  1. Story is my GF got in contact with a personal trainer at the gym and paid for 4 sessions. This was at the beginning of the year and he's only given her one and completely messed her about regarding the remaining three (agreeing to meet at 7am three times and not showing at any of them, ignoring messages and calls). The three sessions are worth £80 and he's ignoring all her messages asking for a refund. Any idea hows the best way to get her money back? I know the name of the guy, his phone number, works facebook account and the gym he operates out of and potentially his address (same building complex as me oddly). I'd rather not get involved personally (incase it makes the situation worse) but if she has all that info what can be done that's going to be the least drama? If he refuses any ideas on how to totally f**k him up and inconvenience him with all the above info? Cheers
  2. yeah, big stuff but I think he'd benefit from less extreme bars style wise.

    Lurkers!

I lurk and occasionally post. I rarely watch videos or care about what's the in the current trials market though. I only post if I can be helpful, troll or like a video. I think I was originally member number 50 from the original forum, been on here for ~15 years or so (if it counts when it was the bashguard forum?)

    Films!?

saw Godzilla with Cocky last night, it was different to what I was expecting, not necessarily in a good way.
  5. just use standard nipples, I swear by alloy ones for a better build.
  6. I can totally see that if you're new to trials then high bb is the norm. I started in the 90s when everyone rode standard mtb frames with considerable bb drop and I saw bikes evolve (shorter chainstays, then seatless, then bb rising then wheelbase lengthening) till we came to modern bikes which hardly resemble bikes at all. I couldn't get used to high bb bikes, I found them more difficult to ride than low ones but I'm in the minority. I'm glad the streetier side of trials came back as I'd be pretty stuffed with the current range of frames out there (I'd have to go custom). I totally prefer how low bb bikes ride but for static rear wheel moves and technical natural (extra ground clearance) and I can see high bb being the advantage.
  7. a bunnyhop gap at a school between shows....13ftish airing the jump
  8. I had Tactic bars before I got my Arcade bars and I bent them in a few months.....just sayin.
  9. Pretty sure that wasn't his initial plan but it turned out well
  10. only thing I found with the deore brakes is the amount of pad wobble. It was unbearable for me.
  11. I re-learnt things because I became aware of the whole goofy thing (thanks Mark!) and I wasn't happy doing stuff goofy knowing I could do something about it. Like my hops......I used to hop and tuck to my sidehop side of my bike which was effective at getting height but meant I couldn't 180 at any decent height as I was spinning the other way by then. I forced myself to tuck to the other side and my hops went really shit for a few months, but now they are back to the same height but with the added bonus of being able to 180 stuff pretty high too. Other people probably don't feel the same and are happy to carry on regardless but in my mind I was effectively "cheating" at some stuff and I couldn't accept doing it. I've shot myself in the foot in a way as I struggle doing a lot of things that could easily be done goof (and I'm currently trying to teach myself to downside footjam whip the correct way which is proving tricky). I feel people are thinking I'm making up rules to ride by which I'm not, go ride your bike anyway you want but some riders might not know the whole goofy thing and if they are like me might want to do something about it.
  12. if you got a foot out moto style then that's cool, otherwise its just a corner.
  13. which foot forward are you and which way did you corner?
  14. 1:45 is awesome! Like Mark says, I hope this doesn't turn into modern art fag style bike film. If it's more like the Earthed style filming I'll be pleased.
  15. Vaults are the nicest feeling pedals I've tried but the axle doesn't give me much confidence. The new V12s could be a good option when they are out but they are a little on the heavy side. I've got some Hope pedals and I'm super impressed with the build quality, the size and the weight, but the grip isn't up there with the best (lack of concave and rounded tipped pins don't help) My go-to pedals are Inspireds, they have slight concave, not too heavy and the axles/bodies have survived a lot, a couple more pins wouldn't go amiss and maybe a touch more concave would be nice. I've tried some of the super thin pedals with the larger in-board bearing but found the "hump" of the bearing was unbearable. My foot always ends up on it and it was just uncomfortable.
  16. the lack of any concave on modern mtb pedals concerns me.
  17. I'm not coming, you guys don't have to worry about the rules, it doesn't really count if you don't do twists.
  18. goofy is just doing things the "wrong way". Like standing on a snowboard right foot forward rather than left or spinning towards your good foot as your preferred way rather than towards your bad foot like most people (especially in BMX). Not to be confused with doing things "opposite" which is when you spin the "correct" way normally, but change it up by spinning the opposite way to make it harder. Trials tends to make people spin goofy, it did with me. The whole sidehopping to the bad foot side makes you tuck on the other side of the bike which naturally makes you want to twist the bike that way in hops....same with pedal kicks, it's a hell of a lot easier to pedal kick (in gaps or spins) towards your good foot side. I spent about a year re-learning to tuck to the other side of the bike and spin the other way as I think it looks better and helps with 360s and manual 180s and a whole lot more. The only thing is that it makes 360 pedal kick drops a lot harder (Like Vasha does) and I really wish I could do those.
  19. yeah that would be cool Ross, nice one
  20. saw this on FB and I was blown away with the size of stuff and the east of how you did them...impressed!
  21. sweet vid guys Where in town was this filmed? I didn't recognise any of it. I also put the gloves in my back pocket, it's just somewhere to put them if you don't have a bag.
