  1. bmx bars are pretty heavy though, on a bigger bike like this with brakes and heavier tyres and stuff it all adds up. I think it looks better than long stems with forward bars still On to the bike though, it's super clean looking! Love the colour too. From personal experience a long stem (90mm+) on a steep head angled bike makes them a bit too twitchy for me, Ive jack knifed my bike a few times when trying different stems. If that works for you then all is well though, just if you find carving for spins a bit odd you could just try a slightly shorter stem and see if that helps. Make a vid BTW
  2. I think I'm too used to having nice shiny trials parts I'd struggle to enjoy a cheaper bike
  3. The thing is I really despise the MTB world. I don't like the industry and I don't like MTBers (well, not all of them). The act of riding through the hills is all fine but you've got to be able to afford to spend a few grand on a bike (for something decent) then the maintenance of it plus any clothing the industry tells you that you must own.......it's not cheap!
  4. Thats one reason why I stopped riding comps and went more street
  5. I've been bouldering a fair bit
  6. Don't know if it's just a phase I'm going through but I feel my love for bikes fading. I've not wanted to touch my bike since September now, it's a nice day out yet nothing about me wants to go for a ride.
  7. People who type "alot" rather than "a lot".
  8. I love Sean's riding and his approach to videos, this doesn't have a load of riding in it but he still manages to pull something unique out of the bag [post=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8mcYFrOr1s#t=31]
  9. I always watch Bmx videos (more than trials ones) and I base my riding on Bmx quite a bit. I've tried to adapt the flow, lack of hops, some tricks, lack of bitch cranks and the in written rules of spinning regular rather than goofy.
  10. Am I the only one who doesn't find their girlfriend annoying at all?
  11. https://vimeo.com/66473915 I'm not easily impressed, but this did the job

  13. If that's aimed at my reply then bear in mind I wasn't telling him how to ride, I didn't say what I said to make him feel bad, I didn't say what I said to make me feel good. I said what I said to try and help him. He can either take my advice and find he doesn't gain from it and go back to how he is and that's fine, he could try my advice and have a revelation and find he has way more control, which case that's brill! He could ignore it too but if you don't try things then who knows what being missed. I'm not disagreeing with your comment but it's suggesting you misinterpreted the meaning behind mine.
  14. I'm talking from my competition experience as well as my streety stuff, I'd run my bars rolled back even if I was entering the UCI worlds.
  15. You get my respect for riding those logs and lines, not many people would be out there doing that. I do have to say something though and I really hope you don't take offence to it, but you really don't suit rolled bars. Your body position is really obviously being compromised by how forward they are. Your elbows are up above your head at some point, that's not a natural position and you'll be losing control. Feel free to tell me to do one but I've definitely seen this before and you'd really benefit from rolling your bars back and getting your body into a more relaxed position....trust me.
  16. I'm seriously rating the new DMR V12s, finally a decent sized pedal WITH CONCAVE!!! MTBers seemed too obsessed with having he slimmest pedals possible and forgot about concave and how good it feels and how much extra grip it gives. So yeah, V12s are really good!
  17. Listen kid, you're quite the idiot. I'm not going to try and explain things again as I'm blatantly wasting my time.
  18. I told you why it's not 20mm The console is 10mm because it is the cheaper version of the arcade, why you find this so hard to comprehend is beyond me, you must be an idiot.
  19. plus I never said the V4 was shit, I just said it's not as good as a Saint. Video was cool, what gear was he running? Looks light!

    Hooks

I look back at my riding in that and I cringe mostly

    Hooks

this is an example of trying to get your weight as far forward as possible, because I did that, the second part of the hook was no effort. Thats the mindset needed for hooks.....you really need to commit! 57 seconds:

    Hooks

I'd still recommend bunnyhopping into a hook if youre riding street, it just looks way better and you can do them brakeless and into a manual if it goes really well.

    Hooks

I'd say from memory (not done a pedal type hook for about 5 years now) that the backwheel isn't doing much in the way of grip, it's more hitting the wall and kinda rebounding off it while you quickly use the the flex from the forks with the front brake locked to generate a more upwards momentum ()as well as your body moving up) while you pivot on the front wheel and then swap to rear. I'm hopeless at explaining but hopefully that makes a bit of sense
