try-All got made for that batch. They were a little different too in terms of how they were built - they ended up being a bit heavier. The aftermarket ones are like the ones in the studio photo.
