    Uci Worlds

I wanna do uci too, so does Iolo and wad, it would be cool if we could all go to events together, it would be like one big roadtrip (Y)
  2. I might have the oppertunity to have an alloy rotor made to my design by Wad. I have designed this (Wad hasnt seen it yet so I dont know if the final one will look like this) Now I realise that an untreated alloy rotor wont be much good and I dont wanna change pads. I have seen that Stans (of no tubes fame) rotors have a thin steel coating on the braking surface, I was wondering if anyone on here knows how this is done, or know of any other ways of getting a tough coating applied?

  4. I'm so cool (Y) I saw this about 3 years ago in an issue of mountain bike action. I think its a cool idea, but I think the problem mark said would be too annoying, it would feel like your rimming out on everything! It doesnt look that wide either. Also, on things like gaps, a lot of people (including me) tend to kick the bike out at an angle when landing, that rim looks like it would only really work if it was a straight hit, so we would still get punctures.
  5. well, as good as they are, I am getting rid of mine to get a marta, that should say somthing about how good they are (Y)
  6. which model are you looking at? I have the 140 disk and its awsome! 32 hole, smooth bearings, light as a feather, never had a problem with it and its many months old
  7. it looks vaigly simular if you squint hard enough, however, this looks about 100x better, every bit is different to an xtp if only it had a 15mm high bb

  9. I am beggining to think my sig was a tad big, so I have changed it
  10. a little short if I am being picky :( but I am in love :bunny:
  11. its really easy. this guide is from an empty system Take the pads out, find a suitable object to wedge the caliper pistons out (like a big allen key or block of wood)) Undo the resevoir bolts and take the lid off now fill it up with royal blood untill full undo the bleed nipple on the caliper a turn or two, squeeze the lever to force the fluid through. BEFORE you let the lever out again, do up the bleed nipple, this will suck the fliud though the system. Keep doing that BUT MAKE SURE THERE IS ALWAYS FLUID IN THE RESEVOIR!! If you let air in, you need to start again. If that isnt working properly just undo the bleed nipple a bit more and let gravity suck the fluid film, again you need to make sure the resevoir is kept full. once the caliper and hose is all full with no air (squeeze the lever with the bleed nipple closed to force any air out) fill the resevoir to the brim and fit the lid. Jobs a good'un
  12. ooohhh, that frames hit the spot :bunny: I LOVE the chainstay yolk and headtube. please please dont say its got a high bb though, if its 1075-1090, +10-20, and the standard short rear end I want one! I really want those shakers too lol
  13. ok then, I can see people pont. even if he did produce a frame, I am begining to doubt people would buy it from the sounds of things. I am sure when a cirten company (or two) is up and running, there will be some grat value frames out.
  14. I love those old skool levers  You could try hayes levers? not sure what piston size they have though, or if they take the same dot fluid.
  15. you could buy the correct seals to fit the system, I am pretty sure hope sells mineral oil seals so people can use their levers on shimano brakes so they dont have to use the paddle shifters
  16. yep, putting mineral fluid in a dot system kills the seals.........putting dot in a mineral system killes the seals shame really
  17. lol, never knew people had such grudges against him <_< He's northern, so he's always gonna be a little strange, but if a new frame was put out you wouldnt have to buy it, only people who cant afford leesons and such.
  18. the louise fr is an awesome brake! Really grabby but still had modulation, also sounds like a turkey <_<
  19. thanks every one, all imput is great <_<

  21. awsome!! Mint riding, mint editing, mint locations I liked it  bad point? your on a 20" :S bring back the megamo
  22. your missing the point, I have already met him in person and talked about it. I need as many people on here as possible to help put my point across that making the frame would be a good thing, at the mo there are only 2 24" frames out and the cheapest one is £400! A frame at nearly half that would be very popular I recken.
  23. evening Basicly I am trying to persuade Brant at On-One to consider producing a 24" trials frame. He lives local to me and has connections with the bikeshop I work in, so I see fairly often. I showed him some ideas when he was in once and he seemed *slightly* interested. On-One make some mint xc frames and even a 24" dirt jump frame. I think they all sell for around £225, so a trials frame at the price would be mint. He did say that when he was sponsoring the Trialskings with Planet X they were thinking about making a 24" frame for Dan, but they left the team before it could be looked into further. (or somthing along those lines) so it shows he was interested at one point at least. Basicly I want people to either post here trying to persuade him to make it, or actually send him an email, I recken it would be silly for Brant not to pass on an oppertunity like this. His email can be found on the On-One web site (tell him I told you to lol  ) www.on-one.co.uk I have started a topic on their forum, if people who are interested could back me up it would be great. cya
