    black work II

something with the headset? Doesn't look like it has any cups....has it been milled to take internal bearings?
  2. My point was that shitting yourself is highly unpleasant no matter your ability, just because I'm able bodied doesn't mean I should stand there and void myself if there's a perfectly good toilet in the disabled one.
  3. say that to the designers of the Velodrome in Glasgow! Given the choice I'd obviously go to a standard toilet, I'd use the disabled one if the standard one wasn't available.
  4. My dad is a tree surgeon, he's self employed and usually works alone or employs someone to help if it's a bigger job. I've worked for him a few times, I don't have any chainsaw experience so I was only ever doing ground/rope work. I can't say I enjoyed the work that much, but it was a lot better than other jobs I've done. Trees can be bastards, they love to scratch you and poke you in the eye at any opportunity, you end up stinking of moss and general greenery by the end of the day and ropes WILL catch and knot on any little branch it see fits. Saying that, it's a good work out, its satisfying seeing a completed job and watching the bigger branches fall. I imagine working up the tree to be more rewarding but there are more risks obviously. My Dads never hurt himself with the saw but he was pulled out of a tree when his rope got snagged and he fractured his pelvis.
  5. Disabled toilets are unisex, Ladies toilets are not. Obviously I'll use standard toilets where possible, but if I'm really needing to piss or take a crap I don't see how that's much different from anyone of any ability desperately needing to take a piss or a crap so I'll use a disabled toilet if that's the option given to me.
  6. I used disabled ones all the time, I don't think it's bad. I see them as just a toilet that happens to be accessible to wheelchairs, not exclusive to them.
  7. So does cutting corners while racing but it doesn't make it right
  8. The "proper" way to footjam whip is as you've said, forward foot goes over the frame and onto tyre and at the same time the back foot kicks the frame around. This is the BMX way and how it's done brakeless. The other way (that 99% of trials riders do it) is to do a braked front pivot and then put the back foot on the tyre and let the bike swing around from the momentum. I'm not a fan of the second way, in my head it's a bit cheating and is a shortcut way of getting it done. People seem to think that the end result (of any move) is the goal, but I always try to explain that it's HOW you do something that's as important as actually landing something (which is why goofy spinning annoys me).
  9. I think that may have been my original plan but the dip in the shape of the tree was too harsh to let me, the tree was very steep too, I don't have legs like Ben so I couldn't have powered up it anyway
  10. Not quite sure what you mean by that first one, the second idea may be possible though, I'll have a try sometime. I'm running a 22t up front, I've just made myself a BB mounted bash guard to give as much clearance in hooks as possible.
  11. Thanks, that line (I call it a nollie to rail ride) is my fave too, I'd never seen anyone do that before and I'd wanted to get in on camera for a year, it took us a few days to get it due to fading light, police, rain etc but I'm glad we kept at it
  12. yeah, if I could afford to travel more I'd definitely be riding some different places for sure!
  13. thanks for all the comments guys, I'm pleased to see how well it's been accepted
  14. Are you actually Jaden Smith? http://deadstate.org/here-are-21-of-jaden-smiths-dumbest-tweets/
  15. think I'm experiencing some now
  16. I tried the SRAMs and I loved the lever and lack of pad wobble but I found them under powered with the standard pads, I'd try sintered if I was to try them again. They would work for street but saints are more powerful from my experience
  17. I tried a set of 5" S&M bars with a 60mm top loading profile stem, it worked but it's just not as nice
  18. I've not really had much issues with Hope stems slipping, but be aware that because of the lower angle a 70mm Hope stem is still a similar length to steeper "longer" stems
