  1. if it's done onto concrete does the person whoever tries to beat it in the future have to do it onto concrete too? I'd be pretty annoyed if I had a record only to be beaten by someone doing it onto grass/padding
  2. yeah, grass with crash mats? Still big though and off a wobbly take off too.
  3. perfectly acceptable banning in my opinion
  4. The Element has catalogue dropouts but I'm pretty sure that's it (excluding cable stops and vee mounts). They tested the original fourplay frame for years with loads of riders and figured they could save money on places like the dropouts which proved to be strong but spend more money on making other areas stronger (one piece bb and yolk). The current frames all have custom droputs, headtubes, bb yolks and disc mounts I believe.
  5. just a pointer that to make a one piece disc mount would bump up the prices of the frames......I'm yet to see a frame brake on the disc mount anyway so I'm not sure it's quite the problem you make it out to be. Quite curious about the dirty secrets too, I've known the guys at Inspired for a long time and I'd say they are one company that do things correctly and avoid situations that would get them in bother.
  6. "You'll get over it" is my usual response to ignorant people. Loving your response though, hate people who belittle the sport.
  7. just a couple of degrees out for me
  8. as a coffee hater I sometimes could do with a caffeine boost and I'll often resort to a redbull. I used to dislike the taste but I'm quite into it now.
  9. I had ridden my old frame and fork for a long time and they were both pretty scratched up so I got some new ones for the summer and unfortunately they couldn't get me any more of the steel forks in time so I just used some teams. My old frame qnd fork are still going strong as my brakeless bike now
  10. CATS, providing hours of entertainment for thousands of years.
  11. Learning to ride on a very trialsy bike could leave a lot of bad habbits that you'll have to un-learn if you ever wanted to take up other types of riding. I always recommend people start on a neutral style bike (shorter, low bb) and really learn how to ride a bike, THEN if you want to get more into comps or TGS the transition will be easy and you'll have more style. It's a lot harder the other way round and you'll not be such a good bike handler.

best looking levers evaaar! I'd almost want to run Maguras for that lever alone....Almost
  13. You can't. You're paying for quality and reliability (both in frame and customer service). I don't want this to turn into a sales pitch but the Arcade has been in testing for over a year to make sure it's worthy to sell. I'm sure Marino is making lovely frames these days but they still won't be at the same quality. You get what you pay for.
  14. no, there is a physical bit of metal in the way.
  15. I've been on an Arcade for just under two years now and I've never had it slip or bend or do anything other than tension the chain........winner
  16. That, plus a 4th in Europe, a world championship win and an 8th placing in a UCI World cup round......175s.......175s
  17. It will look waaaay nicer with the longer tube. Frame would be a little stronger with the longer tube. Frame would be a little heavier with the longer tube.
  18. What an awesome trip that was, been to Czech 5 or 6 times now and always had a good time, especially at Dressler camp Pleasantly surprised by the feedback of my riding, I didn't particularly think my riding was all that great so thanks a lot everyone
