I did a BTEC ND graphic design course
I was ok, did the two year course with mainly deplomas, but I discovered graphic design was too much work for my liking. I HATED the computer stuff, that really gave me a headache, I just dont do computers.
The drawing bits were good though.
All in all, it hasnt helped me in my future career of a professional bum.
I can do a fair bit switch, bunnuyhops, manuals, backhops, gaps, sidehops, wheel swaps (pigeons) and so on.
I am trying taps latley, they are rather tricky.
the only way I haev managed to get me disks working again (including avid) was to buy new pads AND a new disk, I just couldnt get new pads and an old disk to work.
after 6 years of running a rear maggie, I am switching to a vee, more power, nicer feel.
I run a maggie marta disk with shimano lever of the front, its pretty good but hasnt got enough lever adjustment for my liking.
Got a hope mono trials which I am gonna try out again sometime.
take a moment and think about what you want from a set of bars.....
you might be a bit limited by your clamp size, but do you want stiff bars? (more feel, but ultimatley wares you out quicker) Slightly flexy bars (more comfy, allows you to ride for longer, maybe not as strong?)
do you need wide bars? if your sholders are narrow then wide bars canmake your riding worse.
more to bars than you might think....
to be honest it drives me up the wall when people say "dont ride in the wet because you will get hurt"
Its like every day riding, you should know your limits. , also know how slippery things are comes with exspirience
I am 21 :D Wish I was young though, less responsabilities
I work part time at a local bike shop, never managed to have a job before, I have slight brain illness and I cant cope with full time.
you anger me too dave :D
I came from a mountainbiking background, so I am used to all the big wheels, mods just seem odd to me, they are more nervous than a geko in a microwave to ride.
all depends on the observer, best bet is to make sure your foot is not touching the ground, even better, your pedal too.
I am most definatly not a comp virgin, I have done maybe 7 years worth of them, dont get nervous unless there is a big prize or a championship on the line.
yorkshire rules.
got more natrual places than you can shake a dead tree at, and who hasnt heard of Leeds for riding (even if it isnt the best street up here)
Also porthcawl is amazing, as is lake ogwin north wales
