    Disc Cable

I just got some clarks stainless cable this morning (for my bmx) its the smoothest, flexiest cable I have ever felt! This is with no lube or anything. I turned the cable through tight bends but it still slid butterly smooth. With some wd40 in there I cant imagien a smoother cable!
  2. that blue frame in Akkers pic is actually a GT Hans Rey model, mongoose didnt have a frame for chris in time (for that demo at least).

I founf my avid was the best brake I have ever used for down hill duties, it never faded at all and you should see how steep the hill are around here!! Maybe it depends how you bed them in, I did mine by going to the longest steepest hill I could find and just riding down it, by the time I got to the bottom the brake was awesome. I do use a hope floating disk too, maybe that ressists heat more than normal rotors. I had a mono trial, it seemed cool, but while at a comp on sunday I rode down a VERY small hill and all the power went! It would grap or lock, even with two fingers, all it did was make the worst noise in the world. I dont know it was because that pads glased or maybe it had a leak but I wasnt a happy chappy.

  7. narr, thats just my tash. Is an ace machine, I didnt fancy having a go in the lake though, bit too unstable for my liking :P
  8. my finger slipped off my brake lever due to, arm pump, sweaty fingers and nerves. thats another one of Chris's pics (one of my faves). Its from Tech 04 where I had a crash very much like at the bike show, I fell off the reels I am gapping too, somthing went wrong and I fell off 6ft on to my back across a kerbstone, that hurt loads (look at my foot on the pedal) I think chris should have a gallery where he posts his pics and then people view them and can pay for copies of their faves, I recken that would be ace
  9. ha ha, I was hoping someone would have got the fall on film, I wanna know what it looked like. I didnt ride the rest of the day because I trashed my rim when I landed on it, BIG thanks to Dave and Adam for getting me up and running for the next day. I rode all the other demos apart from the last one on sunday when it was too painful to ride. It still hurts a little now, like coughing or sneezing and sleeping on my left, the doctor said I have bruised ribs.
  10. interact park is in burnley, so it will be even further for you to travel unfortunatley ;)
  11. I have ordered the spacer for you, the silver one is the longer of the two. I should get it some time this week, then I will post it on to you. bike looks ace too ;)
  12. I love the ones of Akkers and Ashton mid 360 gap, very swish. I dont s'pose you got any of little hairy me? ;)" I would be interested in purchasing one and framing it (probably a couple of other riders too) cya around
  13. there is more to ride in hebden than halifax and its all closer together come to hebden ;)
  14. come and ride hebden ;) I will be here
  15. yeah, my new frame has a 1075 wheelbase and super low bars, not the easiest bike to bunnyhop (Y) Me being better at street? yeah right! pumpkin arms!
  16. I am the opposite, it takes a lot for me to sweat, and then its only on my forhead. I see people with soaked t-shirts, I have never had that happen, I didnt realise people actually sweated that much!

    Tyres

how about making the rear tubless too? then you dont have to worry about puncture protection and have a bouncier tyre. PS I reccomend Kendas stick-E range, I have had mine about 4 months ish and they still have loads of tread left, they even do a dual compund if you want them to last longer. They also do super light front tyres too.

    Why Why Why

its a brand new computer with xp, when I lug my camera in, nothing comes up. It does with my digital camera. I think the problem is I dont have firewire, there is no port at the back of the computer (though there is a dv cable port on the front). I dont have adobe, but I do have movie maker (want to change though). Danny Smith can capture footage on his computer with my camera, but Iolo cant on his computer, its very random (Y)
  19. a competition bike is harder to bunnyhop than a sreety bike (well, mine is). I dont have the confidence the commit to bunnyhoping at a big old wall, the fear of my front not comming up enough is too much. When I pedal at it, there's no worry. I would like to be able to bunnyhop up hooks, but I aint gonna do them on my long wheelbase low bar height bike.
  20. I cant wait. I hope the sections are doable for me and my dodgy rear disk (Y) I dont wanna kill myself! My mum will be observing (yet again!) She has observed at as many comps as she can since 99! I think she deserves a brake. We need more of people parents to observe, when my cars on the road my mum wont be bringing me to any comps, so thats one less observer for the future. thanks for taking the tims to do the sections today guys, I cant wait to see them tomorrow >_<

    Why Why Why

I have been wanting to make trialvs vids gor 4 years now, 3 years ago I bought a camcorder thinking I would then be able to do exactly that.....how wrong I was! I got a camcorder, filmed stuff, and to my dissapointment I need more stuff to make vids. I then got myself a firewire card installed to my computer and got a DVi cable. Surely now I could edit vids? nope, Media player still says there is no device attached to the computer >_< I then went and bought myself a new computer earlier this year, I asked for a firewire card to be fitted, but I am pretty sure one wasnt. What I want to know is exactly what I need to make vids? Do I just use a DVi cable or do I need the usb cable as well? The camcorder came with software but I am pretty sure it was just for usb purposes to extract still pictures. Am I missing a cd that will let me get my beloved footage? (its a JVC GR-1800 btw) If I was to get a new firewire card, which should I get? I think thats all the questions, but if thers anything I need to know, please tell me. Ta taa
  22. I said it was cheating, mainly for the fact I cant bunnyhop :"> I do feel if you can bunnyhop its far easier to do it that way than pedaling, I prefer to learn things the hard (would say proper, but there isnt one) way, it might mean I spend longer learning and not get results fast, but it pays off in the end. Of course Benito and co bunnyhop, they are on mods! They bunnyhop so easy they are nearly all the way up before they need to hook.
  23. when I am riding mine stick out, but when I am not doing anything, you cant see them at all. I went to give blood a couple of weeks ago, but they had to turn me down because they couldnt find a vein to stick the needle in
