  1. I miss the old Vincent http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1RvFmDy-90
  2. I went on a demo day in Scotland once, it was at Laggen which is quite a rocky trail centre, I rode some Santacruzes, Coves, Lappierrs, an Orange 5 and an Orange Blood. I wasn't impressed with any really, all seemed to be really inefficient over the rocks with noticeable decrease in momentum.......all except for the Five. That seemed to speed me up over the bumps, I felt like the wheel was actually moving out of the way and allowing me to pump the downsides. I liked it so much I bought one. The only downside I found was the flexy back end. On one ride I stopped halfway down a descent as I thought I'd snapped the rear axle as the bike felt like it was crabbing loads, everything was fine when I checked. I'd definitely consider getting the stiffest rims possible with it. I've not ridden any full sus bikes for a couple of years now so there may be some amazing bikes out there now, but I'm glad you got an Orange (I like them as a company) and I hope you get on well with it, they are a blast!
  3. I've done it often (I have had my brakes for over two years now and I undo the front regularly to thread through the forks and I've never bled them). Can't say I've noticed air getting in.
  4. make sure the lever is pointing with the hose exiting vertically so that when you undo it no fluid comes out. Cut the hose/thread through forks, reattach and ride.
  5. I prefer the winter olympics to the summer one. Much more exciting sports, more crashes, more speed, more interesting. The Alpine skiing is nuts, Ariels, slope style, ski jumping, toboggan, half pipe are all pretty cool. Couldn't really care less about ice skating, hokey or curling though. There's baby jumps for ski jumping, still a little scary but they're only jumping like 3 meters or something so not too bad, then they build up to bigger and bigger jumps.
  6. phone in forward foot leg pocket with screen facing leg, worked for me for 2 years, then I accidently put it in my left pocket and I smashed the screen.

    holy low front end!
  10. there are some pretty idiotic comments about this on Facebook, but the fact is Sean is a dude who knows what he's doing and it's unfortunate this one went wrong. Such a cool line though and I'm so impressed he brushed off a crash that harsh!
  11. I think grip and stability is more important than bounce though. I've had similar ideas to this before but this is a lightly more advanced version, I'm intrigued
  12. I won't make her do all the work, I might drive a little. She can cook though!
  13. Exactly right? Cheers for the tips guys, I wanted to surprise her with the tickets but she will know more about it than me so it might be best to ask her which she wants to go to. I'll just draw some fake tickets then let her book/buy/organise it
  14. I've always wanted to go to this and I've met a girl who is into it and moto GP (Guy Martin is her hero). I'm looking into tickets and I know nothing about the event so I'm wondering if anyone has been before and has any recommendations? I see the normal tickets are pretty cheap which is cool but are any of the VIP ones worth looking at? There's one at £180 which seems cool as if gives you access to places and the chance of bumping into the racers (I think she'd go nuts if there was a chance of meeting Guy). But if they are a waste of money I'll not bother. Also what date is it? The vip one just says "monday or Saturday" but not an actual clear date. I'll be driving over in the van and I thought it would save money by sleaping in it (romantic eh?) Any other tips or advice would be great, cheers
  15. I'm surprised, it did nothing for me at all. Definitely seen videos of Benito in the past that have had more of a wow factor than this.
  16. I am too, just been on a date but had to bail! The lass seemed cool (if a little fatter than expected) but things took a downward spiral when we went to a club of her choice which was shit, she then seemed to be a on a mission to get me as wasted as possible and throw up (she was denied) and calling me a pussy for not drinking as much as normal folk.....no thanks, I'm off!

    24" rims

let your pads wear to the curve, it's only gentle, I had it like that on my hex for years

it is, I've done it before
  19. wut, get a working disc and of course you could (if you had the skill etc)
  20. people would and do (not restricted to front maguras)
  21. the colours in that first pic, so good! Also good is the fact Danny runs a front disc.....front rim brakes really are awful
  22. I can see skateparks being filled with these, so much flow
