  1. lol, I am glad you guys dont work in bike shops (Y) I do it this way: put forks with uncut steerer on bike and set up the stem and any spacers till its at the hight I want. Get a pen and mark the steerer using the top of the stem as a guide. Take forks off again and if you have a saw guid use that to cut at least 5MM BELOW the mark you made with the pen. A hacksaw is best tool, if you havnt got a saw giud, dont worry, cut it the straightest you can, it wont effect the topcap as it wont be touching the top of the steerer. Finally, file away any burrs and fit. The best way I find to fit a starnut without the proper tools is: screw the bolt that comes with it into the nut. Hit the bolt with a hammer into the steerer as straight as you can and about 10mm from the top of the steerer. Job done.
  2. I ride a bit heals out I think. if you can learn to ride with them straight then thats great, but I wouldnt worry too much about it.
  3. vinco is +80, yes that is huge, and yes I hate how it rides. I had a hifi with +55 bb and yes I hate how they ride. I have found + 10- + 20 is spot on, like the control, pure, levelboss, xtp, beleay etc etc, they all ride like a dream.
  4. I bloody wish my field wasnt on a 40 degree hill (Y) I would sell my teeth to have somwhere like that to ride on!!
  5. loving that crash (cant call it a bail as he didnt land on his feet (Y) )
  6. back cowm wants you, either that or kebs, or orcan rocks, or blackstone edge, or widdup resevoir......come to my house and the list is endless (Y)
  7. Ali C works in Blazing Saddles in Hebden Bridge, it has cult status (Y)
  8. looking cool little elf kid (Y) fast learner, you will be teaching me soon :) Shame it was bad quality. Oh, and I recken the monty you want will be much better for you, nice and short, might also be worth putting on a normal mtb stem, that t pro looks waaaaay too big for you.
  9. blowing stuff up is ace, asl long as its your own stuff and away from people. I wouldnt buy fireworks though, waaaay too exspensive
  10. been cautioned for taking food from a skip :-

    Old Skool Ali C Vid

I am suprised actually :- I will now say that in the vid I had already been riding 3 years, so that might change people impressions, most people nowerdays are better than that in their 1st years riding B)

    Toxsin 24"

narr, it wasnt sarc. I rode mod for 3 years but I always felt I had it easy compared with the stock riders, I didnt feel I was "proving" myself as a good rider unless I rode the harder bikes (nowerdays thats arguable) I guess it just stuck.

    Toxsin 24"

I would love one too, there are two reasons why I dont really want or need one. 1) cant enter comps 2) would almost feel like cheating being on the smaller easier bike, 26" is great because its the biggest challenge, no point making things easier for yourself, its wimping out :- Matt Staples bike was and is awesome, one of the better frames out in my books.

heres my idea for a nice street 24" frame......no copying :-
  15. if they are uci I deffo want to do all the comps next year.

    Toxsin 24"

Global had problems with the manufactuers in russia, I think they are planning on finding a new place, then try again with the trials rig. I guess I am saying steel as I already have a nice alu trials frame, I am wanting a 24" as a little on the side. But seeing though I have a comp set up with my main bike, I am wanting my 24" to be very bmxy, a total contrast to my usual bike, so I can do the stuff I cant normally do.

    Old Skool Ali C Vid

cheers dude, but you might be a little dissapointed, I am a slow learner B) The only other vids I can think of that I am in are HOF 2003 and hibernation, both from the 2003 time. I really want to make a vid, but my camera is bust :ermm:

    Best Pads

I use koxx green at the mo, they are the best pads I have used, mint bite, mint hole, mint in the wetn, mint wear rate. But the best brake I have tried was with coust pads, the brake just wouldnt move AT ALL!! EVER!!! I was blown away. I have had a few goes with the blue heatsinks, not greatly impressed really, ace bite, but no holding power. Plaz crms are prennt neat in the dry, but not in the wet. This is all using a nice harsh grind btw

after cleanbikes I rode an echo for a bit, then I rode for Global and now tartybikes.
  20. I am a naturist, I dont wear anything, cant offend anyone then (Y)
  21. thats not a mega spin :) Its just a 360 back pivot. a mega spin is where you go and stand on your chainstays and spin lots and lots and lots. 360 rear pivots are still good though, I can only do them on good days.
  22. very impressive felix, silky smooth as normal, nice editing too. I like your vids with no music, as I can then add my own and it doesnt clash. I particually like playing REALLY slow chilled out radiohead, goes REALLY well.

    Old Skool Ali C Vid

    (Y) ta guys There are a few moves in the vid that I cant do now. the big bunnyhop gap to the rail is one. The gap to the bollard near the end is the scaryest thing ever!! I really dont like the editing or the music, the clips change too soon, and sometimes the start of the move is cut off. I have no idea who did the editing though :)
  24. its pretty cool. but he does have one huge ass foam pit to try them into (Y) as for comps, I find them boring, I only watch them for the crashes, which isnt that often :)
