hmm yeah I see your point, I'll have a think about it Might change the gun to a SLR so I'm not directly ripping off the Black Keys and it's a bit more related to me (filming videos)

resized things and added more details, pretty keen on the black keys gun but might change the smoke to snake around things a bit more. Need to add more to the right and something above the feathers I feel. I'll get the tattoo artist to neaten things up a bit too.

tattoos are very personal and the vodka is quite an in-joke so yeah not to everyone's taste but I think it's better than just plucking an image out of a book or a famous iconic one that someone else is likely to have. I want it to have lots going on so people can find new things even if they've seen it before. I've wanted a tattoo for over 5 years but thought I'd sit on the idea and see if I change my mind, I haven't.

I've just started sketching for an arm piece I'm wanting to get it's got a skull similar to The Black Angels (my fave band), got a Yorkshire rose and Scottish Thistle in the head dress as well as the Albion Mag logo (which ties in the nationalities theme too), I've got a caribena in there as I love climbing, a bottle of vodka because that's pretty much the only alcohol I drink, a Tree bike sprocket, an eye patch from Kill Bill (my fave film), the other eye is decorated from an image from art work from Dead Meadow (another band I like), I've got the Inspired Arcade logo in there and my cat I had for 22 years. This is an early sketch so it will probably change quite a bit but I'm happy so far, still not decided on the rope thing, I like it but it might need changing/made better, got plenty I need to add in there too to make it into a sleeve
  10. riding a small council bmx track and tried to 3 a speed hump but the ground wasnt where I thought it was and my front wheel kept on going and I just got sent down hard
  11. post mounts just look gash for how big they need to be. The bike is meant to be ridden for everything, mtbers can be confused with + mounts so just standard IS mounts keeps it simple and you can run 160mm rotors if you're dirt jumping or riding it bmx style and don't need super powerful brakes and don't want to bend massive rotors

    eBay find...

that big hit is missing a couple of vital links in the rear suspension so they've made it up with adjustable struts...bizarre! Plus equals
  13. just to add my bit, I'd consider the Arcade to be the most trialsy, short chainstays, some bb height and a longer front end, it just so happens that what makes a good street geo is pretty similar to what makes good trials geo.
  14. found this one too, complete with wedgie! The Clan - Cycle Stunt Team by duncan_ireland, on Flickr
  15. no pics of 124 sorry, I did 123 years ago when I used to tuck to the right, but I decided to learn to tuck to the left so I could spin better but that meant my hops were a lot lower for over a year, the 124 was at the last demo I did in the Velodrome in Glasgow. here's a pic of a 115cm hop off grass though
  16. Gabe brooks did 125cm on a bmx (harder because they are smaller), Danny and I have done 124cm but I think the world record has Benito down as 145cm as they class a sidehop the same as a bunnyhop (fools!)
  17. Because "pure street" riding is becoming more technical, and so instead of running adapted dirt jump geometry (long back end, really low BB, slack head angle) they're tweaking it to make their bikes more responsive. Even with trials forks bringing the head angle nearer where it is for a Skye, the BB would then be really low. They're not really that similar.
  18. you're doing great Leon, make more vids!
  19. Some people like the looks, me included. You can do seat related stunts if you're that way inclined too.
  20. I think it's more that the geo that makes a bmx good also makes a trialsy bike good (short chainstays, steep head angle, bb rise) the "only" difference is that streety bikes tend to be shorter wheelbased than more compy bikes (and it has a seat)
  21. thanks for the comments guys, pretty shocked it's this popular! Gotta thank Mark for taking the time to film and edit this, much appreciated!
  22. I am not the best example though as I don't tend to notice much (running my levers at different angles, my cranks one spline out and my stem twisted without noticing). Snaked
